Thanks Wayne. We were sweating it out for sure. Everything worked out fantastic and we are very fortunate to be able to be here. We're moving ahead on the Tampa dailies...so far, so good. I have another scheduled for Thursday. 😎
@melindaroberts4921 thank you. It's a lot of fun and we're very fortunate to be able to do this. We're glad you enjoy the videos and share in the experience with us. Come on along and let's discover what's next! 😃
Hi guys 😺🙋♀️🙋♂️.. We wanted to go to the show but they told us that we would not fit..(75') We said we had been before but they said not this time they have changed... Oh well maybe we'll make different arrangements for next year... Good friend of ours... Mark O'Brien... If you see him tell him Hi for us.... You too enjoy yourself and stay safe... Looking forward to more your videos... Thanks... J&A
Thanks J&A. We fit but I can see where they would not think you would. I made several phone calls and talked to several people here to get us to the spot we are in and the Fla Fairgrounds Staff was super helpful. Stay safe on the road. See you sometime in the future. Aloha 🤙😎
Hi J&A, hope you are doing well. There's actually another HDTer right next to us. We are parked in a non-designated area. We could have fit JUST the trailer in a designated spot but would have had to park the truck in the overflow area. The staff here is super great and went way out of their way to accommodate us. Hope to cross paths someday. 😊
Guys, I'm ROFLMAO, Dave I've been caught on the crapper talking to a gal just like you were and then she switched the calling camera on. I dumped the whole call immediately and then called back. Keep the good vids coming Gang.
Ed- I don't know what I would of done if she had done that maneuver on me! It was all I could do to keep from dumping the phone down the hole in my haste to "get it together"! It was either really good timing or really bad timing depending on how you look at it. Thanks for the comments and appreciate you watching the channel. 😎
Thanks, Carey. Tent camping is fun and super flexible but this is the ONLY WAY to fly (so to speak!). LOL. Appreciate your comment and watching the channel. Aloha 😎
Thanks for watching and the comment Carey. At least with tent camping we had a car to get us to the campsite. We used to backpack which meant hiking in to the campsite. 🥵 So yes, the rig is definitely an upgrade. 👍
Sorry I missed checking y’all in yesterday. I was one of the volunteers that registered the RVs. Enjoy, maybe will see you during the day. We in volunteer camping till Monday
I don't know if this would work for a camping show but now that you guys have some traction reach out to the press department of the show. They should be willing to hook you up with press passes since you're promoting their show. At least with the boat shows that gets us in early each day before the crowds.
That's a great thought. We'll try and get in touch with the appropriate people. Not sure if it will work since the show has started but it's definitely worth a shot. Thanks for the suggestion.
Yes! Thank you, Charlie. It was close! I couldn't believe that we were #22 on the waiting list on Monday and by Monday night we had the full week including Tuesday night! We were very fortunate and our site here is great! Thanks for watching. 😎🤙
Glad you were able to secure a spot. Looking forward to your views of the new Spacecraft. Saw an article online yesterday of the new Volta electric Toyhauler with a Volvo passenger vehicle sized garage. Must have been the frame I saw in October.
Thanks, Rod. we were very fortunate to get in. We saw Greg yesterday and will try to get to that trailer today. It looks cool with some neat features and a unique way to haul a normal sized car. Hope you're doing well and traveling safe. Thanks for watching.
Thank you very much for the comment. We appreciate you coming along with us in our journey. It's a beautiful area and we enjoy being at the show. Thanks again. 🤙😎
We are really enjoying your vids. Would like an info vid on the rigs and a vid on your story, what you did before retirement etc. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, Brian, really appreciate your comment and watching the channel. We're going to get an info video out on the rig in the near future. We weren't planning on doing one on us but we have had several people ask us about "our previous life", so we may rethink and put one out there...one of these days. 😎😊
It's a neat show and definitely a bucket list item since it is the Largest RV show. One day is not enough so try for at least two days. Thanks for the comment. 😎
LOL, Murray, we're not going to be at the Tampa show next year...but I'm not sure when you can reserve? You would have to check with the Florida State Fairgrounds but I think it's a little later in the year. Now that's planning ahead! 😎
Hey Kevin- Custom Trucks in Kansas City did the conversion. They did a great job. I should have had them install power to the new axle and not just a tag axle. We needed it because of the pin weight of 13K lbs.
This is one of those times when you wish the Air Con units could be converted to helicoptor propellers and just land gently in your parking spot, ( just a dream ! )
@Mrs Big Truck Big Travels thank you for responding to my comment and my year is not going so well , already had two people I know pass away and trying to get back into the mood of making content and enjoy life and make a lot of new friends and help people's channels grow alittle bit buy making new friends all over the world
