I for one don't use Hole table. It's use is limited to just X and Y coordinates. Details of the hole can be directly stated in the drawing as an annotation. This also helps to have separate groups of holes of same specs but belonging to different pattern feature. Hope I could make myself clear.
Hi Dave, I believe that the update issue that you have mentioned --> when you add/remove pattern instances the hole table is not updated properly, is resolved with Creo 8.0. So far it required a user action to update the tables and now it will be done automatically as you will switch to the drawing window or during drawing retrieval
Hi Dave, your videos are amazing! Just curious, I'm able to view the tags by clicking the 'axis tag display' button. Everything is beautiful and perfect, but when I go to publish it in windchill, the tags disappear and I'm left with only the axis. Any ideas? thanks again!
I can't remember if the publishing recipe file allows axis tags to be visible in the resulting PVS file. You might want to check out my video on editing a recipe file.

The hole table seems to be incomplete in a couple of ways. You mentioned it not picking up the extrusions- I would guess that maybe it would pick them up if, for example in your second part, you created the tabs and then extruded a second time to cut the holes? What makes me more nervous is that, in your second part again, it looked like your 10-24 holes had a counterbore. The hole table did not reflect that at all. Incomplete information is only so helpful. With blind holes will it show depths? I was waiting to see how to show the hole table coordinate system on the drawing- do you just have to turn on that visibility and hide all other coordinate systems? Or is there a command similar to section views where you go back and add arrows after the fact? I liked how Inventor handled that by selecting the coordinate system origin in the drawing and in the view your hole table was referencing (and then it showed it). I know Creo 8 is supposed to have a good deal of updated hole functionality- hopefully the hole table gets an update as well.
I showed the way it works and also explained my apprehensions. You manage coordinate system visibility the same way you manage visibility of any coordinate systems.

Recently, I used the hole table in Creo 5 for some threaded holes as well as clearance holes of M12 X 1.75. The diameter column returned the same value of diameters for both type of holes. I think it should have shown clearance hole diameter instead of standard thread for the clearance hole. Any solution for this problem or if you may convey to the developer for future versions?
Hole Tables did get an update in Creo 8. I do not convey information to the product managers as the appropriate mechanism for this is the Ideas section of PTC Community, which anyone can submit to.
Hi Dave, Thanks for you nice videos about Creo Shown here. Unfortunetly I have to tell that PTC has a looooootttt to learn with the competitors on how to make a Hole Table. Actually, the one you show in this video is so poor that has almost no use for professionals. It just shows hole #, X, Y and diameters. If I send this to the factory to execute a bunch of holes in a mold cavity, they will laugh on me. A good Hole table should describe the hole at all like: Hole A1, Combo Hole Ø3/8" thru/Ø10mm T60/@15.2mm T6.35mm, X=60, Y=100 Or Hole A2, Threaded Hole Ø1/2" T27.00, X=80, Y=120 That will be ok to execute all the holes in radial driller.
I hope you have submitted this to Ideas on PTC Community. This always gets a lot of discussion in the various meetings and I know Michael is receptive to improving the functionality.
I have videos next month on how to apply force loads in Creo Simulate but not specifically on steel structures. But the same concepts apply. There's nothing particular to applying loads to a steel structure as opposed to ferrous and non-ferrous metals, polymers, composites, or any other materials.

If changing the decimal marker in the drawing properties didn’t help, I recommend opening a ticket with PTC Technical Support.

This video confirms that Creo does not have hole table as such. I have not met anyone among Creo users who uses hole table in Creo drawings.
