I agree with you 3c/4a...when your hair has moisture and product on it is capturing your TRUE CURL PATTERN.. when it's dry there is no way to tell...ur true pattern is what ever it is with moisture❤
Hey, Sis. I'm a cosmetologist and you most definitely have 3c/4a hair. A lot of times, people confuse length with hair type. If your hair was down to your waist, nobody would be disputing whether or not you were 3c/4a. Also, y'all don't bother trying to fight me on this, 'cause I won't respond. 🙃
This is why the whole typing system is annoying to me. It’s another way to gatekeep and categorize hair unnecessarily. I do get that for some people it’s a quick way to find tutorials by people with similar hair. But it’s not that serious in my opinion. I acknowledge that claiming 4c when you’re clearly not can be offensive to some people. But when you’re on the line between two, what’s the big deal? I consider myself to be 3c/4a but is it becoming necessary to have to announce percentages? 50% each type or whatever your personal percentage is. It starts to feel like overthinking the whole thing.
I type my hair based off the pattern when it’s wet with no product because that allows me to see how it naturally curls. With that being said I sit in the 3C/4A family and I’ve had to tussle with the comment section too. Can’t satisfy everyone 😅
I liked the Rosemary side more once it was dry & stretched but the humidity side looked good also! I thought the humidity side would win while your hair was wet but nahhh!!!
beautiful results on both sides!! so true what you are saying about using the products that work for your hair . Natural hair is a process and with all the new products coming out all of it can be a bit overwhelming and intimidating.
You are absolutely 3C/4A and your curls are gorgeous. All of the states should be taken into account when typing hair because they all are what make it what it is. It is more common that we have overlap with hair types, mine is 3B/3C. It's understandable that people would get annoyed or upset. I'm so sick of people with loose waves claiming that they have curly hair. People with curlier hair types specifically types 3 and 4, have had to undergo a lot of negative experiences such as discrimination and telling us our natural hair is inappropriate. When looser types claim to be part of the group it takes away from our struggles. Type 2 has said that they have experienced this discrimination's well, and I believe that, but it's nowhere near what type 4 has had to go through. All hair types have their beauty and we all need to embrace our natural hair type and texture as well as avail ourselves of whatever safe and healthy styling techniques we like to to achieve the looks we feel express who we are 🙂
Finally found someone with my hair texture. I would have never described my curls as 3c but my hair isnt shiny like 3 hair and it doesn't behave like 4 hair when wet. It’s flat to ky hair and the curls are loose. Such a cluster.
Your hair is absolutely 3C/4A.. When the hair is clean & WET is the natural pattern. Once you style, especially if you curl it around your finger, it’s no longer the natural pattern…. PPL ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT WHEN IT COMES TO OTHER PPL’s HAIR… So ignore them & do you!!! Oh and if your hair needs more PRODUCT, apply it.. just bc someone else says add water doesn’t make it true for everyone!!
You and I have the same curl types going on. I’ve been watching your videos for well over 6 years (before I went natural accidentally 😅). I don’t typically curl type my hair bc I find that porosity matters more and my hair will always do what she wants to do. But your videos give me ideas on how to style and get this mangy mop together when she wants to act right chile 😂
You can’t win with the natural hair police😂. If you said your hair was 4a they would’ve been the same way, telling you that you’re not apart of the type 4 community. I think that you’re a mixture. I also think that density and hair strand thickness/fineness plays a part as well.
I say type 4 hair. I used to think i was a type 3 but type 3 will still dry with like hang to their hair and defines spirals. Type 4 will dry without product as very frizzy with few defined coils and lean more afro than downward hang. So thats why i said type 4 for myself and would say you are also type 4....prob 4 A and probably have some 3c hairs in there.
I totally agree with what you’re saying about hair type. That’s funny my hair texture looks like yours and I say I’m 3c/4a. But really I don’t like to say because I really don’t know what it is.lol 😂
As a cosmetologist, this is definitely not 4b hair. She's correct; it's 3C/4a.

I judge my hair type based on what it looks like when it's damp AND detangled. Some products tend to weigh my hair down so I can't go by how it looks with product in.
My takeaway from this video is the fact that you said if you claim a certain type of hair and don't have it, it's an issue. Just WOW. I've heard about reppin gang sets but hair. Well I love your hair. Whichever curl pattern it is.
it's not like beef lol but it's moreso consideration for people who actually have whatever hair - so I wouldn't post a video saying its 4C because if a woman with 4C hair finds my video then it's misleading and it'll be harder for her to find videos that are actually 4C if that makes sense lol
I thought my hair in the back was 4c, but after beginning detoxing it, my hair is a mix of 3c,4a,4b.. In the front it’s another story, it’s 3c mixed with 4a,..Dry it’s like 4a in the back and 3c, 4a in the front…And I’m also low porosity in the back…It’s a real drive..🤣🤣🤣🤭🤭😁😁
I think you’re too tight for a 3, personally. Either way the girls need to chill cuz it ain’t that serious. Edit: All of em. Wet, dry, with product, without product. The consistency is there more than people like to give it credit for, but they’re not studied and documented. Hair isn’t perpetually dry, wet or coated in product, so it shouldn’t be typed just one state of existence. I think a far more reliable typing system can be created…but it’s gotta be researched instead of guessing.

