There was snow on the ground, and it was cold. I had asked several people and businesses how to get to the Jackson home to view some of history. EVERYONE knew exactly where the house was located. It was interesting. When I finally showed up there, I got out of my warm car, and I stood outside of the gate with shorts on and sneakers LOOKING at the home. I couldn't believe it. On the side of the house, people left messages of where they were from and said good messages about being there. I was homeless at the time. I will never forget it.
