@@RhinoJoeOutdoors LOL! That's right! I'm hoping my buddy watches this before he starts shopping for a used kayak. Great tips! Roger, The Smiling BassHole
Great tips and an informative video as always! It ain’t a Native, but I’m glad to see you back with a kayak! Looking forward to some new kayak videos!!
love the video, showed this video to my buddy after he made a purchase from someone selling his kayak. found out that there was a leak somewhere lol. thanks for the advice
That is horrible. I know there are some people that will try to rip people off and unfortunately it becomes more common as people are strapped for cash in this hard economy.
Usually leaks are at the bow, stern, or where I pointed out along the seams in the scupper holes. Looking for cracks. You can always fill the kayak with water and loo for leaks that way if it is a sit on top and has a hatch. It’s hard when you are dealing with someone selling it. I find the best policy with anything is if I start asking to do things to look for defects and they oppose I just walk away.
It’s a great kayak. I fish smaller fast flowing streams which is why I got it. Handles way better in the streams than my other kayaks I have used. I still have it and I’m excited to get it out on the water.
@@RhinoJoeOutdoors awesome I’m pretty pumped for it! Without saying how much you paid for yours what would you consider a good price range for a good condition used one lol?
@@dylanchamberland4389 that really depends. There is the old first version and the newer version. I’d take an overall look at it and see what I thought.
@@RhinoJoeOutdoors I believe it’s the exact same model as yours it’s a 2015 with a high low elite seat. Same color and everything either way these things are hard to find it seems like and it just seems perfect for what I need so I’m not that concerned with the price I guess but have you paddled upstream with it yet?
Fantastic information! Great video.

Thank you BassHole!

👍 I have a Crescent Shoalie and love to river and creek fish on Salt River and Floyd's Fork. If I'm not in my kayak, I'm wading for those smallmouth!

It was either this or the crescent kayak shoalie. The shoalie was just too expensive when I knew I could probably find a used Coosa.
Great video man. Very good tips. 👍. Cool stuff. Happy Father's day too buddy
Good to see you back man! Yeah this heat has been brutal this week!
I broke a sweat just getting the kayak from my garage to the yard lol.

any tips on how to check for leaks etc when looking at the kayak in person?

What happened to your perception 11.5
I sold it and got a Jackson Coosa for the creeks I fish. I sold all my kayaks at one point when I got a bass boat.
Hey I’m about to possibly purchase one of these in a few days do you use it still and like it or did you get rid of it?

@@dylanchamberland4389 I have and it’s not super fast but it’s nimble. Mine was basically new as you can see in the video.
