Hey everyone! Here's my reaction and review of Clone Wars 1x10! Oh wow, we got to see inside Grievous' Mancave in this one! I really enjoyed Kit Fisto, he's such a cool, chill character! I felt really bad for his Padawan at the end...this war really has changed the way everyone looks at things, even Jedi! But I was surprised that even a traumatic experience like that didn't move Kit to act out of revenge. Also, can we talk about Grievous?! What is going on with him?! Clearly he is not purely a droid!!! It sounds like he was organic at some point...? Which would explain the cough! Can't wait to find out! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Grievous's alien race is known as the Kaleesh. They are a race of highly skilled warriors on their own, and they have a tradition where when one warrior bests another, he/she can claim his/her opponent's weapon as a trophy (rite of conquest). This is why Grievous collects the Lightsabers of the Jedi he kills: he's honoring his people's traditions.

Master Fisto was in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, and as other commenters have stated was one of the Masters killed by Sideous in Revenge of the Sith.

Those statues are what Grievous used to look like before he became a cyborg.

Grievous in legends though was tricked by dooku and was shot down and needed his body to be replaced and has a chip in his head to make him more bloodthirsty. Also in legends his cough came from Mace Windu crushing his lungs with the force, which u can see online if u watch the “Clone Wars” (2003) it’s on TH-cam , it’s a little action miniseries & isn’t canon, so you can watch it whenever.

Kit Fisto was one of the Jedi Masters killed by Palpatine in the lightsaber duel in Revenge of the Sith. You know, the one in which there was also Mace Windu :)

This episode is meant to retcon every other backstory that Grievous might have had. Some of those backstories stated that Grievous was sabotaged by Dooku in order to rebuild him as a cyborg and other weird ideas, but Lucas decided to change that and made Grievous a warrior that simply wanted to rival Jedi.... some say that he wanted to be one, but he did not have the force, so in order to pursue his goal of becoming a better warrior he decided to "IMPROVE" himself... like the statues show, and so every single improvement is just what Grievous wants to be and only has a small organic part inside his chest and part of his head... but... it is said that the systems were not perfect, and so the cough is a result of that, and its also a foreshadow to the breathing sound of Vader. In my opinion this backstory is better... it separates itself from the TRAGEDY of Vader and give Grievous more freedom to develop as a character.. I mean ... ¿does Grievous´s laugh sound like someone who is not happy with himself?

These statues are portraying Grievous before he became cyborg.

You’re not alone in liking Grievous‘s medical droid, he’s sassy as hell lol. Also yeah, Kit Fisto is a fan favorite for being a lot more friendly and emotionally open than most jedi

It is shown when he pushes B1-C3PO instead of slicing him.

Avalon Mandrake I think the exact moment when he became a fan favorite is when he had a solo episode in the 2003 Gendy Tartakovsky Clone Wars.

Apparently Grevious put the Droid back together after Fisto left, so there's that

This episode was another favorite of mine, not just because it's a Kit Fisto episode, but it was a tragedy for Nahdar Vebb, and I feel sorry for Commander Fil and the other clones too.
This also impressed me with not just the atmosphere of Grievous's lair, but also getting a glimpse into his origins. Those statues weren't just for decoration, they showed him as he progressively became less organic, and more mechanical. However, there is still a little bit of a living being left in Grievous, up until the moment he was killed.

Grievous coughing is actually explained in an old clone wars series - it was 2002 i think - you can watch that after you finish the normal clone wars😁 and kit fisto is a jedi master so one of the best jedi in the galaxy so it is normal grievous couldnt kill him easily😬 and... welllll i think watching the clone wars in order makes you experience it much better but its fine this way - i just think you can enjoy it more in order since the episodes werent released chronologically

It’s been a while since I watched this episode but I think that you can hear fleshy sounds when the medical droid pulls the face mask away from Grievous’ face.

Grievous is one of the tragic characters. He lost his family and love in Huk War on his planet.

I think you're forgetting the fact that he also is mostly machine. Most of his flesh is gone.

Grievous is rolling around in the afterlife at the fact that he's been called a Droid. **Triggered coughing noises intensifies**

Grievous was an organic creature & yeah in canon he thought it would be better to replace most of his body with robotic parts so he can be faster. In canon there’s no explanation for his cough.
