  • Review of Char-Broil 190 Table Top Gas Grill Model 465133010.
    First use grilling hotdogs using a disposable 16 oz propane gas tank.
    I already have a Weber Smokey Joe Silver which I truly like for my charcoal grilling needs but winter is near and I wanted a gas grill counterpart for easier grilling in colder weather. This Char-Broil table top gas grill met most of my expectations after this initial test. At $25 it is proving to be a good value purchase.
    Two issues:
    - The legs do not fold and lock over the lid so you will need to tie them together somehow and be careful and use both hands during transport.
    - You need to remove the regulator in order to properly fold the legs.
    Other than that the grill produces good heat, is small, and stores nicely -- convenient for small grilling tasks.
    As for longevity only time will tell but if it does last then I may consider buying a Char-Broil 4' Hose and Adapter to connect to a standard refillable propane tank.

    Hey buddy good video, I too just bought one of this small affordable portable gas grill, I paid $35.00 plus $10.00 for 2 small propane containers spent total of $45.00 saving some cash @ the end & to be honest with u an everyone else watching & reading this comment, people u can not go wrong with this little grill, as small as it is or it made seeing it does the job for a very affordable price, I was about to buy the one the costs about $129.00 @ Walmart, which I am so glad that I didn't once I got this little but amazing Gigant gas portable grill, it won't disappoint u, so let's jus be realistic for the price believe it is worth every dollar. Gas wise is also a plus small gas containers making even easier to carry or transport @ any place or park of ur choice without breaking ur wallet so I give it a 5👍👍👍👍👍

    Nice work with the information in the video. I actually have a question.
    I'm new to griling out and I just purchased the Charbroil model you used for the video. Is the gap/hole between the regulator and burner supposed to be completely empty? I was under the impression that a hose would be there. I've read that this is so that air can help with heat but I'm not sure at all.
    Thanks,
    B.

    • @whatevervlog
      @whatevervlog  9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If you are referring to the square holes then they are empty; their purpose is to mix air with the propane gas. The holes are sometimes called the "air shutter" and is adjustable in some burners -- the general rule is more air means a more blue flame while more propane gas means a more yellow flame. A yellow with blue tip flame is supposed to be ideal. For more: th-cam.com/video/CPC95OK57S0/w-d-xo.html

      You turn the regulator upside down, you push the regulator in then twist it 180 degrees and it will lock and fully seat.
      Don't try and force it in. You must turn the regulator upside down in order to install it

      you could also get some patio bricks and lay them down with the grill legs on top. both bricks and the pad would be easy to transport if desired. Bricks on top of the pad would raise it up somewhat higher.

    Do you know why there are holes near regulators? Should it not completely sealed???

    • @ericlam6644
      @ericlam6644 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It gives it the "venturi effect" where has a high pressure pulls from the low pressure giving it a vacuum like effect. In order to have combustion, you need oxygen in which the hole pulls it through.

    This thing is so bad. You need lava rocks because the metal is so damn thin and the btu is only 11k. it won't stay hot enough for anything but hotdogs.
    We went camping this weekend and I actually left this thing near one of the dumpsters at the campsite. I did not wanna bring it back home with me.
    I ended up cooking the short ribs, steaks, and pork belly over the open pit grate at the camp site.
    I should have spent $10 more and got a Smokey Joe Webber. Our neighbors were using that and they were turning out great food on that little guy.

    • @FourDollaRacing
      @FourDollaRacing 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I disagree! This propane grill makes a great companion to the Weber Smokey Joe. For grilling. Not for low-and-slow barbecuing! BTU's means nothing to a real pit master. Your complaints that it won't get hot enough to cook cuts of meat that are traditionally slow-cooked, are hypocritical! This grill will absolutely get hot enough to sear a steak. But, it is in no way, designed for indirect cooking of ribs, etcetera.... OPERATOR ERROR!

  • @APVT80
    @APVT80 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Absolute worst grill possible. As soon as any drop of grease hits that ultra-hot aluminum plate, it bursts into extreme flames. Teeny little hot dogs like this are a poor test and a poor example because most other foods have significant fan content ( sausages, chicken ,steak, burgers) actually will drop fat onto the plate and generate an out of control grease fire. Whats more is that the regulator and gas delivery system is ultra cheap as well. There are two levels: high and a notch below high. So you can't even turn the heat down if you wanted to. Flame distribution is poor with cold spots in many places. The bottle attachment system is a joke and a danger to everyone around the grill. To anyone reading....never, ever buy this utter hunk of junk. At best your food will taste like a grease fire. At worst your house will burn down.
