Last year stayed at Phra Tamnak Soi 5 at The Sanctuary Resort Pattaya, BW Signature Collection. Right down by the beach, huge roof top pool, large comfortable rooms and there was a shark tank in the restaurant ! Very well priced for the quality, 100% recommend. Much prefer this area to Central Pattaya. Worth a look.
I've stayed here for new years last year. It's a good hotel. Rooms felt a bit small (just like it is), but I am a fan of the holiday in express. There is a laundry very close as well and a nice massage place across the street.
Excellent review! We also drive our car so we are always looking for hotels with ample parking. Most TH-cam reviewers don’t usually think about parking, so thank you!
I've stayed there before and enjoyed my stay very much. I wasn't bothered by the breakfast at all. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you for always being informative.
I stayed there in Nov 2023 and I really liked it. Super clean, quiet, stylish and breakfast was good. I paid around 2000 THB per night. Only thing I didn’t care for was the Pool but not a deal breaker.
good review. i would consider holiday inn express in the lower than middle of the road tier, just higher than motel 6 holding the bottom rank. your camera showed us all the reasons why and you were satisfied more than they deserve. there's a good reason why they didn't name just holiday inn and added express. it's all thought out market segmentation. we get what we pay for.
That breakfast wasn’t too bad for an included breakfast, especially for the price of the room and the fact you can order eggs and omelettes fresh from the kitchen, if it was an extra add on I could see the disappointed . Pretty decent hotel.
As I said in the upload it was a very good hotel and I would stay there again I also said the breakfast was okay which is all it was it wasn't great as a standard international hotel they should have had real bacon and sausages they had a hot dog sausage like they serve in a 500 bar a night Hotel it's my personal opinion I'm allowed to have an opinion if you don't agree with it that's fair enough
I think the "sleep with me" hotel nearby is the best value similiar very clean but bigger rooms, car park and big pool opposite Treetown food court up a road very nice
I really like staying at the Sleep With Me Hotel in Pattaya, not expensive, less than 5 minute walk to Witherspoon's for breakfast, they have a restaurant on site, free Wifi and no extra cost to bring a guest to your room, in fact there is a sign on the door that says if anyone tells you that you must pay extra to report it to reception
Great central location, low season about 950thb & high season 1600thb. The breakfast is fine, coffee, bacon on request, and omelette station, all included in room rate. Modern rooms all good. Staff are great. You get what u pay 4.
Why would someone have to request bacon if it is a buffet and how are customers supposed to know it's available because there was no signage advertising anything other than the buffet breakfast?
I've stayed there twice already. Most recently, last week! The breakfast was fuel, good enough to start the day with. If you join the IHG group and build points, it's good to use to offset the price.
Just checking in Peter..🙂. It's been a while since I've commented. All's well on this end. I still catch your weekly stories so I can still say I've watched every video on your channel. Hope all is good with you. My son is redeployed to Okinawa at the moment. He's a SGT. in the U.S. Marines. Cheers Mate!
I regularly stay in HI Express worldwide where available for the reasons you expressed, like good room and location and parking (in Thailand). I've noticed the HI Thailand breakfasts can be hit or miss and it might depend on day of the week (maybe they do bacon but not every day, etc.). The HI Express chain in UK and North America always have good breakfasts - though they get a bit boring with the pancake and waffle machines. As for English sausages, hard to find even in 4-5 star hotels in Thailand (in my experience). I guess nowadays in Thai resorts we Westerners are increasingly the minority and so they need to have a big Asian selection too.
I stay here regularly. Is nice. Yeah it is an international chain but the budget brand. The breakfasts at Holiday Inn Beach Road are pretty decent with warm fresh eggs
I've stayed in this hotel several times and it's been fine. I would like to check out the five stars Quba Hotel but there are so few reviews of it. A sense of Cuba in Pattaya..
Stayed in this hotel last year in June it was reasonably priced around 1600 per night but since then every time I look it seems more expensive especially like you say around new year time. The connecting door is not great as I could hear everything from next door and his lady guest and he was trying to open the door no doubt very drunk. Staff were great but I think Travelodge is better value for the price thanks
Holiday inn express are ok ….I stayed at the holiday inn at the start of beach road couple of years ago and I thought it was a great hotel I did consider this one but the location put me off with the noise possibly being an issue…thanks for posting saves me the bother of looking it up sometime.👍
2000B seems reasonable decent modern rooms. Good location on the baht bus route or a short walk to the bars and restaurants. Personally I wouldn’t have breakfast as you have so much choice in Pattaya. Enjoyed the vlog 👍
I stay in Holiday Inn Siam in Bangkok for access to MBK centre, circa 4;000 baht for room overlooking football ground again lovely room but breakfast mostly Thai with no real bacon, I have started to stay at Hard Rock in Pattaya good breakfast and fantastic amenities again 4,000 baht if you book in advance, best breakfast in Bangkok I have had is Skyview Hotel Soi 24 again book in advance around 4,000 baht, I’m staying next month when I travel to Vietnam for my visa run.
