- @nischa is a finance TH-camr who started her journey about a year ago and has gained some serious traction. Her topics include personal finance, financial tracking, and accountant hacks. In this video I break down what made Nischa so successful on TH-cam.
Nischa is likeable, serious, engaging, knowledgeable and easy on the eye. She backs up her advice with experience or credible references and I think her demographic of young people who are looking to get a better understanding of simple financial principals respond well to it. I'm a bit older so a lot of it is a bit basic for me but I commend her in breaking it down for a generation who've been let down but the education system and with limited prospects unless you have a degree. Above all she's relatable so those who aspire to be like her do not see it as something outside of realm of possibility.
She's not spending her time making videos about other TH-camrs but I have noticed her flat out copy thumbnail ideas and titles which many do too.

Stop hating on Nischa. Her channel did well because she ADDS VALUE and PROVIDES INFORMATION to subscribers. In addition, she has a substantive background in Finance and personal investing. Not subscribing…

Wether we like it or not, the way she speaks is very attractive. Not in a weird way. Her voice, her accent, and she seems trustworthy, authentic, clear and to the point. She just focus on points that helps straight away.

I have been following her videos and workshop for years and I love her content. It doesn't matter to me if she missed few days or weeks to publish because I am sure she was busy. And also, when TH-cam rs takes time to create their content, they always deliver quality. What 's important is quality and not quantity. You see a lot of TH-cam rs who try to deliver video weekly and experience burnout, or depression from the pressure, or a bad quality out of topic content.

I’m a 55 yr old male & think her work is amazing. She’s honest intelligent has a lovely voice & look but most of all she is not out to con anyone & gives good open honest advise from her own life & even includes her mistakes so the viewer doesn’t have too.
Not everyone has her talents so I’d leave her alone it won’t make your channel any better making videos about others, good or bad I wouldn’t have thought.

I'm a woman and a Wealth Manager. I just started my TH-cam channel in Finance and you wouldn't believe the amount of negative comments and racist/sexist junk I had to remove from comments. I've followed Nisha for some time and took inspiration from her camera and set up to start the process of upping my game. My channel is 88% male and I am trying to balance my demographics. Don't hate, congratulate. She's a good content creator, her production quality and she gives great value

Champ, the bottom line is this, she has really good authentic content that helps people. Shes honest about her spending and habits and she gives really good advice.
One thing that will stifle growth in life brother is jealousy and envy, it will eat you up and stop you from going forward. Theres a reason shes where shes at and youre where youre at.

Interesting video, Inaam. I'll address some of your points though as a neutral viewer/follower.
I've been subscribed to Nischa's channel back when she only had 5-6 videos up and only had a few hundred followers.
She's grown remarkably quickly with one of her videos going viral and thus elevating her entire channel. She even made a video about her rapid growth going from 40K subscribers to 150K subscribers in 3 months.
Her video quality is very professional, no doubt. And she's mainly stayed the course regarding her niche (finance, saving and investing) and hasn't strayed away from it.
She herself said though that there are many times where she struggles to record and publish videos due to lack of interest and inspiration.
She said that she enjoyed posting videos as a hobby before she got monetized. But after being monetized and having more responsibilities and with an avid audience awaiting her next video, she lost some of her passion.
And what was once a hobby quickly turned into a chore. So I can understand why she doesn't post a video as consistently now. Plus she runs her course and has other things in her life I'm guessing.
Creating videos aren't easy when you're a TH-camr at her level who is now expected to create high quality and useful content that her audience is expecting from her. So she has to take a lot of time thinking of ideas, creating scripts, filming, editing, etc.
I don't think her being female necessarily gives her an unfair advantage over others in the finance niche. I think her personality, on-screen charm, and seeming like a genuinely nice person has helped her channel a ton. I can give examples of male youtubers who also have subscribers and views similar to hers. I think overall it's about presentation and having a clean cut way of speaking and making the audience interested in your content.
In your case, you seem to also be good in your space but your video quality and presentation is really lacking and your videos seem to be spread across various topics. You might want to check out Ali Abdaal or Joshua Mayo to see how those guys talk and present. Both of them have hundreds of thousands if not millions of subscribers. And it's quite obvious that they've put a ton of effort into their presentations and editing. Also, having eye catching thumbnails also helps.

I agree about TH-cam being a chore, I’ve listened to many TH-camrs feeling the same way. It becomes a chore.
In terms of our styles, many recommend you can try different niches when you have less subscribers as you haven’t created a specific audience yet. It becomes much harder when you have more subscribers.
Also, Joshua Mayo is probably the only male TH-camr that blew up last few years and that’s mainly due to his editing skills. Nischa’s editing is no where near that level especially when she just started out (no offense).
@@Inaam1Khan I think based on comments left on her videos, her viewers see her as trustworthy. Almost like she's speaking directly to them as a friend who's trying to help and educate.
I feel that genuiness does help. She speaks eloquently.
There are other females in her niche who also have huge subscriber counts.

