In my view, this show tells us what Superman supposed to be. Not a symbol of perfection that many people mistakenly equate him by, but a symbol of hope & human decency in a sea of cynicism. Don't you agree?
I would definitely agree. It's not about being perfect, it's just about trying, which is the distinction Lois draws between Clark and her father in episode 4.
Totally correct. In fact, this is his comic book contrast with Batman. Superman is the idealist, Batman is the cynic. Helping save people from everyday disasters is just as important to Superman as locking his rogues away in an asylum. This is why I felt a little bad for Henry Cavil given the way that they wrote his Superman as being too angsty. Tyler gets to play a Superman whose angst is more centered around the problems that he can't fix with super powers, and how he does whatever he can for his family and other people.
Superman wasn't portrayed as perfect in BVS. If he was he wouldn't stopped the bomb going off in the courtroom. That was the whole point of the scene. He cannot save everyone. Superman isn't a god, all Kryptonians have his powers.
This series is so good at relationships and showing healthy conflict between people. It never feels forced or contrived especially when you compare it to the other shows in the CWverse. I love it so much. Great video!
Exactly, like don't get me wrong, I have a lot of affection for the CWverse, but it's nice to see healthy conflict for once. Glad you enjoyed the video!
I hope they make 1 season of Tom Welling Superman with his farm life not doing super hero stuff, and President Luther sneaked in once in a while to eat pie of Kent's secret recipe.
I love the brothers' dynamic because it feels so real. A lot of the times siblings in shows either fall into the categories of hating each others guts or the unnatural "hey bro/hey sis" dynamic. But theirs is so real. Because ya siblings can fight and be mad at each other but it's just surface deep. The second something more important happens they are by each others side no matter what. No matter what they did or said to each other they love each other behind it all.
This comment hits close to home because it's honestly the best portrayal of a sibling dynamic in years. It shows the struggle of trying to be supportive of each other, and often failing, but the brothers keep trying. That's when you can see the love between them - when they goof up, but keep trying. About a month back, I got into a bit of an argument with my sister. It was tough, don't get me wrong - but an hour later, when she asked if I could take her and her family to the airport, I did my best to pull through for her. Because yeah, you're family at the end of it all, even if you get on each other's nerves. That's why I like Superman and Lois so much. There's a strong idealism to it, but these people are allowed to be human and screw up and be mad (especially Lois, it was great seeing her explain to Clark that she was upset and why) but then they keep moving forward.
I'm so glad Tyler got to portray such a faithful and inspiring Superman/Clark. I also feel bad for Henry who got to play this broken Superman and can't even get a proper sequel that explores who Superman truly is. P.S. he's doing great as Geralt tho
Dude thank you for acknowledging that Snyder got blocked by WB. Everyone else were dropping comments about him not understanding Superman and it's like they totally forgot that Cavill's Superman isn't complete. It's an unfair comparison to Tyler's Superman as his version is older and has already become the Man of Tomorrow that everyone know him to be.
@@anthonyclarke2253 Snyder doesn't understand superman and actually hates the character. All Snyder wants to do is compare superman to Jesus, do a few poses and make him evil. He doesn't understand superman and hopefully he won't touch the character again

Zac Snyder - Make Superman look like Batman. Todd Helbing - Can we make that red pop some more? Clark's dad dying of a heart attack teaches Clark that he's not all-powerful and he's definitely not godlike. Clark's dad dying because Clark wants to protect himself teaches him, I dunno its shit whatever it is.
Johnathan's death in Superman & Lois reminds me of the Chimera arc of the manga Fullmetal Alchemist. They are moments that remind the protagonist that for all their power they are not gods and that they are ultimately fallible. This is a critical life lesson for them as it is a perpetual reminder in their lives in the face of villains with God complexes lecturing them about how with enough power they could be "above such mortal concerns".
Me when i found out they were giving Superman two teenage children: "ok CW😒😒😒" Me 5 episodes in, after falling in love with the ENTIRE family: "OKAY CW!!! 😭👏🏾😭👏🏾😭👏🏾"
This Superman give me strength to finally brave enough to talk heart to heart with my parent, something that I've always afraid of. Superman give me strength and hope, and I finally realize how.. It is because that how he is supposed to be
After being disappointed with the drop in quality of the CW superhero shows over the years, I was so happy when Superman and Lois turned out to actually be great. I just hope they can maintain the quality going forward.
