What a day. Almost every cast you hook a fish, why only stay for a short time. That pink and purple jig was money. So many fish around. Great day out there.
I went to stave todya and got a tone with the same jigs but when I first went it was bite after bite but this time it was evey 10 cast. Do you think it’s because most of them are spawned out now or is the season basically over at stave
Just experience. You can push on the belly and see if any come out, or make a small incision and check. Usually the cleaner fish will have the skein. That single egg fish didn't even have that dark belly, but I can just tell.
What do you do with the single eggs? I cook mine up so they don't pop on the hook and use em for cutties in the main stem fraser during winter. Mountain whitefish love em too. Oh by the way, when's the fishing with bottles online store opening? Need some od these jigs bro. Jig geek works awesome, but get raped on the price.
They're great for sturgeon bait. Got lots of whitefish with them too, but usually sturgeon bait. Honestly I'd probably have to charge the same as most commercially produced jigs. Too much time and effort.

How did you know that one of the female fish would be separated eggs? I’m just trying to avoid losing all the roe when i clean the fish lol.
