This is like watching the deck version of Inside Out
I love this! I have many decks like this, but the one that is most significant for me is my old tattered Bohemian Gothic. When I was little, my dad loved to show me all those old B horror movies like Frankenstein and the Mummy and Dracula. My Bohemian Gothic reminds me so much of those characters and I have a great fondness for them. I lost my dad in 2016, but when I’m really missing him, I pull out my BG and I talk to him. I know he’s nearby and watching over me. 😊

OMG I can't tell you how much I love the idea to connect Tarot decks to specific emotional states and/or feelings and use them to work with/through them. Going to steal that one from you for sure. And I don't know why I didn't think about that before since I love to categorize my decks and connecting them to different things and also struggle with dealing with my emotions. But for some reason to connect the dotts there just never happened.
Also totally agree on inner child work has at least 2 different sides to it if not more. Love to finally see someone mention that.
PS: the inner nerd in me loves your rambles and integration of video games into tarot practice. Please never get tired of mentioning those.

@@DawnMichelleTarot I can totally relate to that. Video games are one of my faves right next to crystals and Tarot. And that we now have the abbility to more and more combine all of those is just amazing. Still trying to figure out what my game related decks will be and you're really helpful for that by showing yours.

You may have already seen but there is an official World of Warcraft deck coming later this year, but it is by Insight Editions this time. Fingers crossed it is as good as the Diablo.

There is so much I want to say about this topic. I'll distill it to this, thank-you for discussing what is to me, is emotional health. That it is healthy and normal to feel. To simply feel what ever emotions are pouring through us humans.
One deck I use when I need to laugh, humor, often is how I work through many of my strong emotions. The Morgan's Tarot always makes me laugh. It in a weird way puts things in perspective for me. When I need to find balance, the Gill Tarot is what I reach for. The closest deck I have to a rage deck is the coolness of Tarot of the Abyss. It helps the "thinking" part of my brain process a path forward, past the rage to a possible healthy action to take. That is, if there is something in my power to do.
Totally! Feelings are natural and normal. Great deck choices, I could totally see how each would fit in those spaces. 🥰
I notice in the beautiful creatures tarot, that you have a card named "The Paranormal" ?! I don't have that card in my deck! Did you mixed oracle card in your tarot deck? Or maybe you have another edition? I was surprise! I love how our deck represents different aspects of us, in different times in our life. I never thought about that. We have different moods and flavor . We are not just one thing. Thank for sharing! Love your videos! :)
It came with the deck, I think it’s a bonus card. Might be something they added for the newest edition maybe?
This is so interesting I had to watch twice so I could take notes. I don't think I have a good identifier for moodiness. I especially don't have a tarot/oracle space place to let emotional moodiness sit and be. This is especially helpful Dawn Im going to work this out too

Personally I haven’t really linked certain decks to certain emotional states (yet)…. I am not into tarot for that long yet perhaps…. I just choose the deck on the moment. But still … very interesting to watch other decks 😊 just out of curiosity… how many decks do you have after so many years, and what do you do with those that don’t resonate with you after all?
I’m over 500 currently I think but I haven’t done a recent count in the last year or so. I put decks in storage that aren’t resonating with me at the moment and then those that just end up missing the mark I rehome. 🥰

I love this! I think it can be easy to think we should only use tarot when we feel one certain way (for some of us maybe we only read when we’re sad, for others we will only read when we are feeling ok), but it’s really helpful to remember that tarot can be a tool for us in all seasons and all emotional states. I love the rage deck idea especially as I find dealing with rage really difficult to let myself do.
I use my decks for all kinds of things, but it’s so fun to chat about the ones I’m emotionally attached to at the moment. 🥰
I'm pleasantly surprised to see the Notaria deck in here! To be honest, it is a great boyfriend deck. Especially when you read the guidebook (the kicktarter guidebook is amazing too).
It does make you ask the tough questions: Why are you really doing this? Is it for your greater good and or the one of your great work or are you just an asshole?. It does also a great job at supporting you, so it's not all sass.
And for anyone into the Qaballah, Ceremonial Magick and the more woo side of Tarot, it's a very powerful deck. Everything I pull it and meditate on the "big guidebook" entries, I see immediate results.
All in all, I can write dissertations on that deck. lol Sorry for the Ted Talk.