Superman from 'Man of steel' feels more like supergirl in comics. Dettached from humanity, trying to find her place in people, something what CW 'Supergirl' should have been like. Instead they made her like female superman.
Zack Snyder is a cynic. Not a cynic in the sense that Superman and Batman can't exist - but that men like Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne cannot. The same cynical view last seen in David Carradine's Bill from Kill Bill. That is why his version of Batman and Superman were so off. This show doesn't have that cynicism. It lets Clark be himself and shows you he indeed is relatable. Not a big fan of the Dean Cain Superman but this quote sticks with me "Superman is what I do. Clark Kent is who I am"
Honestly this is the best portrayal of superman and of lois lane. I think the problem has been that studios were always looking for superman when they made their movies or tv shows when they should have been looking for clark kent because it's clark kent that is superman not superman pretending to be clark.
Delving further into his humanity by showing that he can’t save everyone, just like with his father Jonathan. He can make mistakes too, he can’t be everywhere. He is human (well you know what I mean).
The thing that the show gets right is the thing the MCU got right with Steve Rogers at the core Clark Kent is a good man while Captain America can be physically hurt in more ways than Superman, nothing hurts Steve Rogers or Clark Kent more than not being able to save the day. If Steve Rogers or Clark Kent couldn't save a little girl's cat falling off a skyscraper, they would feel that for weeks. That is what this version of Superman got right that nobody really seems to have gotten right since Christopher Reeve - well maybe Tom Welling did.
@@anthonyclarke2253 What's the point of bringing cavill's superman in every comment? Bro, you snyder fans have to accept the fact that not everyone likes his take on dc's heroes. Just how hard is it for you guys to swallow that fact?
@@Edward_Ardy4671 I can accept everyone's opinion. What I can't accept is the ignorance or the unwillingness to understand that Cavill's version is incomplete and comparing him to Reeves or even Routh is unfair That's all.
@@anthonyclarke2253 it's not really unfair because snyder seems to have completed it with ZSJL but I still dislike it because of how he started. I always compare superman films with the comics I've read, and cavill's superman is really on the low bar because it's seems to be based on injustice superman which is what I consider one of the most mediocre versions of superman. Man of Steel's fight scenes are good However, I don't think I can sympathize with someone whose father discourages him to use his powers to save lives, let his father died in a tornado when he can, who's dumb enough to ask a random priest for advice to cope with his kryptonian problems, and also, someone who has no concern for human lives. Every superman adaptation I've seen would take the fight on places where no one's living (Superman and Lois, even Red Son Superman) or if the situation's inevitable, he would do everything to prevent casualties (which what happened with superman 2 and Superman and Lois final episode).
@@Edward_Ardy4671 This is precisely my point. Zack's version of Superman is loosely based on injustice. Batman's nightmare sequence is where he goes full injustice when he's under Darkseid's influence. Zack's intention was to have a 5 film character arc where we would see Cavill's Superman become the man of tomorrow that everyone know and loves over the course 5 stories. It got cut short, end with justice league. Also why is it dumb to seek counselling? Remember Clarke was still trying to figure out his place in the world. The comics you read already have Clarke fully secure in his identity and where he fits in society. That's why I say it's unfair. I know some folks don't like deconstruction but I think was working well, WB just got cold feet and didn't by into Zack's vision.
I remember when I saw a still of Tyler as superman. My response was "that guy isn't superman". Then he showed up on screen and I was blown away. He is truly the best on screen superman since Christopher Reeve. Don't get me wrong dean Cain was great, Tom welling would have been probably better but he only wore the suit for what 30 seconds. Henry and Brandon just had bad scripts, evident by Brandon's awesomeness in "crisis".
Love this analysis of this show. As much as I liked Man of Steel, this show made me love Superman, and Clark Kent. And Tyler Hoechlin is my favorite Superman, and man, he's so charming as Clark Kent!
MOS is pure garbage .made me not watch DC live action movies for years .i know u liked the movie bcuz of action but if u liked that movie its just saying that u have no idea how character would be cuz cavil superman has no character or any personalities .
