I remember seeing so many of the 60s commercials and Barbie usually was shown with dark hair and her friend was blonde. Imagine a world where Barbie was a brunette only....😮😮
It's weird for me that Skipper has been brunette since 2011
@@cattheminion Skipper? I barely know 'er! xD sry, it had to be done. I'll see myself out.
Isn't midget the brunette one? Barbies friend
@@wioi The 1963 Midge dolls were released as brunette with a pink & red bathing suit, a blonde with a two-tone blue bathing suit, and a redhead with a chartreuse and orange swimsuit. So she definitely did exist as a brunette prior to 1988.
As a doll collector who has collected Barbie long before the world knew who Trixie Mattel was, this is a huge moment 🥰 { When your passions collide, lol }
Congrats, TM 💗💗
Trixie, we LIVE for your doll collection videos. Bring all the dollie content!
I have never seen Trixie look this crazy eyes over something. The passion was real and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Glad you got it Trixie!
These are my fave videos. Just nerding out over incredible history while making history. I'm so happy for Trixie to be able to live out her Mattel fantasies. It's a reality now, that must feel insane! ✌🏽🖤
The excitement is infectious.
I mean, she is sort of your namesake.
You should own this piece of history.
My mom has an original 1961 bubble cut Barbie with black hair and green ears 🖤 I love her so much. She doesn’t look like a young child’s play toy at all either, I would say mint condition outside of the ears. Because my mom was born in 69 and there’s a hand written $2.98 on the box I believe she was bought secondhand, which is pretty incredible!
I don’t collect dolls, however; I find your content around them fascinating. It would be interesting to see you with maybe another doll collector going over some key things to look for in authentic vintage dolls. That would be a cool mini series or something !
the way your hands were shaking show how excited you are, it's an amazing piece, congratulations!!
I’m not really passionate about Barbie dolls but seeing how excited and passionate you are about them made me feel super excited and nervous to see if it was the one you were looking for! I will most likely watch all your doll content now just because of your energy and how happy it makes me to see you achieve your collection goals! Great video, and loved the mini story time because I completely didn’t realize that toy stores weren’t always a thing lol
Giving me Antiques Roadshow Realness and I'm here for it!💗💗💗
getting read a children's barbie book by my favorite queen is just what I needed today
In all honesty this is probably the most gorgeous make up look I’ve ever seen you in. And that’s saying a lot because you’re always stunning.
Ok this makeup is absolute perfection. Please do a tutorial 😍😍
Ummm… excuse me Miss Tracy!! That is the most perfect Barbie No.1 I’ve ever seen!!!!! You are so lucky 😊😊😊😊
From collector to collector, congrats!!!!❤❤❤
This video is so pure! I love seeing you just geek out about something you love.
This is the kind of video that sets Trixie apart. She is not "just a drag queen," there is a person behind the character that gets excited about things and shares them with others
Congratulations Trixie! You have worked hard to be able to buy what you want. Love seeing this!
You need a Bild Lilli doll next the true original barbie doll. that’s a fascinating rabbit hole to fall into and kinda crazy how unintentional influential she became to the creation of what barbie is today
I was looking for this comment, especially since she wasnt mentioned in the book :)
I never thought I would get such Antiques Roadshow vibes from Trixie and I'm living for it
I'm absolutely serious when I say, this is the best you've ever looked!
It amazes me to see your face without makeup. So beautiful
I’m so happy for you!! I can’t imagine the excitement when you were able to connect with that collector and get this opportunity
Such a fun video! Your #1 looks so lovely, and thank you for the clear comparison shots between the #1 and #3! I've never seen either in person, and it's always neat seeing examples of them.
I hope you see this Trixie… I have no interest in dolls whatsoever but I do enjoy seeing passionate people talk about what they love and enjoy in life and for that reason I 100% would like more doll content from you. I watched this while in a not-so-great mindset and it helped change my perspectives a bit and put some joy back in my life, even if it was only by proxy seeing and almost feeling a part of yours. Thank you Trixie… thank you to the human being behind Trixie. It’s wonderful to see you living your life how you want to and being celebrated for it. I’m so pleased for you. Thank you for taking us along with you. Be safe and thank you again.
See someone talking about something they are passionate and extremely excited about is gold! Thank you for sharing that with us! ❤🎉
Make up looks soooo beautiful and soft
Trixie your mug is the most beautiful I've ever seen it!!!!! Beautiful!!!!
whenever Trixie uploads my day just gets better
As a doll/Barbie collector myself this was so so exciting to watch. I totally understand the emotion behind opening a #1 Barbie. Would love more doll content!
Omg the soft makeup todayyyyy!!!!! The most beautiful ive ever seen u!!!! Keep up this mug
I have no interest in dolls but seeing how excited Trixie is over them telling the history and showing her collection off. I really love watching these vids
I feel like this is the smallest eye makeup Tracy has ever done. She is all cheekbones in this video and I live for it.
Hearing the history about Barbie and Mattel is so interesting. I love listening to you talk about it, you sound so passionate!
I never knew there were prosthetic breasts invented because of Barbie, that's super cool. I always want to see more doll videos from you, you're the one who inspired me to restart my doll collection and not be embarrassed about it!
I remember Trixie saying that she sometimes dreams of dialing her makeup back a bit and i've always been curious to see what that would look like. Seems like she's finally trying it out and it looks great! Always fun to see her change up her look :)
I think this comparable to how I felt when I received my IT Trixie Doll, my Trixie funko pop as well as the feeling I get every time I add a new coin in my small numismatic collection. The joy in Trixie is palpable in this video. I am so happy for her!
i feel like her eye makeup is closer together and more round it's so gorgeous
