Fun fact: If you restart the turn on the Jamboree Buddy spawn, it'll be a different Buddy every reload. That way, you never have to play the Donkey Kong minigame and you could get a different ally

idea for a custom rules game; You all start with an equal amount of stars on King Bowsers Keep (I was thinking 3, but can do more) players are not allowed to buy stars or buy the bowser byway levers. Stars can only be obtained by star steal traps, chance time, guessing the combination on the vault and can ONLY be stolen by Boo once the vault has been open. This would incentivize going to the vault instead of Boo until later in the game when/if it eventually gets opened and the lack of levers would call for more strategy with whether you want to buy items that could potentially get you out of the square like movement items, pipe or warp boxes, or would you risk it on star steal traps for a chance to get ahead but leaving it completely up to chance
One time, while playing this map the person I was playing with had a buddy and landed on the Bowser Space. Just like with Vern, Bowser gave them 10 coins... but then on the second round Bowser took away 20 coins from them! That was some next level trolling from Bowser XD
Eevee really took to heart the lessons he learned last time you guys played the board and stocked up on levers. Imagine playing in pro rules though xD. Also, Birdo returned together with the Vern Virus it seems.

Honestly, his minigame aside, I think DK's buddy powers is pretty powerful for movement, especially when you're in the middle of nowhere where the buddies usually are. At least from what I've seen, the random usually leads where there is something (boo or star etc). It's also optional, so that makes it much more convenient.