I catch up with every episode because we need hope and every episode shows that. Where Smallville is in an economic depressive state, the people are just as hope as ever. Giving what they can.
This show gets that Superman's greatest strength and greatest weakness are the same thing, which is what the Donner/Reev version of Superman understood. At the core being a good man whose moral compass always points true north means you try hard because you will feel the loses forever.
I have to say, you are the best speaker I have ever heard. I'm 70 years old and I've been around. I've listened to a lot of these programs, and you are definitely amazing. You have a very good understanding about Superman. And you do a very good job of letting us understand who he is and who he should be. I really enjoyed this series, I hope it keeps running a long time. Thank you for your assessment of this show as well as others. God bless you and your family. Rodney Moore.
Christoper Reeves: The OG Man of Steel, never to be forgotten Henry Cavill: A unfortunately waste of potencial, he deseved more Dean Cain: The original Clark/Superman in the OG show that was called Lois and Clark. Tyler Hoechlin: The superman we wanted to see again and he finally arrived Margot Kidder: One of the most iconic Lois Lane of the screens Bitsie Tulloch: To a new iconic interpretation of the famous daily planet reporter Also I pay my respects for all the forementioned and the other actors and voice actors that portrayed superman.
thank you very much .. It's always a pleasure to meet someone who actually understands the true essence of Superman.... The Superman I know would run a million miles to save a kid with an incurable brain tumor, refuse to play the NFL because he had an unfair advantage over other players... Argue with his dad about adopting a stray dog .. The Flash called him 'Kara's Super Cousin' to which he replied 'Please call me Clark'....The Flash told him that the rest of the league could never beat Amazo without him and he disagreed about it.... Chris Reeves said it best when he said 'A Friend' when he was asked what Superman represents... That's the Superman we always needed...And I am more than happy that we finally got the Superman we deserved through Superman and Lois which is ten times better than the Snyder Verse nonsense
Reminds that heroes don't have to be dark and take a life to be great this is what made us, fall in love with heroes the level of inspiration they can give i hope the rest of the other superhero movies and shows go back to these roots
I love this show so much and mostly because of the relationships love how everything is portrayed, the superhero stuff is nice but I think we all seen Superman deal with that so much that is a breath of fresh air to see a show about Superman just living life, no over exaggerated drama, just realistic reactions about life with some alien/superpower stuff mix in.
This video was so on point and perfectly explained why the show is so great! One of my favorite scenes was when Jordan's powers started acting up at school and Jonathan comforted him and told him to breathe. He reminded me so much of the way his namesake was portrayed on Smallville whenever Jon Kent helped Clark. I absolutely loved the dynamic of the brothers! It was so raw and real and natural. Between the writing, acting, and cinematography, this show blows every other CW Arrowverse show out of the water!
They can be a great people, Kal-El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you... my only son Superman is meant to inspiring, to lift us up from where we are, to where we could be, to where he is.
Superman and Lois is the greatest representation of Superman put on television. The movies definitely missed the point of Superman. Nothing against Cavill of course. The Johnathan Kent death in Man of Steel was stupid but Cavill really sold it.
Having watched a big chunk of the show, one moment that distinctively stands out to me is where Clark is really down in the dumps and not sure what he's supposed to do or how he can do it, Lois tells him, "You're Superman. Go be Superman." And you know what that was for? Not to punch anybody, fight anybody. No, it was so that he would go out and inspire people, be a point of comfort for the people of Smallville. THAT'S who Superman. Not an edgelord who fights alien threats, no, but a symbol of peace and hope. Of optimism, and a figure that inspires positivity.
When the heroes falls from grace(Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow),.... ....another one will rise(Superman & Lois). *Cue John Williams' Superman score*
Love your take on this! I genuinely smile every time I watch this show, it is refreshing after the contrived lying and drama of the other arrowverse shows, and makes me really want to root for the characters!
Family dynamic of Tomasi & Gleason’s Superman run during DC Rebirth + teen drama of Smallville + atmosphere and tone of Superman Returns = Superman & Lois
I just hope that keeping who Clark is behind the glasses from Lana, Sarah and Kyle doesn’t fracture their relationships. I hope Sarah could understand why he couldn’t tell her the secret because it isn’t his secret to tell. It’s Clark’s. I hope Lana would be happy about Clark being Superman and being like that’s why you left Smallville all those years ago. She would be happy for him and amazed that her best friend is the greatest hero that ever lived, Superman!
