Loved episode 7. Another great job done by Michael Schilling. I was completely blow away with the filming/production. Much better than many independent films that get a real budget.

You know I think you are the first person to ever offer being a patron and I think that’s just amazing of you. 👍🧟♂️ I am writing and prepping to film more in the very near future. I did have a Patreon site, but it didn’t really go anywhere. However I did find some cool merchandise stuff I could create from Shutterfly. Since this is 100% funded by my wife and I, it would be nice to have some help so I can hire extra makeup artists and even secure better film locations. As they say, nothing for free. Be on the lookout and I may have some more info out soon on my channel. Out of curiosity, which episode did you enjoy the most? There are two groups and I try to swap back and forth between their stories.

what is your secret for getting bigger location like the one at the end? Gurilla tactics or what? With you being in the St. louis area I would love to help I am in NC but would fly out in a heartbeat. I have people there that would love to help as well. I have a military background (USMC) Infantry 16 years. Anyway I watched every episode and I see great growth throughout the entire production. I know its been 4 years but damn it I want to know whats next 😂
@@RetroverseMedia Haha! Nice. Glad you’re up to date! To answer your question, yes it’s pretty much guerilla tactics. See a property, go up and ring the doorbell and try to convince them I’m not crazy and want to film on their property. Paid around $300 for 4-5 days of filming in episode 7. But was well worth it. The plan is to start filming again later this fall. I do need to round up some more local”ish” locations. Also there are some Facebook acting groups that are helpful for finding extras and possible locations. I’ll definitely keep your offer in mind. One of my downfalls is taking on all the pre production tasks myself. Which even for a no budget series/projects like mine can still be overwhelming at times. The story will continue though. Gotta get the scheduling going and see what we can work out.

Believe this is my third, or fourth time to watch this set of 12. That says something about the quality of your work. Many have put videos out that are clearly their first try and not sure of what your skill level is here but I see positive promise in this type of work. Thank you.

One big problem with these zombie flicks is they NEVER search for food. It’s all about zombie killing........but no emphasis on getting food! First thought I had on finding farmhouse was : GREAT -FOOD! Nope, these guys fight and survive on NO FOOD OR WATER! Nobody ever opens a kitchen cabinet!
That's a good point. I actually did the food raiding in another earlier episode and didn't want to replay on certain themes too much. But agreed a lot of focus is on zombie killing interaction. My thoughts when writing were that they needed to focus on the main problem... Shannon being injured. Getting her somewhere safe to rest up was priority #1. But again, showing them looking for more food & or eating could def be added. Something I'll remember in next episodes. Thanks for the feedback

Continuity, Continuity, Continuity!!! Boyz!! come on! How many disappearing vehicles in the driveway? Or did Mr. Majestic Zombie take two of 'em with him when he left? There was the Dodge truck, then a Ford Escape, then another car I can't identify. When they backed the Denali out, there was nothing there behind the Dodge. GLARING errors.
Unfortunately I didn't have a staff of people to help with all of these minor details. Although some of the cast try to help, I'm pretty much a 1 man run N gun show. I filmed this over 4 different days and had different cast members on set each time. Gets chaotic & just can't spare the time on what I believe were insignificant details. I know... Devil's in the details, but I can only do so much. At least I know some of you were watching closely, so I guess that's good.

Being a zombie movie fanatic.... seen most and even watch the ones in foreign languages without subtitles....that's how much of a zombie fan I am. Have watched 1-7 ep. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Can see where you can have all kinds of twisty turns as your series moves along. Was just wondering though if you could add a little ketchup to the axe after it chops off a zombies head...unless, of course it's a self cleaning axe. So far has had me on the edge of my seat. Series, a solid 7.5-8 outta 10. Looking forward to seeing the next episodes.

For episode 7, we spent 4 days on the farm site with a lot of the cast and volunteer crew. Then I spent another few hours shooting B footage by myself. This was one of the longest filming sets to date. It was a blast. 👍🧟♂️
loving your series. so professional. the zombie make up is awesome. the ONLY critism i have... is why is there ALWAYS a stupid female who hurts her foot/leg that holds everyone else up, in a lot of movies. cant wait for No.8... especially after watching the bit more movie after the credits...
Thanks @pommydiva1 !! Appreciate you enthusiasm. And good point, I did put in the injured female cliche. But that was necessary for the story. Shannon being left with the wife and kids, the stalker finding them... This is very exciting! I got this on my recommended and zombie films I could never really get into, but I decided to check this one out anyways and it’s amazing! I’m very interested in the “immune” dude. I tried looking to see if he did something different from everyone else or if there was some reason why he would be immune but I couldn’t find any reasons which is cool! Why is he immune, or if he’s not immune, why is he taking longer to change than everyone else? I will definitely be following this show!

