- Andy Irons made an Impact on the Tour with 20 Victories and 3 World Titles but he was also an Icon to so many on how to drop in late ride the tube like no other and do powerful mind blowing turns as well.
He had the fire and attitude to Challenge King Kelly at any and everything which made surfing a lil more spicy at the time of their Rivalry.
A.I. was a living Legend and will always be remembered as one of the Greats like a Jordan in basketball,he had it all.

When he was on he was unbeatable, love andy when he was aggressive and Super pumped ,still can't believe he is gone,one of those surfers that the waves just come to ,the Kelly thing was always in,I'm so glad they sorted out shit before he left us...
yes, it’s still Sureal and i was Real Life friends with him, and he showed me the most respect of any of the Hawaiian’s and when i went back to Hawaii after he was gone it never felt the same, i mean besides him being around pushing me and gave me a nickname “CreegDude” , he was always looked for when the waves picked up , everyone wouod say where’s Andy surfing? where did he surf ? what size board was he riding?
and he always rode bigger boards in hawaii..that is another reason his surfing looks so unique and different from all other pros then and today even more wirh everyone riding 5’5 -5’8’s .. small
fishy type things with all just a lil difference in the tail or wide points , they are basicly the same , and i can’t imagine how Andy would be surfing today on the NEw modified equipment and blanks and DarkArt Technology and all the Rad Rippers, Sword Fish, CI G-Skate and the New Slater S-Boss, man, he would

Good News is that Jesus Christ lived a perfect, holy, sinless life, Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
He was buried and He was raised from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.’’ (John 3:16)
We aren’t saved based on our good deeds/works, but only by the grace of God through faith.
''For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -
not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Jesus said ‘’it is finished’’ (John 19:30) just before He died on the cross, which means He paid the fine for our sins
(past, present, future) to be forgiven if we repent and trust in Him.
''What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!'' (Romans 6:15)
''Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out'' (Acts 3:19)
Repentance is a turning away from sin and all evil works, and it always results in changed behavior (Luke 3:8).
Biblically, a person who repents does not continue willfully in sin.
While sorrow from sin is not equivalent to repentance, it is certainly an element of scriptural repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10).
Do not play a hypocrite. ''God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.
If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.'' (1 John 1:5-6)
If you have repented and have genuine faith in Jesus Christ then you will receive the gift of Holy Spirit and be born-again spiritually.
(John 3:3) Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again."
When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance
until the redemption of those who are God’s possession - to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14)
You are born again with the Spirit of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36)

If you have been truly born-again with the Holy Spirit and He has regenerated your heart, you will desire righteousness -

yea that was my thoughts why i said that live filming...this footage is still rad to me its timeless, and i just wish i filmed with my gopro i had just got that week of the event!!! BUT the batteries died back then so fast and took double A's!! plus Andy wasn't the type you could stick a secret camera on him he may say something controversial!

I love the timing when surfer makes the pipe comes out just as light show and pyrotechnics makes all that water explode out the tube like a the entrance of a rock band,pooooshhhh.so cool.That has too be and extra 1.5 points from the judges know u rode and time the wave just as it puts out the house fire as they were saying.nice.thanks for the post.

it was 2003 , way before Andy passed !
But yeah,
I was getting super tech into the effects back then now it seems maybe effects are good on an intro, but the footage is better left raw almost better with raw wave sounds even so everyone can pick their own music or listen to it like they’re there. I found that to be soothing myself.
Incredibly video man for real this man was a incredible surfer, is just terrifying how he flows in the water so explosive, I don't know nothing about surf but since I start to read about AI im gonna get stuck for a long time here. RIP AI legend 🌊.

but he has 5'5 19 1/4 movie and you saw that was when he was out of shape partying maybe alot but still crushed it!
but yea i would film and then see his board and it was 6'3 Patterson one time he made the tour on it after he dropped iff rthe year before and was thinking it was a 5'11 ! head high Vland in Hawaii...butt hats my thoughts, he coulod be having a continued radical style and onland who knows what he would be doing maybe an actor!!! lol

How did he die?
Andy Irons' death at 32 was caused by hardening of arteries. Triple world champion surfer Andy Irons died of a heart attack caused by the hardening of his coronary arteries, his family said in a press release Thursday. Irons, 32, died unexpectedly in November.