Every time I watch one of these, TH-cam examinations of Superman and Lois, I start to cry - happy tears! I have lived my entire life with Lois Lane is my central hero, and I feel so gratified that others love her as well. Bitsy Tulloch is perfect in that role and Tyler Hoechlin is equally perfect as Clark. And the writers! It’s so clear that they know exactly who they are writing about. Sometimes you have to wonder how some of our well loved superheroes or being portrayed. Not in this show. I’m also glad beyond description that there is no sort of rivalry between Lois and Lana. When I heard that Lana would be part of the show, I was worried they were going to make it some sort of soap opera. So happy that did not happen. At last, a Lana I can like!
The reason why they didn't have Superman in the first season was that they wanted Supergirl to be center and not be merely a segue to Superman. After she was firmly established, THEN the time was right to intro her cousin.
The thing that is somewhat difficult more so, for modern writers, is acknowledgment of the duel identities and how do to acknowledge/express that aspect of life. Clark Kent is unique because by default. He has three identities Clark, Kal-El and Superman, while others normally only have two professional and personal. The use of the family dynamic with teen boys, coming into their powers, especially helps to blend the aspects of his identities together. Because they’re at the point of needing their full father not just Clark.
I really like what you said sir. Superman growing up in a rural area in the 21st century or the late 20th Century and being shown as a rural dad with a city bred wife who is indeed self-sufficient. I was raised in a rural area and was not born in the same area but in a small city hospital which is now considered a bedroom community for Charlotte, NC. It is Salisbury, NC and has two colleges one of which is an HBCU and the other a PWI. Both are church schools but continue to work together, /my mom went to the HBCU and my dad graduated from an all-black high school two blocks from the same HBCU that she graduated from Both were rural kids and both were from families who were all about healthcare and education. They married each other and raised me and my brothers. We did well after college but when both parents got sick, we banded together and took care of them until they passed. Nothing wrong with being raised in a rural area but yes Rural America is dying, and rural school systems are falling behind with career choices being limited. We left/commuted and worked here in NC, up north and in my oldest brother's case in Europe. I love the way that this version of the Superman and Lois love story was redone and also the family dynamics that are being explored. Twins run in my mom's family, so I get it. And it is also refreshing to see just how a superhero married to a non-super woman works out and the results sort of remind me of my folks. My dad was a vet in WWII and my mom was a teacher. They married late, worked, took care of their folks and had us later on. I love this series.
The only thing that makes me sad Is that CW will somehow find a way to f**k this show, Remember Vampire diaries and Riverdale's first season. They were watchable and even fun sometimes, but as more seasons came, CW somehow found a way to destroy all the Momentum of 1st season and utterly and completely f*cked the show.
What about first two seasons of 'Arrow and Flash?' They were really good. Arrow had it's ups and downs but ended as an overall good (I would rather say 'fine') show, but The Flash has become an absolute garbage, unwatchable show. I hope they won't f*ck up Superman and Lois.
Even though, Superman and Lois is no longer considered part of the ArrowVerse’s Earth Prime, The show is still amazing. Seriously, I’m not usually a fan of superheroes but this groundbreaking show has me interested.
One point I just wanna say. Cavill's Superman and Hoechlin's Superman are on different time of their lives. One is starting to figure out who he should be, and one has already established his mind and determination for the world. I think they are both good, like Batman Year One and The Dark Knight Returns.
Superman was serious in Man of Steel but saying he acts like Batman is Ridiculous. When Superman found out Lex Luthor framed Batman *and* Him he tried to convince him. Batman was the Cynical hero while Superman was Non-Cynical. Batman realized he was wrong when he saw that Superman had a family, he was just a man with powers. I think both these Superman portrayals are great.
