14:23 The "gun" hand pose it's because their name in korean (bangtan sonyeondan) that means "bulletproof boyscouts", and their kinda greeting when introducing themselves (it's a common at between kpop groups, they shout out their name with a pose/hand move or even singing) is doing the same gun hand pose while saying their group name. So it's like reminding their proud as group

This performance is part of their Map Of The Soul Era which is based on a book by Carl Jung who was a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst from Switzerland. The songs have so much depth, it’s amazing
Each song has it's own deep meaning
the lyrics for dionysus are INCREDIBLE it plays with the words 야술 & 술 which mean art & alcohol, both share the same last syllable making it great for wordplay
they use it in the song in reference to dionysus (god of wine and ecstasy) in lines like ‘swirling a glass of art’ and talk about being drunk on their art
it is absolutely GENIUS
Jimin danced in the white and Jungkook danced in the water in black. Concerts are amazing.
This is hands down my favorite MMA performance, thank you for reacting to it! Also, maybe you did noticed this (but I'm telling you anyway because I love mythology) every member was meant to represent a different god in their individual parts! V as Apollo, Jin as Ares, Jimin as Artemis, Suga as Hephaestus, Jungkook as Poseidon, J-Hope as Zeus and RM as Dionysus (i wrote them in order since you still don't know their names)🥰 i love your reactions and I look forward to the next ones!

Boy In Luv is came out in 2014 and was part of their school triology! Boy With Luv is a collab with halsey, which kind of is an "answer" or a "sequel". They actually gifted halsey their own sparkly mic! What you could hear in-between is a fanchant, it exists for every group. it starts with the leader and then after age from oldest to youngest. MMA definitely is an award show. Melon Music Award, i believe. Jimin is such a sweetheart, if you want to hear him growl, i recommend "Tony Montana - Agust D (Suga) feat. Jimin"! What played right before Dyonisus (or however you spell that) is "No more dream" (V), it's one of their debut songs, Danger (Jin), I need u (Jimin), Fire (Suga), Save Me (Jungkook) and Fake Love (J-Hope).
jimins solo dance is so POWERFUL. whenever I watch it I feel my eyes tearing up, it’s so beautiful.
It was Jimin in Black Swan. You will like Serendipity, Lie, and Filter both videos and live performances. I also just love the lives for Let Me Know (they were babies) and the vocal line live for Truth Untold and House of Cards (3 ballads). Great reaction.

Little fact : the last dance at the desk , Jimin sat but his chair wasn't moved on cue like the others . He balanced down like he was sitting without the chair , the crew then moved his chair just a few seconds after .proving Jimins insane strength 💪 please react to Jimins Lie , very Beautiful and reminds me a bit of contemporary dance . It's my ultimate favorite of his solo's .

@@PaganReacts he is like the most graceful person ever and always gets voted best kpop dancer, yet the boy trips and falls off chairs constantly. He not too long ago broke his chair in their variety show ( Run BTS) and he legit just sat on one leg in the air. Don't be fooled he's cute and sexy, but also is trained in various martial arts and has a black belt in taekwando.
Nope. It’s part of the choreo. Maybe it’s to time something or it was getting in the way or something but their practice videos show the same chair issue which shows it was planned and not a mistake. Still, core strength on point. I’m thinking his chair travels the farthest so instead of it possibly slamming into his legs due to the rush, they slow down before, and ease it in a sec later.

I think that’s a different performance of Dionysius when Jimin’s chair isn’t moved in time.
Jimin is contemporary trained and is also trained in various martial arts, which makes his aerials AMAZING. I was blessed to be able to attend their Las Vegas concert last April. I was speechless. They love what they do and they love each other. You should check out their Run BTS series and their vacation shows it shows how much they truly love each other. I look forward to your BTS journey.

I may not be accurate, but the song (microcosmos) at 16:26 was pre-recorded so that the guys had time to change clothes and staff had time to prepare the scenery, as well as Jungkook's solo performance (also pre-recorded)
This is only one of their best live performances. Their live performances are top tier. Their songs are all amazing, choreography, they are very talented and over flowing stage presence. The amount of production they put through to their every performances are insane. Thats why, they are my ultimate group, plus their songs have story and great meanings. BTW, I'm Taehyung and Rm bias but i love all of them so much😍💜

At an AWARD SHOW no less??? I remember watching this unfold live via a crappy live stream and just being GOBSMACKED. Their own live shows are on another level. Happy that your bias has now claimed you! When you stop to remember that this is just for an award show! I have been lucky enough to see them in concert and believe me, it was the most amazing experience. Kinda take this and ramp it up an little and extend it to 2-3 hours. They are incredible performers. And to think they sing live while doing those incredibly hard choreographies. Masters

