Thank you for taking the time to shoot this video! Even though I'm dealing with a different set up (dixie chopper eagle 2760 - 2 separate tanks) and trying to get SOME idea of how to do this 'cause i noticed one of my little expansion tanks was looking kinda empty 😩, you're video definitely helped! Especially with your commentary answering the little "worry" questions i know would enter my head as I'm going along! And i have to admit- as sometime who is constantly almost stalling my engine by engaging before taking parking brake off, i had a good chuckle and really appreciated seeing a pro fall victim to the same! 😄 Thanks again! 😊
Thanks, very helpful! For readers, oil type and filter part number, and sometimes the procedure, can usually be found in the owner's manual. Also, the oil level in the reservoir should be checked after bleeding the lines; top off as necessary.
Yeah not to mention right over the belt(s) so the oil can leak all over the rubber and soften those, of course we should probably remove the belt(s) but who does that? In this case I'd remove the one that needs replacing, then drain the oil...
Great tips like taking the cap off . I bought my Bobcat 50” used and I had to buy a new carb for it and a pulley along with a battery . She’s having issues with the right hydro so I’ll change the fluid and add a new filter. I still have to install new blades that I specifically ordered online . Be good .
@@georgannabbondanzieri979 Make sure that your belt tension pulley for you drive motors is applying tension and that that belt is in good shape. If the belt is slipping you will have a sluggish drive and it will not climb a hill.
I recently tried to change the Hydraulic fluid in my JD Zero turn and followed the exact steps you did. After I purged the air out, or so I thought, by running the tires forward and backward, I dropped the mower to the ground and I got it to move 5 feet and the unit quit moving. I refilled the Hydraulic fluid to the full line and still nothing happened. I was told that the unit was not purged properly even though I opened breathing bolts a few turns and closed them to fill the fluid. Was I not purging the mower correctly?
NICE! That looks exactly like my Lesco 54" zero turn, quick question.. you wouldn't happen to have a resource of the belt sizes would you? I heard the cadet tanks are the exact same too but don't quite know how accurate that is. Asking to keep from having to pull the belts then run to the parts store

Did you leave the hydraulic tank cap off when you purge it ? How does the air get purged? I've never done one but I'm about tp do it on a Lesco zero turn
The hydraulic tank cap does not need to be left off to purge. The inlet and outlet are at the bottom of the tank, well below the fluid line. When the fluid is being drawn from the reservoir into the system it sucks fluid from the reservoir and when it cycles through it spits it back into the reservoir, when air bubbles get to the reservoir they float up into the top of the tank. There is always a little bit of air space in the top of the reservoir tank, but the inlet and outlet are nowhere near that air space unless your reservoir is almost completely empty.
Hello , great informative video , would you happen to know what pumps etc are on an older Bobcat Leo & what oil to use ?? Maybe 15W 40 - 20w 50 ?? Can't find this info anywhere !! Thank you !! 🙂👍
Here is link to a Bobcat Leo parts manual - www.lawnmowerpros.com/pdfs/bobcat/4125724.pdf Here is a link to Maintenance manual for a Bobcat Leo - warrantyws.schillergc.com/PartsDevImages/Images/4133618/Operator%60s%20Manual%204133619.pdf It looks like 20W50 when I quick skimmed through it. I have a Craftsman ZTS7500 and it says that no drive oil change is required nor does it mention even checking the level. Can the hydraulic oil in this mower be changed/checked? Thanks for a great video.
I am sorry, but I am not familiar with that mower and don't want to tell you anything wrong. If I had it in front of me, I could probably figure it out, but without seeing it, I'm just not sure. Good luck with it and I'm sorry I couldn't help on that question.
What year mower is that and is it a 61 inch deck. If so could you please send me the model number. Trying to buy parts but the one I purchased from someone doesn’t have a model number on it

I have the 61inch cut bobcat and I just changed the hydraulic oil and now the left wheel barely pulls any suggestions? Thank you. Your video was helpful
I know this not the answer that you probably want, but follow your manual. My manual says 15W50 , but other manuals say hydro oil. The safest bet is to follow your manual. I was looking at your manual online and they give very little info on them. It is a residential model so the manuals typically say for you to contact the dealer, because they don't want you doing it yourself, or they feel that you may not have the proper tools. I can't really give you a good suggestion, since I am not really familiar with your mower. If you are completely set on doing it yourself, then possibly call a cub cadet dealer and just ask them what type of oil is used for the hydro system. Good luck with it.
I have 10 yr. Old snapper z150...50 inch deck , 26 HP. Where is the filter , drain and fill holes on it? Seems they're all different. So.e have one filter for L and R. Tour's has just one. What does my snapper have?
I was wondering do you have a problem with your drive belts on my work mower it keeps popping off and shredding 3 in one day and I had it serviced last fall and I notice a pulley was missing a bolt put a new one in and it still broke now I took half my work day to fix it and it’s still a POS!!!!
Never use synthetic oil in the hydro system, I don't care what anyone says. I have a XXWD5000 Dixie chopper with 24cc wheel motors and was told to never use synthetic oil in the hydro's

Could the engineers choose a WORSE place for the hydraulic system than right in front of the engine! Great video. 💯💯💯

Will this be the same for 2010 Bobcat 36" walk behind hydro mower? I have the same looking metal hydro oil tank on my WB.
I would think it would be similar. Check on the tank for a sticker, or your manual for the proper oil type and filling height.

Never had any belt problem on my 6 yr old BobCat Pro, had dealer change all belts at 5 yrs for peace of mind.
Thanks appreciate
You are welcome
I’ve never seen a filter wrench like that one. What brand is it and where did you get it?
Bob Wood harbor freight sells them. But when you get one, get a dremel tool and cut in grooves so the device can bite into the filter
I believe that I got mine at Harbor Freight, but they also sell them on Amazon.
You need to replace that belt too, or at the very least make sure you have a replacement on hand when they get to looking like that...
I did replace that belt and another belt in this video on my channel. th-cam.com/video/vHeiclAWr4A/w-d-xo.html
At best you got 50% of the oil change you never drank the hydrofluoric out of the pumps and lines