They bring up man of steel because it’s a cynical look in the character itself. He’s someone who grew up on Earth but doesn’t understand humanity like he just landed here. He can’t figure out a way to stop Zod without breaking his neck which is f***king wild for superman. His belief in humanities goodness is so low he doesn’t rescue his father from a tornado out of fear of humans. He doesn’t seem to get that humanity and love for humanity until his space father who has never been to earth tells him that he’s a symbol basically a god for these people. So his love for humanity doesn’t come from how he was raised, it doesn’t come from being among humans it comes from a his soace daddy spirit telling him to protect humans. Yea that’s terrible
@@abelavich7914 Lmao. Jonathan Kent literally told Clark to hide his identity and not to save him. In DC superheroes have secret identities, this isn't marvel. Superman has killed in the comics but only when he has no choice. Wonder woman in the comic breaks Maxwell Lords neck but in the movie she reasons with him instead. Anyway General Zod was destroying the whole city, Superman had to kill him, if he didn't Metropolis would of been obliterated. The justice League has a no kill rule but there are exceptions. Batman is usually the most strict and never kills but Superman and especially wonder woman have killed big threats. Superman in the comics has killed Zod, Brainiac, Darkseid and Lex Luthor.
I think MoS is good not great mind you but good. One thing that I & many others say is that we needed a sequel to MoS where Clark becomes superman. But we never got that instead we got BvS where he fights & dies, Justice league 17 where he has some of the classic elements & ZSJL where we go back to the evil Superman trope.
I think this gets into one of my biggest issues with BvS and the others... It just completely skips over Clark's story and him actually dealing with the ending of MoS.
@@RossTalksAbout even when Snyder says that in his JL 3 he will become the Superman we know & love it doesn't feel like that. The problem is if he wanted to show that then show that in the Justice league. He had 70 million yet he wasted that money on unnecessary things like the Knightmare sequence, he could spend that money shooting new scenes for Superman & him connecting with his loved ones & seeing how everything has fallen in despair over the battles & deaths inadvertently caused by him he begins to think that maybe he should protect more people & care for those in needs by being a beacon of hope. Snyder could do that but he didn't instead he literally wasted money on unnecessary CGI. Also in JL 2 Superman would be evil then what's the point for the 3rd movie where he would be on the verge of being evil ? If he has always been potrayed as a God on the verge of collapse then what is the point of teasing it? When we know it is more than possible. I really hope that Cavill gets to do actual Superman as he wants that for a long time. In interviews when Cavill talks about Superman he clearly wants to play it like Tyler, so does Adams like Bitsie wants to play classic Lois. I really think both are good with a good script executed well we may finally get a good movie Superman.
I think Snyder honestly never just understood what makes Superman interesting. I get that he wanted to go from a specific angle that tried to question traditional heroes, but Superman just doesn't work for that kind of deconstruction, unless you go full-ham on it like The Boys does. And as you say, waiting for several movies to get into it and killing off the character and having the world fall in love with him off-screen just makes for an uninteresting interpretation, to me at least. I'd love to see Cavill and Adams get another shot with a different writer or director, buy The Witcher probably put a moratorium on that.
@@RossTalksAbout I agree but except watching the Snyder cut I understand that Snyder has a grasp on how DC characters should be but for some illogical dumbfounded reason he chooses not to, he just wants to adapt, cram & push every good comic into one movie without any of the context that made the comics story good in in the first place. I think he knows how these characters should be, but he just loves Frank miller (bad idea & choice for those reading comics for the past 10 years) & Watchmen comics to the point he just wants to do that but with actual DC hero's who are not about that at all. In fact DC tried that with the New 52 it failed miserably & almost made DC lose it's shares in the comic book market. Also yeah I hope Cavill, Adams & Diane lane get to potray how these characters are suppose to be with a balance between action & drama like Superman and lois & not a borefest like Superman returns. She is Kara Zor-El at heart as she was raised as a Kryptonian first and had to learn to pretend to be human to fit in on Earth. Thank you so much you hit the nail right on the head. I am a 68 year old woman and I was brought up with two younger brothers who were Superman mad. It’s not really been my scene - certainly since Christopher Reece in the films. I caught this series by accident and was going to turn it off when I realised what it was about but I was intrigued by the setting and this Superman felt so much more grown up. I love the way the episodes spin a weave of real-life through, among the feats Superman faces and lets face it they are feats not just a lot of heroics. It’s very cleverly written and the actors are amazing. Tyler and Bitsie are so convincing as are the boys. It’s a version of Superman that is reminiscent of the comics my brothers had but has allowed Clark to mature and take us on that journey with him. The only downside is that next season, Season 4, is to be their last. The writers didn’t want it to end and neither did the actors but it seems the powers that be didn’t want to have another Superman around (even tho it’s on the small screen) when the new Superman film is released next year. I am absolutely gutted and also angry that someone could make such decisions for me, implying that I would be confused by the two iterations being played at the same time. Well guess what, as a result I will NOT be watching the new film and I hopefully can get the 4th season of S&L on DVD to add to my collection and I can watch the whole thing again. So if there are more people like me, then the plan backfired.