It's really common for some performances to be pre-recorded in korean award shows. (so that they can be edited) Also their outfits didn't change fast, they just cut it so it looks like it was seconds in between the two songs. This explains why they didn't have horses while performing live. The whole intro with the horses is pre recorded. Still even if some of the difficult performances in award shows are pre recorded and shown on screen, they still perform it live just without horses etc... sry for my BAD English. The special thing about Jimin's dance performance was that it was supposed to be JUST the pre recording but he insisted to perform it live and he did. correct me if i'm wrong 36:05 LOOK AT JIN STILL SINGING LIKE IT'S NOTHING THIS MAN ISTG
Other performances that I hope you'll check out are when Jimmy Fallon had a "BTS Week" where they performed every night which includes Dynamite, Mikrokosmos, Black Swan, Home and Idol. Jimin is an incredible dancer ❤️ he's so moving. You should try checking out one of his fancams (focused video on one member) sometime! He goes 100% all out on every stage and it's enchanting to watch
Your facial expressions watching this mirror mine.I adore Jimin’s stage. He is a beautiful ethereal dancer. This performance was iconic…but yes, their concerts are even better and no, you can’t get a ticket 😢….yet….cos after 9 years they’re taking time to do their own albums alongside their group work. But JHope is performing his own stage at Lollapalooza this month!!! Very different music to BTS. I highly highly recommend ‘A Guide to BTS: The Bangtan 7’ (Taylor YT channel). It really shows their individual styles & its current as at May 2022. If you want an overview of their career and impact, you could watch This is BTS on xCeleste channel. A couple of years old but the best one narrated in English. BTS are family. They are authentic, funny, hardworking & they literally change & save lives. 💜💜
Im glad you reacted to this, this performance is legendary and will go down in the books as one of their best performances. Jimin is my bias, I fell in love with him because of his charisma on stage! I recommend 'Filter' by Jimin live performance if you want to sweat lol! If you want to see another amazing performance by the check out the BTS 2020 MMA performance it's amazing!
My Bias is Jungkook, who is the youngest member at 24 years old. Jimin is also one of my favourite members. He is amazing at contemporary dance and is also amazing at street dance. He has such a unique and amazing voice and he is such a sweet person. JHope though, is the best dancer in the group, Jimin coming second. As Jhope studied street dance from a very young age and Jimin also studied contemporary and street dance and that’s one reason why you see them front and centre more. They are also part of the dance line, which members are Jhope, Jimin, Jungkook and also V who joined later on.
Both Jimin and J-hope are the main dancers. One is not better than the other.

MMA (aside from meaning Mixed Martial Arts, lol🤣) stands for the Melon Music Awards. Melon is one of the most popular music streaming services in Korea (some other charts you might hear referred to are Bugs, Genie, Hanteo, Gaon, Soribada). As you can see they have one of the biggest end of the year award shows (25,000 capacity for concerts at The Sky Dome). FYI: Asia knows how to do music award shows, Billboard has NOTHING on Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), Melon Music Award (MMA), Asia Song Festival (Gyeongju), Asia Artist Awards (AAA), The Fact Music Awards, KBS Gayo Daechukje, SBS Gayo Daejeon, MBC Gayo Daejejeon, The Golden Disc Awards, The Gaon Chart Music Awards, & The High1 Seoul Music Awards (these generally start around the end of Nov until about mid January, all of the groups who charted over the year are usually asked to perform unless they have other schedules to keep.) 2019 was BTS's year at MMA, so they had an extensive set to perform.
The 7 members solo stage has a meaning;
1st v : as god of sun, Apollo
2nd Jin : as god of war, Aries
3rd Jimin : as goddess of the moon, Artemis
4th Suga : as god of fire, Hephaestus
5th JK : as god of sea/water, Poseidon
6th Hobi : as god of light, Zeus
7th RM : as god of wine, Dionysus
I recommend you watch them on NPR Tiny Desk Concert. It’s a shorter live show (3 songs) that really shows off their voices and personalities.

Yea their journey started with staying together in one room , sharing meals spending time together most of the time. Also not to forget Leader RM chose BTS over his own solo career when he was asked by Bang PDnim. They really share a great bond and are VERRRYYYY CLOSE TO EACH OTHER

I love your reactions so much!!! Though yes they're talented and cute, it's absolutely worth it to get to know them better through maybe reacting to things like "run BTS" or "In the Soop" and watch their vlives! you'd LOVE Jimin's vlives, he's the most comforting man ever. (Yeah interviews exist, but the guys tell us a lot more themselves than through any interview.). When you know them better, you also see them differently when they perform.
also vlives and run BTS are just extremely fun, comforting and interesting to watch. For example in vlives, namjoon always dissects albums they release and walks us through how it's been created. Jimin is just a sweetheart who will be comforting one second, and then shamelessly flirt with us the next. please beware haha. Taehyung does "TaeTae fm", Jin does mukbang which has helped a lot of people with eating disorders--- idk there's so much to these men and you get to know them pretty domestically and learn a lot! They're very wise. idiots, but wise. You'll see the "idiot" part mostly during run BTS their show where they play games and do a bunch of activities. They're entertainers on top of singers etc, and they sure do entertain!

