Having a better lock in on the foot pad does in fact allow for better control as well as comfort while carving. I agree the Kush doesn't help with the technique of carving but it does lock your foot in better and add confidence. I have fishbones on the front as well and I notice more control with my turns as well as a reduction in foot fatigue. Nice review. 😎🤙
Nice confidence on the Pint. How many miles have you put in? You make some really helpful comments generally as you narrate this run. Good tip about keeping the knees loose and your weight back as you manage that technical downhill. I’m only just over 100 kilometres on my board, and while I am pretty comfortable and have got the flow of carving, it’s sometimes hard not to feel stiff as I roll over off camber surfaces. I find that going between pavement and grass, especially at an angle and if the actual ground is much lower that the pavement, I can really feel unstable and sometimes have to jump off. Any advice for that? Really good point about carving, too, and how it’s all about subtle movements. People don’t really mention that.
I think I’m right around 300 miles on the pint. I’d say you’re on the right track. Don’t ever hesitate to bail when things get squirmy. In terms of getting on and off different surfaces I’ve been practicing that quite a bit and the only real trick is to go with confidence that the board will handle it and move the weight back to the tail and let yourself hop up so you’re weightless during transitions. Have fun!
I also find that it's just too easy to really go fast on my pint. Only have about 150 miles but I'm probably too comfortable and both my nose dives have been from doing 18+. I'm constantly carving but I notice that if I take the sidewalk instead it does help keep my speed down. Great video...I'm still debating on the Kush Hi but not for carving, really more for foot fatigue. I wonder if switching to this will make me need to switch away from a flat-footed skate shoe?
Thanks for the video!! So im curious now, ive snowboard before and i agree to carve you really got to move those hips more than anything. Is it really worth the $105 for the kush nug HI? How i wished it was half the price.
It doesn’t make a dramatic difference at all. If you like customizing and kitting out your board go for it. But it does not make a big riding difference. That said, I haven’t stood on a board without one in a long time so I might retract that!
SuperClearyPhoto - I appreciate it!! Im still hesitant to pull the trigger but will you let us know in the future if it does change for you? Thanks again!!
dude really nice onewheel you should do A ride where you don't really talk and you can just hear the onewheel that would be cool. not trying to be rude.
Tuesday cant come soon enough lol so ready to try this thing out.
You’ll love it!
@@SuperCleary are you gonna try out battery mods for more range?
@@daslaer6969 No. I don't really use the Pint for its range and have only gotten myself stuck once (my fault).
The handle rocks
Enjoyed the video. Ordered a kush hi and looking forward to a more comfortable footing.

That's awesome! I think a huge component of grip too once you get to that level is going to be footwear choice too!
@@SuperCleary Agreed...I went with the Xero shoes as they are so close to barefoot with a wide toe box. My favorite so far. 🤙🤙
Getting mine tomorrow. Will prob call in sick.
That’s a very smart decision.
CrossFit Nano 6.0s and a OneWheel Pint. Instant like!
Yeaaa buddy

I enjoy listening to the commentary! He sounds like the guy that does the Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger videos! Lol
Do you think it will be worth upgrading from the kush nug lo to the hi?
Eh I know the hi is well, higher but that seems like overkill
