I remember a time l was spearfishing and missed a mullet point blank, not just one, a whole stationary school about thre feet away, l thought 'there goes my bragging rights ' and started reloading when l noticed something behind me, something large, a four metre bull shark was circling me then just left. I was so glad there was no blood in the water and never been happier to miss a fish. The shark was so muscular it was ripped and so large l totally respected it, definitely one of the most memorable dives to have experienced its immenseness, would have loved to surf it.

Open arms, reciprocated in the surfing arena for many years, Sonny Garcia is the first ever Hawaiian surfer, that we've met up close at Piha Beach ⛱ ( with my 👪 family) our daughters wondered, at how healthy he looked. Daniel Kereopa from Raglan has graced the shores of Hawaii amongst many other talented male and female NZ surfers. My brothers have tucked their boards away where we can glimpse at them now and again. Thank you for letting me watch. Merry Christmas and a safe New Year just around the corner.Cu Arohanui Ana