Really enjoyed this video. Also to clear up a doubt of yours, your bias(Jimin) is indeed the one who did the solo contemporary dance in the Black Swan MV not the guy in black(Jungkook). Another suggestion is when you eventually do the guide video you should see Ida S's video. I think it is the best introduction of the boys there is.

Are their concerts like this? Yes they r crazzzyyyyy. Can i get a ticket? Yes u can but its like a hunger game lol . Their 65,000 fans staduim tickets (for 4 days each) sells out in minutes and sometimes in presale even before tickets go public . They r amazing live performers. They turn every award show into their concerts like this . Every live performance of them is crazy and new and they never do the same concept for the perf. again. Jimin (Your bias) studied Contemporary dance at Busan High School of Arts and was a top student in modern dance.
You have got to do all their dance practice videos too. I promise you won't be disappointed. Also their Tiny Desk concert. And remember...
this was an AWARD show. The handgun gestures...BTS stands for Bangtang Sonyeondang which translates to Bulletproof Boyscouts. Which means to be resistant to racism, hate, discrimination and stereotypes aimed at them like 'bullets'.
MMA stands for Melon Music Awards, Melon is like Spotify in Korea and actually the horses weren’t there, they were recorded before the awards started

Bruh, performing Boy in Luv was such a cool thing to do. It was from the era where the Korean population pretty much shunned them because they were from a small, scandal-ridden company. They had written them off, and Boy in Luv didn't get the attention it deserved, so I love that, now that they're one of the most recognized artists in the world, they brought back music from that era to say, both to themselves and to the ones who tried to tear them down, "we were always worthy. We have always deserved this."
This performance is honestly amazing. I've watched it so many times. There's a few youtube videos where it shows other K-Pop groups reacting to the performance, and its jaw dropping when you realize "wait, this is all back to back" like after the first 2 songs, they did the outfit change in such a short time. When you watch the other idols react, you see that they're reacting on time with everything. AND THIS IS JUST AN AWARD SHOW, not one of their concerts. It's literally INSANE how much dedication BTS puts into their performances.

This is one of my favorite BTS performances. First time I saw this performance same reaction as yours. Now rewatching it with you same reaction. I love how you recognized two TXT members and said hi to them. I even said hi to them. Anyways your reaction is amazing and relateable.

Some of this performance is pre-recorded and some of it is live. Jimin's dance for example is live (you can still see the rose Jin threw during Boy with Luv on the ground), but the part where Namjoon/RM raps in the very beginning is pre-recorded until he leaves the room in his suit. Jungkook's dance - the one in water - was pre-recorded; there are fan videos that show JK hidden in the wings dancing along to what's on screen. The bit with the horses was pre-recorded as bringing horses onto a stage live like that would not only be a recipe for disaster but also animal cruelty and so against the law. Also BTS love animals. I also believe that the whole performance part of that last song, Dionysus, was done live. Mikrokosmos, however, was pre-recorded as well. Pre-recording some segments is not only meant to ensure the best performance is shown but is also there to give the boys a breather before the next live performance.
Oh and those first guys that where shown in the audience during Boy with Luv were two of the oldest in TXT (the others had to leave as they're too young at the time to be on live telly that late or something).
EDIT: Oh and you might notice that before every individual dance performance a light is lowered from the ceiling. In the end they form the constellation Corona Borealis, "the Northern Crown", which was a gift from Dionysus to his wife apparently.
It makes my heart so happy that you're a Jimin bias! We have a saying in ARMY: "Once you JimIN, you can't JimOUT." LOL! FYI, Jimin is the one who studied contemporary dance, and did all of the "Black Swan" solo dances and shadow dances (except for the one for RM, which was j-hope).
As for me, I'm a hard-line OT7, 'cause each of the members give me the different kinds of love that I need at different times in my life. I can't seem to keep a single bias. Currently, I'm self-identifying as a double-bias for Jimin and Jung Kook (the one who danced in the water), with SUGA as my bias wrecker. But, man, this changes all the time for me. I've decided to just love them all, and to let them inspire me all.
This performance is going down in the history in golden words. This is the most magnificent, gorgeous, well put together, powerful performance i have ever seen in my entire life. I literally am so proud of my boys. 💜💜💜

There is only one contemporary dancer in the group and that’s Jimin; his was the only contemporary piece in this performance (all in white “I Need U”). It (he) was exquisite! 💜👼🏻
I remember waking up so early to watch this as it was happening. It remains one of my favorite things I've ever seen...ever. This reminds me of why I fell in love with BTS in the first place. Thank you for your reactions. I'm pretty sure I had the same ones.