Don't think about what you would do , instead wwsd "what would superman do " ... oh sure it does anger you but do you want to exert it on the new cast of dcu?
I am aware you kinda has only made a video a series up until now but I really would like to know your opinion on Superman & Lois now the first season is entirely out. I loved it as much as you did and it certainly is my definitive version of Superman, but it was a little disappointing to me how quickly it shifted the focus from the mental health and capitalist aspect to a more whimsical comicbook-like fight between good and misguided, effectively sidelining the Human aspect that set it apart from the rest. Don't get me wrong, I still love it, but I feel it had all the right pieces in all the right places but was too afraid to go for the kill.

Me when i found out they were giving Superman two teenage children: "ok CW😒😒😒"
Me 5 episodes in, after falling in love with the ENTIRE family: "OKAY CW!!!
They will. Same with Stargirl and Naomi.
Thank HBO Max who produces this and Stargirl.
Superman from 'Man of steel' feels more like supergirl in comics. Dettached from humanity, trying to find her place in people, something what CW 'Supergirl' should have been like. Instead they made her like female superman.
Interesting observation.
Spot on
I have a question: when will Kara grow up to be superwoman?
Tyler is the best Clark we've had since Chirstopher.
Yeah, he's like a guy that only likes superheroes from their powers
Honestly this is the best portrayal of superman and of lois lane. I think the problem has been that studios were always looking for superman when they made their movies or tv shows when they should have been looking for clark kent because it's clark kent that is superman not superman pretending to be clark.
Finally a bright and optimistic take on Superman. I might check it out. There is just one slight snag. They couldn't "save Martha".
WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME??!!
This show gave us the most complete version of Superman. I'm not the biggest fan of Superman, but I'm loving this.
Complete being the operative word. Cavill's Superman incomplete because Snyder hasn't finished telling his story.
What I can't accept is the ignorance or the unwillingness to understand that Cavill's version is incomplete and comparing him to Reeves or even Routh is unfair
That's all.
I was really excited when I first saw those two as Lois and Clark. I loved Grimm and Teen Wolf growing up.
I didn’t think I’d like so much drama in a Superman type of media, but damn it’s the best part of the show and I’m glad they went with it
Love this analysis of this show. As much as I liked Man of Steel, this show made me love Superman, and Clark Kent. And Tyler Hoechlin is my favorite Superman, and man, he's so charming as Clark Kent!
See there you go, you can love this series without needlessly tearing down Snyder's Superman.

I catch up with every episode because we need hope and every episode shows that. Where Smallville is in an economic depressive state, the people are just as hope as ever. Giving what they can.
We can always use a little bit of extra hope, glad to have found a show that agrees.
The writers of this series are just reflecting what is really happening in Rural America right now.
I love Superman & Lois so much. The best Superman Live action since Christopher Reeve. Excellent video!
I adore this show - it's my favorite take of Superman ever. I knocked out all 3 seasons in like 4 days lol
Best Superman show ever and Tyler Hoechlin is the best Superman ever. Gives me hope in the darkness
Christoper Reeves: The OG Man of Steel, never to be forgotten
Henry Cavill: A unfortunately waste of potencial, he deseved more
Dean Cain: The original Clark/Superman in the OG show that was called Lois and Clark.
Tyler Hoechlin: The superman we wanted to see again and he finally arrived
Margot Kidder: One of the most iconic Lois Lane of the screens
Bitsie Tulloch: To a new iconic interpretation of the famous daily planet reporter
Also I pay my respects for all the forementioned and the other actors and voice actors that portrayed superman.
