Can't wait to hear my BMW r51/3 with side car TR 500 singing like yours, it's so beautiful. She was running OK but 12 years back I took her apart just for a paint job to take off four layers of paint, original color is olive green, but because too much work, family not enough time to work on her so I put her in storage, I have put a lot of time time working on her so I think I am on a good path. Nice video, nice job and fantastic beautiful sound "doup, doup, doup, doup" 👏👏👏👏👏
I did a restoration of an early Velocette MS 500 years ago (which I no longer own) and this R51/3 reminds a bit of that bike which I was very fond of. Would like to see some pics of your hack. Are you documenting the resto?
Side stand is self made for the most part. The mounting bracket recently let go while on the stand. I was able to keep the bike from going over but the stand got scrapped. I'm now using a side stand purchased from Vintage - works great! vintagebeemerparts.com/vintage-bmw-r51-2-r68-sidestand-stainless-steel-complete/