The early videos that helped propel her channel were "9 Things I Stopped Buying.." which took her to 40k subscribers and shortly after, her video "Money Habits Keeping You Poor" then pushed her to 150k subscribers. Although it was sustained and consistent weekly content overall that kept her subscribership increasing. And she became a trusted voice in the finance niche alongside other big youtubers in the same niche.
Nischa is amazing, everything well deserved! I think this is the beginning of the end for you..

I think it also has something to do with the environment which in the videos are being shot. Everything feels and looks like a person that succeeded in life. And she has charisma. But it has nothing to do with other TH-camrs not being "good enough". I'm ready to listen to any male or female TH-camr that speaks about finance in general.

Yes but this particular video was released a month ago. Your lighting is poor. She’s well read as well. My only criticism of her was once she suggested writing a book in order to create a passive income through royalties. This is a troupe a lot of these money advisors advise. Writing a book takes years & it is not a method in ordered to create a passive income stream.

Nischa is a good looking female. And she has some general advice, shot well, that isn't unique but what is in finance. She also had a viral video that created massive leads. If you can post "glodman sacha day in the life" or "clickbait title" you'll get hits.

This is the truth although many people don't want to accept it. Don't get me wrong, I like the way she speaks and her past as an accountant is valuable for the topic, but her thumbnails/titles and video ideas are all the same as any other finance youtuber (because that's what works).
Obviously she gets more views because she's a female and a pretty one at that, quite common on this platform or any other content creation platform.

I clicked on this expecting a hate video due to the title, and it isn't one - you clearly admire the success Nisha's made of her channel. I'd like to see her own response to your comments though.
As others have pointed out, she's very good looking but she doesn't seem to "play up" to her looks - she is serious and almost formal in her presentation. She's obviously very knowledgeable and organises her content well with no gimmicks.
I always had my suspicions on her. I don’t trust people who only identify themselves with a single name. And I actually did a background check on her. It doesn’t check out. Not one. She is a fraud. I am a retired Investment Banker. I have never heard of her while working on Wall Street for the past 30 years. She is a scam.

Ive been following Nischa since she had like 55k subs. and its because her content is so easy to understand and high quality.

Wait, so how is what she’s doing a scam again? Seems like she’s just putting in the work to make the best content she can and reach the most people. This video just feels like someone who’s salty at another’s success.
I watched the whole video and I found nothing "EXPOSING". Instead of showing people why she is successful (doesn't matter what you have or haven't covered in this video), if you focus on the content you are creating, you wouldn't need to create this video.
If you have followed when and what she stepped on, you too should have, not more, at least equal number of subscribers.
This is actually a very complimentary video about Nischa. By putting the word "EXPOSED" in the title, you give the impression you are going to rip her to shreds, but actually, you examine some of the things that have made her so successful. I think some of the comments are from people who didn't watch the full video. Maybe if the title and the thumbnail were not going for the shock factor the people making negative comments wouldn't have been so quick to judge.

Inaam, if you want to find more differences between yours and Nischa's channel, I have the following observations (and I don't mean any of it as an insult to you):
Your thumbnails are inconsistent in colour and style, and sometimes you have none. Hers have a consistent style, and give some idea of what the video is about. The colours you choose are inconsistent and garish, and frankly remind me of those chosen by Alt-right click bait. Nischa's use consistent colours that don't perturb the eye.
Your videos are shot in different places with pretty random backgrounds, and tbh it looks a bit amateur and that you're just doing this as a hobby.
It's unclear to me what your channel is about. It's kind of about finance, but sometimes there's stuff that's only loosely related. The content of Nischa's videos is quite apparent from the titles, and in many cases they are How to's or speak about something relatable in the area of personal finance.
It's not about how long you've been doing it, it's about whether you've nailed the/your formula. And so far you haven't. Good luck with growing your channel, Inaam!
Mark, I actually appreciate this constructive feedback. Although Nischa’s channel blew up way before she implemented these things (pretty much her first video blew up), I do agree with all of your feedback and differences. Thank you!

I don't think what you are saying is correct. She went viral only after 10 months. I have been watching her channel since she has had 80K subs. She also explains her growth in one of her own videos. As a TH-camr myself, I can totally see why you can get frustrated...but there is nothing to expose here. She's likeable, relatable, knowleageable on her subject, and yes... easy on the eyes.and probably a little lucky. Win Win! Her content is easy to digest, effective production quality with a calming setting. The funny thing? I'm not watching her channel for financial advise. I have already implemented most of her advice for the last 25 years! So I am set...I am watching to see how she has grown her channel so I can get out of my own grind! Focus on what she is doing right and see if you can emulate it in some way but with your own personality and touch. Your video comes across like a ploy to get more views to your channel than an honest take on hers. I feel you missed the mark in this video. Focus on making your videos better....from content, advice, optics, and you'll eventually get there.

Your content is hugely different, the quality of video due to the camera she uses and her videos are visually entertaining. She uses aspects onscreen to benefit the narrative where as yours are simply a to b talking and well some might say… lazy… so maybe up your game and drop the jealousy.
