- Dear viewers, let me present in today's episode the most beautiful corners of the mid-Atlantic part of Iceland. There will be no culinary aspect or stories in it this time (we will get to that in episode two). This time only nature not of this earth.

-We do not need a passport to cross the border, an ID card is sufficient.
The applicable currency to the Icelandic Krona (ISK) 1 ISK ~ 0,034 PLN.
It is advisable to rent a 4x4 car in Iceland due to the sometimes difficult road and weather conditions.
-Reynisfjara Beach
It is counted among the ten most beautiful beaches in the world. Due to its black sand and basalt rocks, it is certainly one of a kind. It is located between the Dyrhólaey peninsula and the town of Vík í Mýrdal.
-Valahnúkur
The characteristic landforms of Reykjanestá include eroded and partially underwater volcanoes. Their remnants are precisely the Valahnúkur cliffs. These are popular birding cliffs with nests of silverback gulls, northern fulmars, three-toed gulls and ravens.
-Geysir Geothermal Area
It is part of the golden circle attraction - the golden circle, which is located about an hour and a half from Reykjavik. Here are located the famous geysers and hot geothermal fields that are part of the Haukadalur Valley. The highlight of the area is the Strokkur geyser, which ejects a column of water 15-30 meters high every ~10 minutes.
-Gullfoss Waterfall
This is the most famous waterfall in Iceland or the Golden Waterfall. The waterfall is formed by the waters of the Hvíta River, which flows from the nearby Langjökull Glacier.
-Seljalandsfoss and Gljúfrabúi
Seljalandsfoss waterfall is one of the most visited and photographed waterfalls in Iceland. What is interesting is that you can get behind the water falling from a height of 60 meters. The route, is wet and slippery, but protected.
-Skógafoss
This is one of the largest waterfalls in Iceland. It is 69 m high and 30 m wide. It is located south of the volcano-glacier Eyjafjallajökull
-Öxarárfoss
It is a small waterfall located in Þingvellir park.
-Fjaðrárgljúfur
A canyon nearly 100 meters deep and over a kilometer long. The Fjaðrá River, which has its source at Geirlandshraun Mountain, flows through the center. It is one of the tributaries of the 115-kilometer-long Skaftá River.
-Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon
Jökulsárlón is Iceland's deepest lake (248 meters). The icebergs in Jökulsárlón consist of ice that is more than 1,000 years old. The lagoon began to form in 1934, when the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier began to retreat. The lagoon has quadrupled in size since the 1970s. The lagoon connects to the ocean and consists of seawater and freshwater, which gives it its unique color.
Fagradalsfjall volcano
The volcano erupted in March 2021, preceded by significant seismic activity. The previous eruption in this volcanic system occurred in the 12th century.
-Gigjagja
Hjorleifshofdi is a hill, with a large and interesting cave. Its distinctive feature is an entrance that resembles Yoda's head from Star Wars.
