I was giving my partner a PTX primer before we went to our first concert last December and he was blown away by their original music - he kept asking why they were known only for their covers when their originals were so wonderful!
I heard a snippet of A Little Space over the speakers of the electronics area at Target tonight and almost squealed out loud while shopping for a car seat for my kid.
Unfortunately nobody thinks acapella can be club music,so this never was heard where it should have been. This was one of their earliest original songs, if not THE earliest. It kicks ass live, too. Speaking of live, I'm going to my first PTX concert in December and I can't even stand myself I'm so excited!

SUGGESTION for the first day of October, I know it sounds strange to suggest a song with Christmas in the title, but this is from Nightmare Before Christmas which many people call a Halloween or a Christmas movie....The costumes and great staging of this makes it perfect for October if you ask me.
Matt, I believe Jan may have been so excited to post a suggestion for you that she inadvertently forgot to mention the title of the song, but I recognized it immediately from the context. It is called "Making Christmas" and I'd even go so far as to recommend you open the floodgates to as much Christmas PTX music as you'd like to listen to from October to December. Spread it out and enjoy!
I agree with both suggestions! PTX has so much Christmas music that you could've started in June! And if you add some Home Free Christmas in you'll be going into February! 🎅🤶🎄😘

I recommended this a while ago but know I was one of many! We knew it would blow your mind! Thank you for doing this, one of my favourite originals by them and I recommend it to everyone haha.

I know I usually put it on my list for new PTX reactors, because it is one of the best things they did in this era, and has been criminally neglected, even at it's 70M views or whatever it is. From Kevin's throat bass and Avi's beatboxing to Mitch's soaring harmonies, to that bridge with Avi descending to the freaking abyss while Kevin just completely glitches out, and that final beat drop is sooooooooo satisfying! They did this around the time they did Daft Punk, and if you asked me which of the two had won a Grammy, I'd have said Love Again, every single time.

You have asked the question that cannot be understood. Why does PTX not get radio airplay except at Christmas? Their originals including this one should have gotten airplay. Since they sing in every genre they should be heard on every radio station.

My favorite live performance of theirs is this song. They do it in a backstage hallway and nobody has a mic except Kevin, and they legitimately sound studio quality. That was an original song too. Avi with the bass and Kevin with the beat boxing. Incredible. I really enjoy this one too and I'll add it to my gym playlist too. Not sure why I hadn't done that before. lol Radio doesn't do Pentatonix (A Cappella) justice, nor does it do foreign acts like BTS justice. Same issue. Radio is scandalous, in my opinion.
This is one of my favorites of their originals, and I'm not a dance/club guy, I just love what they do with it. It's EDM without the "E". Mitch's soaring lead, Scott & Kirstie with the perfect backing harmonies, and Avi & Kevin killing it with the hard core EDM club beat. And not only do I love the song, the visuals are totally sick! A screencap from this is one of my favorite desktop wallpapers.

Bonus info what their living arrangements were for several years starting out in the interview. The manager Mitch is talking about that gets aggravated with them on tour is actually Avi's sister Esther if you notice Avi's smile at that. The reason they didn't perform it very often is because of potential damage to Kevin's throat from his doing the bass instead of Avi.
