To be fair, depending on the style of taekwondo, both of those are considered proper kicks. The first kick is considered a butterfly kick (kicking with the in side of the foot) and the second kick is called a butterfly roundhouse, or a tornado kick. The tornado and butterfly round focus more on a twist in the hips as well as a kick with either the blade of the foot or the top of the foot (instep). Love the videos man, keep up the good work.
@@elekibattery8759 First kick was like a 360 Inward Crescent Kick (inside). 360 Hook Kick, 360 Roundhouse Kick, 360 Axe Kick... etc. You can create your own moves.
@@JMRVRGS came here to say basically the same thing. Two different kicks, crescent kick can be turned into an axe kick to come up and over the hands on guard.
The first one is actually a Tornado crescent kick it's more of a Tang Soo Do/American Kenpo Karate technique. Tang Soo Do is especially known for a lot of Crescent kick variations. Jump spin Crescent kick and the Tornado Crescent kick especially.
Not if you turn your body into the strike and commit fully. This goes for any powerful blow, simple or not. That's how trained fighters are able to punch and kick through things like cinderblocks. It's the force and just letting it fly through your opponent, pushing them with the force rather than just stopping on impact. Of course that's easier said than done and comes with strength, flexibility and most importantly technique.
Practicing a different kick 10,000 times because of the Bruce Lee quote and this has helped me massively my knee placement was all wrong definitely earned my subscription
I would say it depends on the style and type of kick you are doing. as in Kung fu/wushu the tornado is alot of times an inside crescent but I do love doing them as round house kicks too.
I wouldn't say either kick is correct or incorrect it's just about what the purpose of the kick is. If it's to hopefully knockout, damage, or create space either works. BUT the first method is a good way to get yourself injured if you let your body continue to rotate despite the kick ending forward.
Holy that was me for like 3 years and I couldn't get past it then I fycked up my knee lost all muscle memory and 3 months later I could finally do it right, where was this video then

What style of taekwondo is that? In my dojang i was taught to do the second one, and never saw anyone do the butterfly kick.

@@JMRVRGS the first one was poorly executed, looked wrong, and there’s no hip rotation (which hip rotation is in ALL TKD kicks)

PHENOMENAL tip man! I remember learning that, but its definitely something you can just forget to be thinking about really easily, thanks!
My master taught me this. Just goes to show he’s a good master.
Bro that is exactly what I was doing wrong... I've been working on this kick all day
Not try in your room 💀😂
I'm trying to make taekwondo kick combos. But I get dizzy, how can I avoid that? (New Subscriber) Keep up the good work man!
No way not to get dizzy 😅
Now i could win against my older brother in a fight
May be you should not use this 😅
It’s crazy cause in competition lowkey the wrong way usually is how most competitors will use that move
Yeah, my knee was the reason i couldnt do it. thanks man! now its a breeze
Very useful and healthier for my damaged knee. Thanks!
"Aim the leg toward the target". AIMS AT US💀..... Impressive tho
Like what Johnny Lawrence said, it is one of the most badass kicks there is.
@DuTz I mean Sam got it right in the tournament, so it works.
@@JikumuntoYT Bruh you cant really use a movie scene to show what works and what doesn’t…
This was the first move I learned when I started doing Taekwondo
Awesome!
thanks you are best man 😎😎😎
Gooooood,🤗🤗
Thx you I struggle with this alot
this movement is similar to the volley in soccer

once you get perfect, it becomes difficult to make mistakes
When i was younger these were so easy. Now im here looking at tutorials trying to fix my crap version.
Thanks man I can to a full Naruto kick.(because it stops midway after hitting the target)

fun fact, in karate its called the tornado kick, in taekwondo, its called the butterfly kick
It's turning 45, not butterfly
This kick has to be one of the hardest for me so far, thanks for this I'll keep thta in mind
Thanks really wanted to Know that kick for such long time, but now I can do it without struggling. God bless you
Can you do a video to show how to fight like seraph from black ops 4 seraph trailer where she beats all those guys
Thank you so much I improved the kick
Next make 560⁰ kick correction 🙏🙏🙏🙏
540?
@@MoveWithWoo yes. I was wrong😅
Watching your vidios has really helped me in my out and because of some of your tips in now the 3 time under 18 taekwondo champion of Britain
The "wrong" one has like the axe kick on the end of it
Practicing a different kick 10,000 times because of the Bruce Lee quote and this has helped me massively my knee placement was all wrong definitely earned my subscription

Favorite kick. Practiced it over 10,000 times. So beautiful to see. Even better to land one in sparing
good job..i'm begginner muay thai

Yes this is what I teach my students
you are my master 👍
I did not know that i have to rotate my hips i was just doing a roundhouse kick all day so thanks
Sos un capo
клёво, наглядно объяснил
He's so good that even when he's going to show you the wrong way to do it, it looks like it's right 😁
In a street fight it'll not work
And our opponents say "It's the biggest piece od gog's shit"
Don't forget to chamber the kick after you kick 🥋

Yes I always mess up my form when I do my super mega cool action movie tornado kicks 🗿
thanks, my grandma wont stand a chance with this new knowledge
😀😀😀👏👏👏👏👏👍
It's beautifully
Bro I just get dizzy asf 😅😅
how long dose it take to learn that kick?
I might just had learned the advanced kicks just by practicing at home😅
But that height of kicks 😳 still need to work on that
Yo Trevor can you try a Taehun 1080 degree kick?
1st technique for movie I believe
Thanks 💖💖
I was trying the kick without the spin and I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to turn my hips.
I can try this
Like she "they" say its all in the hips 😆🤣
Do johnny cages triple kick(cant remember the move name) from MK9
Really i was doing this before but now I will correct. thanks
It's that the new sparring gear for comp?
Took me about 20 minutes to learn and hurting my ring finger very bad when I slipped but i’m going to say this, it was worth it.
I tried to tornado kick but I think the kick tornado-ed me and I sprained my leg😅
Glad to know I was doing it correctly
I'm out of balance with the spin thing
Wow I didnt know the knee can be used for aiming
So it’s just a roundhouse at the end instead of a crescent kick. Good to know
Nice video man
Br
Basically if your foot is facing up, your doing it wrong o-o
For some reason I literally need a run boost to do that kick I can’t do it without walking
Thank yo u so much my instructor literally shouted at me for doing it wrong😅
These are two separate kicks the first one is a tornado crescent and the “corrected” kick is a tornado round
Direction knockout
Awesome😍
This is my favorite kick
bro i was taught to cross my legs then chamber, thanks for correcting me
What happend to your shadow fight video?
Holy that was me for like 3 years and I couldn't get past it then I fycked up my knee lost all muscle memory and 3 months later I could finally do it right, where was this video then
so i've been doing tornado kicks wrong my whole life
My tkd master always explained it by saying make a "4" shape with your legs