Stayed there a few times - I couldn’t get along with the shower controls, apart from that I like the place. Breakfast is standard holiday in. Express set up - same everywhere
As I said in the upload I would definitely stay there again because the room was great but hopefully management will see this video or it will be pointed out to them and they might put sausages and bacon on the buffet
I stayed there years ago for one night and paid about 1200 Bt and agree with your assessment, particularly the breakfast, albeit I am not a big breakfast eater. I used the gym, not bad and better than the Hilton, but the pool is very small.
THB 2000 with breakfast is pretty fair. It is nice to have the cleanliness and consistency; sometimes when you book a smaller hotel / guesthouse there are issues with condition of the room.
Fair review, the standard looked very good, on par with Holiday in on Beach road. The Breakfast a bit underwhelming. Also the poolarea was small-since its no balcony, outdoor space is more important. So a perfect place to stay for a short visit?
You say @ 7m breakfast a bit disappointing .. yes bacon & sausages would be welcome … the lady with the plastic container obviously enjoyed it though .. 😅
I stayed there a few years back. It was right after they opened. I was one floor under the construction crew still working on the upper floors. Lots of hammering and banging. But was still, nice
I wouldn't stay in a western chain in Thailand I try and recreate my first ever holiday in Thailand ( around 2000 ) . I don't even book a hotel sometimes... The first time - my friend and his girlfriend were all over Asia. He picked me up from the airport and they were staying in the NANA HOTEL ... They checked out the same day and we moved into the ambassador across the road. Was a great hotel at the time . Another time I did pre-book but only booked a hostel = hotel miami just down the road. Its the travellers you meet more than the hotel. . In Bangkok I like to have a pool Last time I turned up in pattaya I didn't book - the minibus dropped me off by beach road. And I just walked into hotels asking the price . Ironically I was walking into clean and new hotels for about 800baht per night. But ended up in a what looked like a Thai family run hotel - it smelled of damp , cosmetically it was falling apart a little , very worn. I paid 700baht and had a fantastic night . I was only booking one night to then scroll through agoda . I like the spontaneous feeling of not booking my first night . And for some reason - it works out . On booking the shithole ( Street after LEKK hotel ) . I dumped my bag in the room and went straight to the beach . I came back with all sand on my feet . A girl in the hotel ( bar girl ) was talking a load of Thai in my direction about my feet . She took me out back and washed them for me . The she grabbed my hand and tried to lead me up to my room . She was a big girl and not normally a women I would choose . I declined her offer and walking to my room , I was laughing to myself = " I hope I don't get drunk and end up with her " I went out first night in pattaya- with bars and alcohol on my mind . I ended up back at the hotel bar with the women from the hotel. Surprisingly we got on really great ( really great) . She seemed to genuinely like me ( real attraction) and I loved it . Anyway- there was 4 of us in the bar drinking beers and shots of rum ( 2 bar girls , me and a younger British guy ) . We were smashed - I took her to a restaurant in the AM ...to show a bit of " class" and pandering . But she was wrecked from the all the booze . I got the food to takeaway and we went back to the hotel. I gave the food away to her and the other bar girl. I said I was going to bed . I had previously asked her to spend the night with me and Agreed the fee and paid the bar fine. For some reason now- she could speak English. And said to me " don't you fall asleep " ...I knew I was going to . I told her I would leave my hotel room door open .... I was awoken sometime later - she had burst through the door. And literally jumped on to of me on the bed . It was amazing SEX , I really really enjoyed it ....she loved it In summary- a western chain hotel doesn't give you these random encounters . The women in question wasn't a " looker" and her dress she had squeezed into with bulges . But she was fantastic- I don't think of her romantically but it was a fantastic night. One of my best in Thailand....just because of the build up , randomness and of course the women who was a lovely women
I am staying there now. I have stayed in better hotels in Pattaya for half the price. Can hear everything in the adjoining room as if you were in the same room. So many little lights on things that you can't get the room actually dark to sleep. Bed is ok, not rock hard but not really comfortable. Tatty old towels. TV channels constantly losing signal. Poor breakfast. Tiny pool with few places to lounge. It is just grossly overpriced. 2100 baht per night in high season.Unlikely to come back.
I'll survive. But being able to hear every word of people talking in normal conversational voices in the adjoining room as if they were in my room is just a deal killer for me. They are charging a price as if this place was something special and it's not. There are more comfortable Thai owned and run hotels here.
Yes i like the hotel and it’s staff. I agree with you on the breakfast. No bacon or real sausage. Hopefully, that is something they will address in the near future. Otherwise a very nice hotel.
@@ThailandBound Thank you but I do not think this is a seasonal issue as it is more than double---it appears a rip-off issue owing to where it was booked from. I will give agoda a shot !!

Oh I'm sorry I didn't know there were separate Towers I don't know
I think you're talking about the Holiday inn on Beach road. This is the Holiday inn express on Soi Buahkao. Big difference!
Missed the most important detail ! Is the WiFi any good in rooms ?
Wi-Fi is very good
It's a Holiday Inn I presumed people would know that the Wi-Fi would be good, as it was
looks great just a shame its on soi buhkao as the very loud bikes are a constant around 3 and 4am
The glazing must be good because I didn't hear anything
How was the noise factor?
My room was very quiet
groovy 60s music pete :)

Always book a Hotel where the breakfast is a add on purchase. And don't purchase it. Eat out.
