It's because Venti's true form isn't even a human. And what venti looks like now is actually his friends deceased body.

Just a not so friendly reminder: Venti's friend never got to see what he fought for. He never got to see the birds soar, he never got to see what life was like outside the barrier. :(

Let me clear 2 things for people who are confused lol
1 - Diluc was NOT alive nor existed during the time the tyrant ruled old Mondstadt (Stormterror's lair), It's probably one of his ancestors.
2 - The little "abyss mage" was Venti. That was his original form, he was originally just a little anemo orb.

Well, i guess the fall of the old... (godammit, i forgot the city's name, i will fix later) happened 26 centuries ago (2600 years) while the destruction of the Lumine/Aether's world happens 500 years old i guess, so mage abyss was not a thing until in the present (in game's lore), sorry for my long text, my bad english, and most mistakes in the game's lore...

Most likely he is and also maybe Venti did more then just took on the appearance of his friend, maybe "Venti" was actually the name of his friend although I am not sure if that is been confirmed
@@oddityurie3435 Most likely his "friend" is basically Venti; I think so too. Barbatos was part of that war and was appointed as God after the takeover but used "Venti's" body to gain human form (Maybe he retain that name because it is the original body's name). He did say he was just an Anemo Spirit.

Ohoho, that's so interesting.. Like Diluc. He's more special than I expected. The ancestor I saw in the cutscene.. makes me think about a lot of things. Also I feel bad for Venti's friend too. And now that I think ab Venti, he was just a elemental orb omg, I can't blame him on what's gonna happen in the future. He was such a cutie not knowing much. I love how much he evolved. I hope we'll hear more of the storyline animated like.
For what we've seen in the game so far Monstandt is really an important place based on the lore and many SUS characters ( Venti, Kaeya, Albedo,etc..) and yeah I think Diluc is really a special character considering his lore and backstory.
I really wish we can get a glimpse of the Archon War or the Cataclysm more cause I'm soo invested for the lore in this game.

@@bowlwasprobablytaken7149 He isn't one of the 4 winds, he appointed beings to guard Mondstat 2 confirmed ones are Dvalin (Dragon of the East) and Andrius (Wolf of the North Win). It is still missing the other 2 or I don't know them~

Not quite. During the Archon War the seat of the Anemo Archon was vacant, and the only one strong enough to claim it was Decarabian god of storms, who was killed by a tiny wind sprite (Barbatos) and his bard friend who revolted against Decarabian's prison city. In the battle, the human bard died. Andrius, the wolf god of the northern bitter cold winds knew he wasn't right for the role of Archon and passed his power into the land of Monstadt instead. This lack of candidates vying for the seat among the Seven meant that Barbatos was the only one who "won" the battle for the title. He took on the appearance of his dead friend in order to honor him and became one of the Seven. In this form he is called Venti (meaning wind). He appointed lesser deities as protectors of the land, calling them the Four Winds, which includes Andrius, Dvalin, and later on Venessa I think.

this is the only time in a whooole game when I wanted Paimon to shush it, idk, that seemed so personal yet Venti and Paimon don't really get along so well. I'm glad traveler sends her away after venti tells his story but it still felt weird when she was there. "oh paimon remembers, it's called the storm terror's lair now! :) " pleeeaaaase it's like the game telling you "here's a little recap of what you've learned if you did not care to listen before :) " ,

I checked how Amos bow looks like since I don't have that and it seems like it is the Amos bow.

Vanessa was the Head of the Knights of Favonious before Jean. I doubt shes in the era when Venti became Archon.

(I was right, Vennessa wasn't during this revolt but did head another revolt against the aristocrats in her era and became the first head of Monstadt.

people misunderstood Decarabian, he only had the barrier around old mondstadt because he was at conflict with andrius, andrius was threatening old mondstadt with snow so decarabian formed the barrier to protect the citizens, however people misunderstood this action as one of a tyrant's thus the rebellion formed and respecting his people's wish to be free, allowed the rebellion to kill him
