- Reaction on the song Fly away on the wings of wind. This song from Russian Opera "Prince Igor: ( Князь Игорь). Very beautiful song for very beautiful voice. Artist have to have good skills to be able to sing it. And Diana Ankudinova handle with this perfectly.
This is my favorite performance of Diana. I wish I could download it.

one of my favorite performances by Diana
This is one of my favorite songs of all time, i heard it for the first time way back on 1997 on an American cover called "Rapsodie" - "Prince Igor" it was mainly a rap song with the couplet being this song by Sissel Kyrkjebø.
I do not care about rap at all but this song made a huge impression on me as a child, i searched it, i listened to it a million times by everyone and i even managed to see the whole Borodin's "Prince Igor" on Opera twice.
I never expected to hear this from Diana since she has said that she will never sing Opera so i was hugely surprised when she did.
Diana does not go as high as others who have sang this song but her powerful voice hits differently and gives magnitude, vastness and other colors to this song, i have constant chills every single time i am listening to this from her.
My father was a great Classical music enthusiast and he loved the great Russian composers of the end of the19th century, Borodin being one of them. So I have known this opera since a kid and it’s one of my favorites and Diana executes it beautifully.
This is the slave aria from Borodin’s opera “Prince Igor”. This melody has been on my phone for 15 years!
