    Beautiful watch!, great job!. I find when your taking apart auto part if you turn the stem slightly, it takes pressure off the parts and they don't fly. Well done sir!. Thanks. Adrian 🍀

    To find out if the dial is original or not there should be 2 numbers printed in ink on the back of the dial, blank ones are 99% of the time replacements. The numbers on the back of the dial should also relate to the serial number of the watch, Your serial number being 400011 means it was made in october 1974 (first number is the year, second is the month, 0 meaning the 10th month) so i would expect your dial to be slightly earlier than the serial number maybe 49 or 48 on the back, if it not even close to that then its more than likely a vintage replacement. Ive done too many of these i need to get out more lol

      Thanks for the information. It is really useful. I remember seeing some printed number under the dial but I cannot remember the number.

      @@FrenchWatchCollector Your welcome, when you come to service it again you know what to look for 👍 or maybe on your next Seiko seeing as the 6138 can go years without servicing lol. Very clean movement by the way, not many with no rust at all on the pushers mechanism as the pusher seals always fail over the years and water gets in.

    Great work. Could you please share what mainspring winder. Left or right did you use and what size ?

    • @FrenchWatchCollector
      @FrenchWatchCollector  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it is a red dot on top of the winder it is right and a blue dot is left. This is the codification from bergeon

    If you change the lift angle setting, your numbers will be more accurate. Seiko's are typically lower than 52.

    • @FrenchWatchCollector
      @FrenchWatchCollector  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it will be more accurate you are right. I look online and the reference I had was around 220 with a lift angle at 52. That is why I left it at 52
