You giving love, a swap in Vegas runs around 10 to 15 grand. Now that's shop prices, not knocking your skill set. But a back yard boogie swap, is at the least 4500. Now that's for everything, harness, base tune and so on. Don't short your self, I did my own. It's a lot of time and effort, and so people just have to respect that. If not they can go to TH-cam university, and figure it out like the rest of us. Love the vids...💯💯💯💯💯
If they ain't got the lil extra they don't want a ls swap simple as that don't cheat you're self bro I do mobile mechanic I'll tell a customer take it to a shop and let them bust them pockets and see where we get
I think you should charge $2,950 to 3,000 for the swap I’m thinking about doing swap here in Texas because it’s money everywhere plus I’m going to get a tire contract also Im hustler brother
I would keep the price at 2500 and that’s should be included in changing the oil and fluids I mean you do have to drain the fluid out the motor when you take it out a car then you only doing a basic swap you got to crawl before you walk build up your clientele then up the price
Seems like your blower motor not coming on. Did you check the fuse? The two hoses that come off the engine go into the firewall into the heater core which is just a baby radiator. After the thermostat opens up,you should have hot water going into and back out those two hoses, touch them to ensure the hot water is circulating. But back to that blower motor, check the fuse. If it’s good, then check for power getting up to the blower motor connector. You have power up to the motor, then pull the blower motor and replace.
If both yo heater hoses R hot,mo than likely yo heater core is bad. U could flush it with Draino. Block off one one da hoses, pour in da Draino, let it sit 4 bout 10 minutes, flush with yo garden hose, but not that much pressure. Then flush da other heater hose (back flushing) to make sure da heater is flowing likt its supposed to. Last but definitely not last.....Bruh! When U doing swaps, never ever ever ever spend yo money on a customers car. Tell them what they need & have them drop off that bread. All fluids R extra, putting fluids in is extra. When U bought yo 5.3's did they have oil in them? Hell to da nah! Get yo paper Bruh! Anything & everything U do to a customers car cost, they gotta pay! 😎
First see if the blower motor work by running positive and negative straight to the blower. If it run check your blower fuse and relay to see why it’s not getting fire. If it don’t come on you need a blower. The blower have a fan on it so if it come on and you get no air change the blower fan
Your heater eliminate is not heating up but your fan is blowing that's your problem it should be close by the fan blower it has a wire connection to it, need to unplug it and replace a new one you should have heat than
the type of man I am if you charge 2500 and whatever else you have to do I will pay you for that too because I would want you to treat my car like it yours
I mean if you using your own money to buy their fluid they charge them extra so you can get some of that money back that you spent on their fluid plus charge them for your labor and cost of your ls swap and stuff
Hey bro I'm going to be honest with you pump it up a little bit more cuz that's your time on the price if they don't understand at the end of the day your family got to eat Bill's got to be taken care of two and they take it to anybody else going to tell them they got a set price if they don't like it they could take that call to somebody else they're not going to change their price keeping it 100 with you bro 💯👍🏿👍🏿
I think the first thing is that you need to explain to your customer that the numbers you give them is an estimate and not a final price. Explain to them that there are extra items that they may need, oil, p/s fluid, trans fluid, coolant even washer fluid. You also should charge separately for the oil change service. You do need to be careful about writing stuff down. If you give someone a written bill they can use that in a Court of Law if something happens to the car. Some people are not understanding and could give a shit and destroy everything you have. Be very passing yourself off as a business and if you do incorporate make sure that you keep your business and home separate so they can't take everything you have. Welcome to working on cars. I enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work.
You need an itemized contract for people to sign. That way everyone understands what is being done and what is extra. People don't understand what is involved in a swap.
Set your price with all new fluids. What ever price you decide to go with. When I used to do radios and remote start systems. I set my price. My price included wiring with my own wires. I warranty my work. If I supplied the radio alarm systems or speakers. I gave warranty on parts and labor. Go that route. Trying having the customer buy the motor could be a problem if and when something may happen later on. Cover labor or cover parts and labor. Thats why 2500 sounds good but the reality is those are parts minus engine. If the engine is bad all those parts mean nothing
Your price is your price bro. If they dnt like it they can go elsewhere. I’ve paid 6k for a complete LS motor swap before so $2500 or $3500 hell I’ll ship my car to you! 😂
Was gud DOINK..I’ve been to shops & now swapping my own..I say 1250-2500 whatever u charge is for the swap! The oil change I feel that is included y is bc u have to put a certain amount of miles on the car to make sure it’s right then change oil before releasing to owner..yes we should pay for oil an coolant an trans fluid.make a contract of everything u doing to sign! 2nd contract for parts if u have to get parts! Just my opinion. U right u don’t want people feel u tryna get over, but everyone knows cars need parts so they bring them or send u the money an u give them receipts simple!!! Keep up the Grind
Yea and when u say extra .. the muffler shop I really don’t want to interfere with how they want there stuff to run but ur right. I can probably go up to 3 and that’s for extra
L Keeping it real with you bro. You are only doing the labor they're supposed to get their own miscellaneous parts. You can do the oil change, but why are you paying for the are oil and coolant? Make a part list of everything that is needed and let them know. These are all the things they're gonna need to complete the swap. You're a labor consist of putting all those parts together to make everything work properly. And I don't think you should have to pay for their exhaust. That's what they want
Bro look I'm just saying they are responsible for their part . If they want tow and shop that's extra you only doing the swap something they need done to the used motor extra or if y'all come to a agreement don't put your self out there like that you go be working for free time is money just saying bro great view
Man if you was to charge $1k to do a swap people are gonna feel like that's too much and try to get you to do more for less money.$3,500 is good if they don't want to pay tell them go elsewhere
Remember other guys out here with more experience doing the same thing for the same price or even lesser and you don't want someone coming back a month later talking about a rear main seal or valve cover gasket leak
But those are the things that happen when you go the cheap route you're gonna have those problems going to the junkyard getting a motor and trans and just dropping it in something is gonna go wrong save your money buy a new engine and trans or rebuild them drop it in and get on down the road
$600 come on dude get real maybe a LS swap isn't for you it's people paying 10 to 15k for a swap and you complaining about $3,500 you probably should just get a car note for that $600
@MarcusWoods-qx2cx so if I got a 04 Chevy Silverado a 08 Tahoe a Nissan Maxima and the motor go out or start tapping it's going to cost between 500 and 800 to get another motor dropped in
You giving love, a swap in Vegas runs around 10 to 15 grand. Now that's shop prices, not knocking your skill set. But a back yard boogie swap, is at the least 4500. Before you take that next level.
Invest into your tools. Maybe it maybe it enclosed Garage and another helper. 27 Honda could be a start on point.
I don't know much bout the box Chevys but I know the older gm where controlled by vacuum
Yu need to find 2 wires on blower motor ground n power
Changed blower motor
The oil an coolant is basically a part it's something you need for the car that should be added to the parts price don't do nun for free my boi