Really nice video. Captures why Superman and Lois is so good. Never expected a show like this to be so grounded in realism and to have such heart.
Superman stories are always best when they're about the Man, not the Super.
The arrow verse cross-over indicated Tom Welling's Supe has two daughters.
thank you very much ..
This show proves that a good script and direction can bring back the greatest hero back especially in this age when it's most needed.
*THIS IS WHY THIS SHOW WORKS, THANK YOU*
I love this show so much and mostly because of the relationships love how everything is portrayed, the superhero stuff is nice but I think we all seen Superman deal with that so much that is a breath of fresh air to see a show about Superman just living life, no over exaggerated drama, just realistic reactions about life with some alien/superpower stuff mix in.
Im.a grown ass man at 38 and this show makes me twar up on the regular. Its so authentic
LOVE BOTH VERSIONS!!! THEY ARE BOTH AWESOME!!!!!!! WE CAN HAVE THEM BOTH, AS BOTH IS NECESSARY FOR OUR GENERATION
THIS IS AN ABSOLUTLEY BRILLANT SHOW!!!
For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you... my only son
Superman is meant to inspiring, to lift us up from where we are, to where we could be, to where he is.
Superman and Lois is the greatest representation of Superman put on television. The movies definitely missed the point of Superman. Nothing against Cavill of course. The Johnathan Kent death in Man of Steel was stupid but Cavill really sold it.
Superman & Lois: Making Super Human Again ❤️
nanas sama dewa
The shows a testament to not only the superman world but to TV and how good shows could be
Having watched a big chunk of the show, one moment that distinctively stands out to me is where Clark is really down in the dumps and not sure what he's supposed to do or how he can do it, Lois tells him, "You're Superman. Go be Superman."
And you know what that was for?
Characters talking to each other. it is so simple.
he is perfect at embodying the real superman/ Clark Kent.
Incredible but I would expect no less!
Thank you, much appreciated.
Family dynamic of Tomasi & Gleason’s Superman run during DC Rebirth + teen drama of Smallville + atmosphere and tone of Superman Returns = Superman & Lois
Thank you so much for this wonderful video. It brought tears to my eyes. That is right. That is not a big S.
It means HOPE!
This version of Superman is like a mirror opposite of Homelander from the boys
I adore both actors, and they both bought something very different. I am just so pleased they both got to play that role.
This show made me fall in love with superman again.
I keep rewatching chocolate bacon SOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!!’ 😂

Your interpretation of W.B.'S Superman and lois is why i truly love this version of Superman and i look forward for the new season to begin.
13:30 like Dean Kane said in his version of superman "Clark is who I am, Superman is what I can do"
Sarah, Jon, and Jordan are the most interesting and most fun parts imo
Also, the twist with which brother got powers was clever. If you read the comics, you would guess incorrectly.
This show and DC Rebirth’s Superman & Action Comics being run by Tomasi & Gleason and Jurgen are the perfect modern adaptation of the Man of Tomorrow.
Yannow, you could take "Superman" out and leave Clark and the show would still be a compelling drama of a family's life in small town America.
The way to maintain quality in later seasons of a show is to keep the same showrunners and core group of writers.
Just realized the visual aesthetic matches the Reeves Superman in 78.
The comparison between S&L and Man of Steel was perfect.
This has renewed the geek in me thank you to this show
I want to see more episodes with that 1930’s suit.
Great show
Superman was serious in Man of Steel but saying he acts like Batman is Ridiculous.
Superman in the comics has killed Zod, Brainiac, Darkseid and Lex Luthor.
not even 1 dislike, looks like even the bots agree that its an amazing show
I have been waiting for a Supes story like this since I walked out of a movie theater in 1978.
This show had me from the opening sequence of the pilot.

Funnily enough Man of Steel's narrative would be a perfect fit for Supergirl. wow really well said. great video.
Don't think about what you would do , instead wwsd "what would superman do " ... oh sure it does anger you but do you want to exert it on the new cast of dcu?
the fact that the Injustice games exist in this universe....Lex totally put some money into those, since he is a hero in them xD
I hope they don't cancel this show
I am aware you kinda has only made a video a series up until now but I really would like to know your opinion on Superman & Lois now the first season is entirely out.
