One of the most beautiful performances of this variation. Just stunning. Lush, elongated lines, her dynamic musicality is breathtaking. (I usually like the version with the Italian fouettés better.) The opening with her just balancing for a second longer before a wide full sweep is what’s missing from so many Russian ballerinas who pose more and dance less.
That first balance is just stunning and makes for a great opening to a beautifullly lush performance! I wish that triple pirouette would have worked out for her more cleanly, that would have been the cherry on the cake! It is anyway - but it would have been just that wee bit more of perfection...!