I think you should charge $2,950 to 3,000 for the swap I’m thinking about doing swap here in Texas because it’s money everywhere plus I’m going to get a tire contract also Im hustler brother
Let me know if you do. Having a time finding swap for reasonable prices in Dallas
Check your blower motor
Ok .. thank u
On the passenger side firewall it’s the heater hoses
There’s 2 ports on the firewall for the heater core, you gotta run the hoses to it
Can u show if possible. My Facebook is Doink Tillis
U can do 2500 for everything
Check blower motor
If I'm paying 3500 it's has to have all new gaskets and seals heater working especially if it's working in the old setup exhaust ran and tuned
You'd be the customer I'd tell to go elsewhere and try your luck if you can't pay $3,500 you broke 😂😂😂
@@MarcusWoods-qx2cx and I would because I got all that done for 3200 to my 79 Buick Regal 4.9
@@MarcusWoods-qx2cx3 old school's up

I didn’t . They say check blower motor and heat element too
Charge for your labor and parts separate

Is your blowee motor in the dashboard coming on

Check your blower motor it see if it getting fire
Bruh, tbh let the customers buy all the stuff they need first, then charge them labor
Is your hose plugged up to the heater core ?
It should be a heat element by your heater blower it should get hot unplug it and replace it
Ok I’ll check that too
Most likely heater core
it’s blower motor gang
Heater core try flushing it
2700 within the time frame that you are doing iti in.
I mean if you using your own money to buy their fluid they charge them extra so you can get some of that money back that you spent on their fluid plus charge them for your labor and cost of your ls swap and stuff
blower motor cost $20, plus plug up them two hoses from water pump to the firewall
Yes they are plugged. It could be blower motor tho. Ima check the fuses too for heater.. thank u

Is your heater core stopped up? Try back flushing it.

Yes
I’m not sure if it got power from the ac control module
Hook the blower up
Ima check again cus I don’t pay attention to the blower motor tho
plug your heater core hoses up
They are plugged up to water pump..
I think it should go up from $2500 to $3000 the other $500 to cover the extra.
Yea and when u say extra .. the muffler shop I really don’t want to interfere with how they want there stuff to run but ur right. I can probably go up to 3 and that’s for extra