How do we determine what kind of hair we have
No, her hair isn't curly enough to be 3c/4a
We have very similar hair. I always say 3c/4a. I’m tied of people telling me that I have good hair. It’s just good hair care. That’s it that’s all.
Natural hair is so tricky! You have beautiful hair regardless. I honestly think porosity impacts your hair look more than the curls themselves.
Your hair type is beautiful. My husband always says my hair pattern is my own and unique. I tend to agree with him .
I feel like saying 3c /4a is perfect your truly in the middle your curls are big but can also be cottony

You literally just have 4a hair
come back and try this eco gel in the actual summer to see if it really helps with humidity!
This the one 💯
Wow your hair is so pretty. Those are really nice products 🩷 I like both sides, I really can't tell the difference!
I love using a shampoo brush to detangle, it’s the easiest way for me to
I liked the Rosemary side more once it was dry & stretched but the humidity side looked good also! I thought the humidity side would win while your hair was wet but nahhh!!!

She litreally doesn't have 3c/4a hair
Hey girl hey! Glad you made a video using these products!
Wow 🤩 from here it looks the same still gorgeous.💖❣️🤍🩵🩷💛🧡💜💝💓💗💚
Hi Slim🥰 I'm going to try the Eco gold gel I like the ingredients, I really like the humidity block side It looks more moisturized 🤎🤎🤎
Finally found someone with my hair texture. I would have never described my curls as 3c but my hair isnt shiny like 3 hair and it doesn't behave like 4 hair when wet. It’s flat to ky hair and the curls are loose. Such a cluster.

Yes you said my thoughts exactly lol
That eco humidity block gel got my attention
My hair is 4A/4B. And your hair looks just like mine! 😃
Girl I had pause your video that was so funny when you brought up the 4C community 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Going back to the video now lol 😂 ❤❤❤❤❤
Your hair is beautiful by the way. I type my hair in a wash n go state. What my natural curls look like
Thank you!!
Hi does the humidity block gel have glycerin in the first 5 ingredients?
Your natural hair is beautiful😘😘
Thank you!!
Hey girl hey 👋🏾. Your hair came out so beautifully. Both sides are cute. I think I like the rosemary side a tad more. Tfs.
Thank you so much 🤗
Do you mind following up with us and letting us know how it held up please? Thanks!
My hair is mixed 3 and 4 so I can be what I want. Periodt❤😂
The eco styler curl n styling cocktail was my favorite but Walmart removed it 😢
Dangggg

awwww im so glad my videos were helpful! and yesss my hair be doing its own thang too!
To me they look the same but a humidity block seems like a good idea, I would type my hair while its dry no product in its most natural state...
Both sides came out cute .

Her hair is type 4, that type system is based on curl size. My hair looks just like this.
I agree you do have type 3 and 4 lol idk why people get so bent out of shape about someone else’s hair! Lol why they mad you claiming you have 3c hair

Thank you. This is the best explanation I've seen for clarity between the 3 & 4's
Beautiful curly hair ❤❤❤❤❤
I totally agree with what you’re saying about hair type. That’s funny my hair texture looks like yours and I say I’m 3c/4a. But really I don’t like to say because I really don’t know what it is.lol 😂
I grew my hair out taking youth theory collagen+ biotion supplement and doing a weekly deep conditioner
I need to try that!
Nice! Thanks for this video!
3c hair dry is still curly they need less or no product to wash and go. They are literally washing and going. They don't spin hrs to wash and go.
I would say you’re 4a/4b and this video was SO damn funny 😂😂😂
As a cosmetologist, this is definitely not 4b hair. She's correct; it's 3C/4a.

thats a great point!!
You are definitely type 3C hair, your natural hair is what it is when it's in its natural state.
Love it❤
Rosemary mint
First❤..hi gorgeous

Thanks for sharing 😀 👍🏾
My pleasure!
Hey, remember how you made a vid talking about your bald spot. Has it somewhat grown in yet?
Yes it has!
Considering who created the hair typing chart was texturist I don’t hair type. It’s not scientific and no one can agree on what is 4a bc or whatever
Hahaha! love your personality....☺ I'm still trying to figure out my hair type.
They'll be alright 😂😂😂😂
I think 3c
I thought my hair in the back was 4c, but after beginning detoxing it, my hair is a mix of 3c,4a,4b.. In the front it’s another story, it’s 3c mixed with 4a,..Dry it’s like 4a in the back and 3c, 4a in the front…And I’m also low porosity in the back…It’s a real drive..🤣🤣🤣🤭🤭😁😁

It looks so frizzy for day 1

She has curls and coils. This is my exact hair type. Definitely 3c/4a combined