Not trying to rag on this effort but, have they not heard of never put all your eggs in one basket! Why load everyone in one vehicle when you had a pickup truck with a half camper top on it. Split the group in two so you have backup if one vehicle breaks down or gets a flat or one gets rammed. I know the writer and director can't think of everything, so maybe hire a person who can point this stuff out hell I'll do it for free just to get a realistic Zombie movie! I know it's hard not to have one or two characters who do dumb shit and put others at risk, but please can we for once have folks that are on point when it comes to surviving the zombie hoards.
Your points are valid. Unfortunately my budget (which is like nothing) and access to actors is very limited. I continue to learn and pay close attention to the details. I’m going to need a lot more money if I’m gonna make this series more refined. For now, we do what we can. Thanks for coming out to watch & constructive criticism. 👍

There’s a chance to they could’ve lived if they just gave up a car and let them go. Probably not the stalker would’ve eaten the people in the house but ya never know. Besides, what neighbors?
Exactly! Who’d of thought that character Day actually had the right idea and they should just take the car and leave… He appeared to be the coward and overly freaked out, but like you stated… if they just would have left, the Stalker most likely would have passed over the farm family and kept following Dustin and crew. Choices… 😩
One thing that's always stumped me in zombie apocalypse movies are how well the grass is always cut when in reality no one in ANY MIND would run a lawn mower during an apocalypse! Lol. What things do y'all catch?

GR1M-R3AP3R Thanks GR1M! I do need to try and do more practical kills. I’m not a huge fan of cgi, but saves time sometimes when filming. But it’s something we can work towards in the next episode. I know realistically it takes a tremendous amount of strength and force to severe a head off. Really the weapon should just get stuck in their head. Appreciate the thoughts

I just found out about this series and watched the whole thing from the beginning. At first I thought a couple things didn't make sense with some decisions people made, but when under stress you really don't know what you might do. That said I really enjoy this series and think it has only gotten better with each episode. Great job, keep at it, can't wait to see more. It is sad to think it may be a while before we do see more when you look at the airing dates difference of each episode, but it'll be worth the wait.

Since I’m almost like a 1 man show (although I do have family and friends that help), it does take awhile to produce these, but rest assured the story is going to continue. I did have a Patreon site, but it didn’t really go anywhere. However I did find some cool merchandise stuff I could create from Shutterfly. Since this is 100% funded by my wife and I, it would be nice to have some help so I can hire extra makeup artists and even secure better film locations. As they say, nothing for free. what is your secret for getting bigger location like the one at the end? Gurilla tactics or what? With you being in the St. louis area I would love to help I am in NC but would fly out in a heartbeat. I have people there that would love to help as well. I have a military background (USMC) Infantry 16 years. Anyway I watched every episode and I see great growth throughout the entire production. I know its been 4 years but damn it I want to know whats next 😂
@@RetroverseMedia Haha! Nice. Glad you’re up to date! To answer your question, yes it’s pretty much guerilla tactics. See a property, go up and ring the doorbell and try to convince them I’m not crazy and want to film on their property. Paid around $300 for 4-5 days of filming in episode 7. But was well worth it. The plan is to start filming again later this fall. I do need to round up some more local”ish” locations. Also there are some Facebook acting groups that are helpful for finding extras and possible locations. I’ll definitely keep your offer in mind. One of my downfalls is taking on all the pre production tasks myself. Which even for a no budget series/projects like mine can still be overwhelming at times. The story will continue though. Gotta get the scheduling going and see what we can work out.

