Hey man, is there any particular why you bounce it and use it in the sampler instead of just doing the glides with portamento in Serum? Doesn't the sampler timestretch ruin a bit of the quality if you pitch it up/down if it's bounced as audio vs. doing it within the synth itself?
Can anyone explain 3:24 I’m following along but the top layer doesn’t sound the same but I feel like whatever he clicked here is important I just can’t replicate Im on Mac if that matters
Minute 2:00 guys he doesnt explain it but after connecting LFO 1 to A coarse pitch, he clics shift alt on the blue circle and he moves right the blue bar i dont understand a fuck and i didnt know precisely what he did but if you want to be precise you have to do that
Hey so whn I add the second OSC, it naturally modifies the first one creating an LFO, instead of just adding the harmonics. What am I doing wrong here?
2:07 Idk if this is just me but ive done what he did to the decimal up to this point but I feel like my transient sounds more clicky than his does. Am I imagining things?
yo at 2:04, you dragged the LFO onto the coarse pitch, then changed something after so that the blue line was only on one side! what was that please? it's the only thing i can't figure out :(
so, maybe you can make a video, where you explain different 808 types. Smth like: 3 Types of 808's, how to process them and when to use them and as a 4th step, how you fit them perfectly in your track. That would be an ultimative guide :D Thank you for the best content here on yt!
@@jzilla_grudgegang this was one 1 before, so i answered this question by myself 😁 But, what i wanted to know was different ways in creating and Sound designing 808's. Bc there s a Long way in creating an 808 and Then knowing how to process it, to geht it right to the industry Standard. I want exactly that Sound, my Favoriten Producers have and Then Go in and making my Sound Out of it
@@ZinglZanglBoB Exactly, every sound is made by a phisical object or a virtual oscillator, 808 come from TR808 kick that was moded to be longer, their not differents type or 808, or you may have short, medium long 808, or wide, stereo, mono 808, or distorted/clean 808 but you got to understand production and sound design as a whole this is a symptom that you don't understand theses things, don't worry Its an advanced subject.
great video! im just struggling with a certain part. when i drag the 808 i recorded from serum and try to put it on a midi track it just turns it into an audio instead of letting my sample it ?
When you've made it in MIDI after sound designing it, you record it into audio in another track. After that you take a simpler/sampler and drag the recorded audio version of the sound into the simpler/sampler. Then you can use it as MIDI again.
Guys i wanted to ask something that i cant find anywhere about basses. If i have a sub bass in my future bass drop hitting at around 40-60 hz, do i need another bass that plays the same notes but one octave higher or is the sub enough?
If the subbass is the only bass you have then it's not enough. I'd recommend distorting a sub even just a bit to get some more frequencies. That will make the bass fuller and help transition better to other sound systems. If the subbass is a layer of another bass tho, a clean sinewave or with a bit of the distortion will be fine (like a gritty bass with a low cut + subbass)
sometimes i feel that the intros are better than the actual video
Haha, I was wondering the same 😆
Thank god it's not the case here.
@@Nullllus ya ikr 😂
EYYY, more sound design! Always a treat to see one of these.
Okay, thanks man, this is actually the only 808 from scratch video I could find and learned from it, too! ^^
It's Too DAMM Hot in LA For this! LOL
@Zen World and @Oversampled
Pls, make a video collab 💜
Bruuuuh my favorite ninja is here 😳
Hey, just a little question. Some tips for making kick and 808 sound clean? And also how to mix properly an 808. Thanks❤️
Why didnt you resample the patch with the formant filter before the distortion? that sounded so dope! :D As always nice tutorial, learned sth 😌✌🏻
i really liked that sound

Sick sick sick... Loved it.
Serum 808s are killer. Recently i switched to Serum 808s. Thanks for this knowledge
All 808 are made from synth, the TR808 is a synth based drum machine !
That part at 5:18 came so unexpected I actually laughed out loud
Man why you spoil !
dubstep !

Be also careful to ENV 1 zoom he has a zoom he can see til 12s and the serum default settings are zoom you can see til 6s soooo dont confuse
your video quality is getting better every time even though it's near impossible to do so :)
The best way to make 808s is with FM synthesis imho
How did I not find this gem of a channel before??

Actually Perfect! Thanks for your tutorial!

nvm it kinda went away when I added distortion
simple and very effective. thank you my man
haha bass goes prrr
ahahah despacito
great vid broski

i figured it out, it was the directional modulator thing switching from bi to uni directional HEHEHEHEHEH sorry
You just MOOONSTER 🌋
Great tutorial! All of them sounded sick🔥
hey peter can you make a vid on how you are productive and u get stuff done n give us some advice that would be dope
Learnt plenty🔥🔥
Hi what type of synthesis is this ? Additive subtractive ? etc :D Thanks
Omg now i dont have to be looking for that perfect 808 in packs, i can make it myself! 🙏🏻

Different 808s lol? Serum literally has infinite wavetable capabilities. Are you referring to bass sounds? Like synth bass, mono bass and 808’s?

your awesome dude, i love your videos
Really nice
I need help on how to reduce a sample rate in simpler or sampler ???
Great video!
Cheers!
thanks
Oelala thanks for this one!
very sick

crazy 808 GG
Do you have any kits with this 808 in it?
Oversampled : I Made The HOTTEST 808s in Serum

Nice 👏
I love you
Will you create issues with a eq cut that low? I was always taught to cut everything below 20
Use an eq on the mixer track that’s assigned to serum for that if it’s too much sub
Why didn't you turn on the sub?
so great

Brooo please do how to sound like perto :)
Ye
#question what does resample means and how do I do it (I use fl studio)
Record the 808 into edison and save it as a wav file so you can make your own custom drumkits
Bro how to make delayed 808's?
Haven't heard of that one, what are delayed 808s?
@@Oversampled probably he meant 808 slides with rev & delay
You just play with the attack on the envelope on the bottom left of serum
Tidy👍
you really need to setup your camera not attached to your desk, the wobbling is killing me ahahah
Thanks Tobey Maguire of music
Does anyone know what headphones he uses?

Synth bass sounds cool layered over your 808/sub just eq them separately to make space for them to fit
oh i just noticed u look like spiderman toby mcguire, ill never look at you the same
On my phone some of them sound wierd.
Serum sounds weird no matter what speakers you use. Super overrated plugin.
Great tutorial thank you:)
Second like 🔥🔥🔥🔥
wtf the intro xD
Am I the only one who layers 808s?
its 808 so big..
I hate short 808 like the ones dababy uses. So overused
