Hi. Something is not working with Facemotion 3D with Blender. I bought subscription etc, and start to Live streaming of my Iphone 12 mini to Blender, Blender is live streaming correct from Iphone, but there is no way to record. Its Recording but its fakerecording and Blender "Now Baking" takes forever , what can be wrong? Thanks.
Does this not work in blender 2.9? I have blender 2.9. Did everything in this video. Keep getting a message on pc app "ios not connected. Restart app on iPhone". Everytime. Now it wont even connect at all. Disappointing

That worked but since its not arkit with 52 shapekeys i cant just easily target animate my rigged model. Im very new to animation & looking for easy way to capture motion & transfer it to a arkit rigged model. I used faceit & reverig.
@@Dusty_Iron If it just doesn't work in your environment, you can use the faceit add-on to load the text file output from live link face. On the q&a page, I wrote about how to send the "ping" command. Did you get any response when you sent the ping command? Is your iPhone Wi-Fi turned on?
Hi , if i want add my avatar character and i have only three shape keys one for head one for eyes to blink and one for jaw to open and close how can I use these three shape keys with your app
In iFacialMocap, the ShapeKeys for blinking are named eyeBlinkLeft and eyeBlinkRight. The opening and closing of the jaw is named jawOpen. The iFacialMocap desktop application has the ability to rename the ShapeKey that is used. Please change their values to match the names of the ShapeKeys your avatar has.
Hi, It looks great, but I want to konw, when you baked the recording to the animation file in Unity, could I edit the animation file, like refining the animation untill I'm happy with it, Thank you!

The Mac does not work, I tested the 1.3 and 1.2 versions. Use the Ctrl key to open the file, it will jump out of the right-click menu and press to open, and it cannot control the model in BLENDER
I've tested version 1.13 on a Mac and it's working fine. Does that mean you can't open the desktop app? Or does it mean that when you open the desktop app, it doesn't communicate properly with Blender? To open the desktop app on your Mac, you need to press the "Open" button twice. I haven't seen it behave on the M1 Mac, so maybe you're having problems if you're using it. Tell me a little more about your situation.

I use Faceit in blender 2.9 to create the shape keys and bought Facemotion3D app (Faceit said it support this app but without any instructions. Facemotion3D said it will work onlyif the character follow the shape key rules.),but it doesn't work.I'm not sure what's wrong with it~
In the facemotion3D iOS app, go to Settings -> Streaming Settings and open the blender tab. In the "face object group name" field, enter the name of your character's mesh. It may work if you do that.
Hi,i think im missing something here,the app connects to the pc application and i have the green bar showing telling me that data is being transferred,but nothing is moving in blender,i also tried this with 3ds max it and im facing the same issue.
Hi, Sorry for the late reply. If the blue bar responds but you cannot communicate, often the problem is that the communication is blocked by the Windows firewall. So, sometimes my app just doesnt connect even after updating the app and my pc (also pc software) i also updated the IP addresses on Ifacialmocap as well as the software on my PC (vmagicmirror & Luppet) what is going on ??? how can i fix it ?
Hi, I think the app works great! Congratulations! The 52 shape keys are working, however, I am not having any luck with the three bones. I added them to a rigify rig for a whole human, not just the face. I've named the three target bones the same, but my head does not move. Any suggestions?
Currently, the bone settings in this app do not work for Blender's Rig, only for the armature bones. Therefore, it is recommended to create bones in the same position as the rig and animate to the bones. Then you need to constrain from the bone to the rig. I would like to update this so that I can animate directly on the Rig someday.

When I saw this comment, I didn't understand about rigfy at first, but perhaps iFacialMocap can move the rigfy rig. After pressing "Open Advanced Settings" in the iFacialMocap desktop app, try entering "rig" in the "Armature" field. It might work. Please give it a try.@@ProstoBella

I'm having a small issue where ifacialmocap is transmitting that my jaw is partially open which is affecting the jaw/mouth on my avatar. Is there a fix or a workaround for the issue to make the mouth fully close.

If it's possible, I might be able to offer a solution if you send me a video attachment to my home page email address and let me know what's going on. If you want the calibration feature of BlendShape, iFacialMocap does not have that feature. Due to some compatibility issues, I could not put it on. However, the application "Facemotion3d" does have such a function.
i get all the way to the point where the iPhone says its connected to the PC and the Application says its connected to the iPhone. But Blender doesn't seem to be animating the TestObj at all. when ever its Waiting for a connection the Viewport will Slow down. Almost like its Connected. but the model never Animates. i have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
i figured it out, apparently i had to disable my firewall entirely. (i had created Port Exceptions already. but apparently that wasn't enough) so to anyone else having this issue. Try disabling the Firewall for abit. that's clearly not a safe way to solve this issue. but it works in a pinch. i assume the Dev can provide more insight on how to actually allow the app through the port. (my firewall is By AVG)
@@PEKOCHANNEL yeah, i allowed an exception in both my AntiVirus and the Built in firewall in windows for the ports listed in that Document. 50002, 50001 and 50003 i believe it didn't fix it. only thing that does fix it is disabling the firewall altogether.
@@1ard103 The iFacialMocap desktop app uses port 49983 on Windows/Mac to communicate with the iOS app. If port 49983 is being used by other software, it will not be able to communicate. To find out what software is using port 49983, close the iFacialMocap desktop app once. Then, after that, open the Windows command prompt. At the command prompt, type "netstat -ano" and note down the PID number of the software that is using port 49983. Based on the PID number, identify the name of the software that is using the port and kill it. You need to model it yourself, referring to the shape key of the sample avatar. You can also use the Faceit add-on.
So Rich guys can do this, why not for android, we dnt have iPhone
it's really cheap app, but u need to buy an iphone first, lol