One big problem with these zombie flicks is they NEVER search for food. It’s all about zombie killing........but no emphasis on getting food! First thought I had on finding farmhouse was : GREAT -FOOD! Nope, these guys fight and survive on NO FOOD OR WATER! Nobody ever opens a kitchen cabinet!
That's a good point. I actually did the food raiding in another earlier episode and didn't want to replay on certain themes too much. But agreed a lot of focus is on zombie killing interaction. My thoughts when writing were that they needed to focus on the main problem... Shannon being injured. Getting her somewhere safe to rest up was priority #1. But again, showing them looking for more food & or eating could def be added. Something I'll remember in next episodes. Thanks for the feedback

There was the Dodge truck, then a Ford Escape, then another car I can't identify.
When they backed the Denali out, there was nothing there behind the Dodge.
GLARING errors.
Unfortunately I didn't have a staff of people to help with all of these minor details. Although some of the cast try to help, I'm pretty much a 1 man run N gun show. I filmed this over 4 different days and had different cast members on set each time. Gets chaotic & just can't spare the time on what I believe were insignificant details. I know... Devil's in the details, but I can only do so much. At least I know some of you were watching closely, so I guess that's good.
Gotta say I love the zombie make up. Really disturbing to look at.

Being a zombie movie fanatic.... seen most and even watch the ones in foreign languages without subtitles....that's how much of a zombie fan I am. Have watched 1-7 ep. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Can see where you can have all kinds of twisty turns as your series moves along. Was just wondering though if you could add a little ketchup to the axe after it chops off a zombies head...unless, of course it's a self cleaning axe. So far has had me on the edge of my seat.

How long does an episode take to film? In shooting days I mean!
For episode 7, we spent 4 days on the farm site with a lot of the cast and volunteer crew. Then I spent another few hours shooting B footage by myself. This was one of the longest filming sets to date. It was a blast. 👍🧟♂️
loving your series. so professional. the zombie make up is awesome. the ONLY critism i have... is why is there ALWAYS a stupid female who hurts her foot/leg that holds everyone else up, in a lot of movies. cant wait for No.8... especially after watching the bit more movie after the credits...

Shannon being left with the wife and kids, the stalker finding them... This is very exciting! I got this on my recommended and zombie films I could never really get into, but I decided to check this one out anyways and it’s amazing! I’m very interested in the “immune” dude. I tried looking to see if he did something different from everyone else or if there was some reason why he would be immune but I couldn’t find any reasons which is cool! Why is he immune, or if he’s not immune, why is he taking longer to change than everyone else? I will definitely be following this show!

Not trying to rag on this effort but, have they not heard of never put all your eggs in one basket! Why load everyone in one vehicle when you had a pickup truck with a half camper top on it. Split the group in two so you have backup if one vehicle breaks down or gets a flat or one gets rammed. I know the writer and director can't think of everything, so maybe hire a person who can point this stuff out hell I'll do it for free just to get a realistic Zombie movie! I know it's hard not to have one or two characters who do dumb shit and put others at risk, but please can we for once have folks that are on point when it comes to surviving the zombie hoards.
Your points are valid. Unfortunately my budget (which is like nothing) and access to actors is very limited. I continue to learn and pay close attention to the details. I’m going to need a lot more money if I’m gonna make this series more refined. For now, we do what we can. Thanks for coming out to watch & constructive criticism. 👍

I know realistically it takes a tremendous amount of strength and force to severe a head off. Really the weapon should just get stuck in their head. Appreciate the thoughts

I just found out about this series and watched the whole thing from the beginning. At first I thought a couple things didn't make sense with some decisions people made, but when under stress you really don't know what you might do. That said I really enjoy this series and think it has only gotten better with each episode. Great job, keep at it, can't wait to see more. It is sad to think it may be a while before we do see more when you look at the airing dates difference of each episode, but it'll be worth the wait.
Thanks Bruce! I’ve definitely learned a lot since the 1st episode. I’ve been tempted to redo episode 1, just b/c I know I could tighten up the story and visuals, but I’ll probably just focus on future episodes and I have some other ideas for shorts. Yea COVID is a pain. Hopefully I can grab my peeps back together to film again soon. Thanks for the positive encouragement! Hope you come back out to visit us. 👍😁

Thanks Adrian! I’ll do my best. Since I’m almost like a 1 man show (although I do have family and friends that help), it does take awhile to produce these, but rest assured the story is going to continue. So make sure to subscribe and come back and visit us. True we do focus on a lot of melee, we may introduce some guns in the future. But not too many😉