Keep watching because in a few days you may just get your wish...plus we have our own take on some of these RV's. Hope you find it interesting, informative and inline with your interests. Thanks for the comments. 😁
New to channel new subscriber. Full time rv nomad Solo empty nester. 2019 Jayco Northpoint 385thws triple axle toy hauler. Full time since January 13, 2019
Do you have a list of places that your rig fits into without issues? We are looking at switching to a HDT, but I’m not seeing a collaborated map of HDT parks. I’m interested in seeing where all y’all go, or have been. Great videos!! Subscribed 😊
It's a log we keep of where we've stayed but there is no reliable database out there for HDT'S pulling RV's. There are so many variables that it would be hard to compile. We look at satellite view, site lengths and general layout of the campground. We start with the length of our trailer and go waaay up from there! Thanks for the comment.
The Tampa show is really, really big. You can see it in a day if you know the type of RV you're interested in and don't care to peruse the vendors or attend any seminars. But your feet are going to be barking at the end of the day! LOL. It's probably better to allow for 2 days because there is so much to see and do. I hope this helps. Thanks for the comment.
Well.... there are about 1,550 RVs that are crammed into 26 acres! 😮💨 we did 10,000 steps today and only covered about a 4th of the show today. 🥵 Saturday is the busiest day so come early! Thanks for the comment!
It's possible but it now takes a little bit of planning, David. If you enjoy RV'ing then it's definitely the show to try and make. Thanks for the comment.
Things have definitely changed and now requires planning. There are RV parks in the area but it's just nor as fun to drive and deal with the long lines to get in and out. Thanks for the comment David.
Kate, the "other moral of the story" is that change is good. This turned out to be a different RV show experience but actually overall it was a better one. I think other shows will follow suit in the future. Thanks for the comment. Glad you're along with us on the journey. 😎
Glad it worked out and you're in! It will be interesting what you'll be able to record and share with us. I've never been to an RV show of that magnitude. The biggest (for me lol.....one before my Class A purchase and one after purchase) I've attended would have to be the 1st in San Diego @ Qualcomm Stadium (now I believe there's a new stadium there called Snapdragon?) and the 2nd at the Richmond Speedway (VA). I've gone to some of my local yearly RV shows @ the Hampton Coliseum (VA) but that's mostly local dealers. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to seeing you guys @ Tampa!
It's a great show. Very big and can seem very intimidating due to it's size. But we enjoy attending and these videos will be fun to do. Glad you enjoy the journey with us and appreciate your comments and watching the channel.
Yes because of several reasons but the main one is that it's easier to visit the rest area facilities than to open up our rig to get to the bathroom. Also, rest areas are much easier to stop at given our size. Thanks for the comment, Scott. 🤙😁
@@bigtruckbigtravels I wasn't thinking you would stop any place other than a rest area. Is the problem of opening your rig because of the entrance steps or do you have to put some slides out to get to the bathroom? Or both? I know I'm not a fan of the newer style of steps that flip up into the door frame, I really miss the steps that just pulled out without opening the door.
@scottgreene7986 it's not a problem but just takes a little time. We pull out the steps and have to climb over the bed. If we're going to be boondocking then we like to conserve tanks as much as we can.
What a crazy 48 hours this was. On, off, on, off, and on again. But we are so grateful we finally got in!!! 🤩
For next year you need to register ahead under the "Media Registration" like the other TH-camrs do.
Yes, I think we will do that next time. However, we still like to show the "feel" of the Tampa Show during show days. Thanks for the suggestion.
I used to race in the Albuquerque balloon festival and placed 3 out of 800 plus balloons and 8 place another year
Wow! That is such a cool event. You were definitely a good pilot to have such a great showing. Congratulations! Thanks for the comments. 😎
I am glad the plans worked out. We are looking forward to the Tampa dailies.
Thanks Wayne. We were sweating it out for sure. Everything worked out fantastic and we are very fortunate to be able to be here. We're moving ahead on the Tampa dailies...so far, so good. I have another scheduled for Thursday. 😎
Thanks for the comment Wayne. It's a big commitment to do a daily update but David is 2 for 2 so far. #2 is scheduled for today. 😊
Glad you got in, hope to meet you while you are there!
Thanks and hope you enjoy the show. We're in there everyday so hopefully we'll meet up. Appreciate the comment and your time watching the channel. 😁🤙
@@bigtruckbigtravels we love your truck and your RV! And your adventures….

This is so inspiring you guys! I can’t stop watching your videos! Please keep the videos coming and SAFE travels ✌🏽😎

Awwww. That's really sweet of you to say! 🥰 we really appreciate your kind words!

You purchased Voyager new with a single rear axle. Who did your conversion on Voyager.
Hey Kevin- Custom Trucks in Kansas City did the conversion. They did a great job. I should have had them install power to the new axle and not just a tag axle. We needed it because of the pin weight of 13K lbs.
