@@youraveragemonster sharp eye, the track material is also from the top of the warehouses. I carried all the ramps from there to base :D for now I'm waiting for chapter two, had fun in almost 500h of survival so far.
This is amazing. I could sense that frustration building towards the end of the video when your perfect demonstration was slowly falling apart. I hope you were able to iron out its flaws.
i like how its lag friendly too, i think i saw colored parts on the rail that seperate the entire rail into a segments so that the game doesnt have to calculate the physics as if the entire rail is a single object even though it is... smart
It's always amazing to watch such large engineering creations. Thanks for the video! They inspire me for my own creations) I'm also planning to experiment further with my own railway system, so that in the end I create smth similar to this.
Nice work. I understand your mission, i built an overhead rail link across my survival map also. Mine couldn't carry the weight that yours can. I ran into a disappearing wheel glitch that made me give in with it. Good luck and fun with yours.
I started building a monorail from the nearest oil pond to my base. Got lazy and it’s stuck at 10% of the distance 😂 I respect your grind I think it’s about 6,400 blocks long, or 400 stretches of a full block placement stretch (which is 16 blocks), meaning the entire distance is probably 64,000 tiles/blocks.
A nice smooth track your corners are all a bit sharp by the looks of it. I keep searching for other peoples track designs for when i eventually build my own. My dream is to be able to deliver a full Chunk farm in one trip which is over 700 crates.
Impressive that you got a railway to work. Granted, I'm super impatient, so I couldn't handle building corners. I worked meticulously to add Survival recipes to X's train mod so I could do something like this but take corners at 60 to 90 kph...I admire your patience lol
Thanks, this works better than I could have expected. After hundred of hours in survival taking 'projects' like this is what gives motivation to play. Until more updates of course. Have fun!
Awesome work and I can relate to the amount of patience it must have taken to make this. Also if you had to record this multiple times to get the best run before it breaks at some point 😁 Would be cool if this could have been somewhat automated too but probably couldn't due to the draw distance would be a problem I think.
Thanks. I'm not content creator, this was first recording, it only crashed because i forgot to remove a light from tracks after adding second row of wheels. Otherwise was stable and no fps issues as I loaded crates manually so no collisions.
I'm trying to do this myself but I have trouble making the corners. Could you make a video explaining how it works? It would really help me. Your build is impressive, btw
sry I can't, I haven't played in a while, check the video and look how the small 1 blocks are put between the corner pieces. You need to place a block on one corner piece, then you put the second corner piece on the block, not on the other corner piece directly. hope it helps.
@@mytzusky Giving it a closer look, it is an actually very clever way to do it. Shame you stopped playing, although I can see you don't usually upload many videos. Still, thanks for replying so quickly!
So ive made like a self building monorail system in creative right? After a certain length, it gets glitchy and my riders refuse to stay on, sometimes they fuse trough the rail, ideas on how to mitigate?
You have to split it in different parts, by using different materials. Notice how my rail has some wood blocks which prevents the entire rail being one part of same material.
@@mytzusky does it work if i have a beam section of around lets say, 200 concrete blocks, which is attached to a 200 block wood section via pipe blocks?
You need to separate in different sections. Either leave spaces in between or use different material as i used the wood. Otherwise each part of the track is only linked to ground by their pole.
I was still testing and forgot to remove a light on track, after added second row of wheels for stability. And also, because you cant put creation on lift when crates are on. :) fun times
Prevents the cart from popping out of the two tracks if you go fast when a downhill begins. It might not fully prevent that so I go slow :D. The nice thing is the bit is on a bearing, and when train is on the lift, the bit is aligned with the tracks, so theres no collision and I can put the carts back on track with the lift, then when you go it spins and not being alligned anymore it will not go through the tracks (its free bearing, not powered)
@@lolkekbypek separate big constructions into chunks by space or different material block. if you look at my track it has empty spaces or different materials as wood blocks between sections (it helps physics)
It doesnt lag because the track is separated in multiple pieces, each pole has a gap. Otherwise runs pretty smooth compared to others for the size of it.
ha, its quite stable actually, I was testing double wheels there and forgot to remove the light on the track. It only sucks I cant put the train on the lift when there're crates on it, it is what it is.. :)
@@WantToKnowMore no way dude, why I didnt think of that before. I designed the track so the train can just fall/slide in after using the lift, so def welding it will work. THANKS.
I don't have enough patience to grind and build something like that... Truly impressive
These blocks are basically free. You can get A LOT them from the little buildings on top or next to any warehouse.
As long you know how to build it it’s easy. The hard part is too make the idea and that’s impressive

The fact he used alot if those ramps from warehouses tells me he’s done a lot of grinding besides the other blocks, well done you’ve earned a sub!

Very cool narrow gauge track design. You should also add a controller to which you could momentarily hook up those bottom pipes for rerailing.
