No I’ve been a career diesel mechanic for 4 years now I’ve seen crazy money spent on tools, I’m not hating on Chris either because he hasn’t been really into building up tools long but there isn’t many tools in this video and he has to spend money on so much other things for his lively hood but 13k in tools really doesn’t end up being much

Any real mechanic will tell you the tools don't make the mechanic. Now by no means do I mean you can get the job done with no tools but to have 3 sets of the exact same screwdrivers is tad ridiculous.

I bought a few of them when I started out a couple years ago as a full time technician, because I didn't have the money to buy anything more quality at the time. I figured I would need to replace them with better ones after the first couple paychecks, but 2 years later the ratchets are still working great for me. I love it when my coworkers talk shit on them because they think they have to spend $200+ to get a decent fine tooth ratchet. Lmfao. Of course not everything at Hazard Fraught is great, but they certainly do have good products.

All HF hand tools have a lifetime warranty. And I would agree for the most part that HF tools are mainly good if you don't use them often, but I have quite a few tools that I use every single day that are from HF, and they are holding up great! Many of their air tools are very good for the price as well, I love their die grinders. Used one to port the cast iron manifold flange on my Volvo and it did great!

I think 10-20 years ago it was worth buying Snap On and the like for a professional but these days for someone like Chris he’d be fine with the best stuff harbor freight has for most of his hand tools and boxes and he could have filled boxes full of OK tools. He fucks around most of the day, it’s not like he’s a technician working on flat rate trying to get an edge on everything with a 250 dollar ratchet.

I buy all my cordless Milwaukee Tools from Acme Tools. They have great deals, I just picked up the M18 1/2" High Torque Impact (1,400ft. lbs.) for $215 which included a 5.0ah battery ($129 value) for free. Same with the new M18 Dual Power Rocket Light for $199 with free 5.0ah battery.
I get mine locally from offerup, I got the same impact with a 9.0 battery and charger for 255, 2 m12 fuel ratchets with 3.0 batteries for 100 each and just yesterday a 3/8 stubby m12 for 100. All have their obvious 5 and 3 year warranties.
