Vanni Hope | Emergency Relief for Fire-Affected Families - Yatiyantota

On 04/07/2024, Vanni Hope provided essential aid to five families devastated by a fire in the Panawatta 2nd Division, Yatiyantota, Kegalle District. The fire, which occurred in the early hours, completely destroyed five homes and tragically claimed two lives, leaving 18 people homeless and in urgent need of assistance.
In response to this disaster, Vanni Hope, through its Emergency Relief Program, delivered dry food packs, school supplies, and uniforms to the affected families. These supplies are crucial for the schoolchildren who lost all their educational materials in the fire. The displaced families are currently staying temporarily at the Panawatta Tamil Vidyalaya.
