Any reason why hot weather will affect alternator and cause not to put charge to the battery? No problem in the mornings when is around 70 or 75 degrees but once weather reaches upper 90 degrees the alternator will not engage and the car will be running on battery charge only.
I have a 2005 Suzuki XL-7, and, have had three Alternators,as well as 2 new batteries, still won't charge, so, it's off to the junkyard even though it looks and drives great, when it is running that is, totally frustrating!!
You need to run a “standby current test” in order to check for any electricity loss, maybe the alternator and battery are working properly but the loss is big. Also check the difference of voltages between the battery and the alternator.
The alternator does not help the battery to start the car at all🤷 The alternator is necessary to keep the battery charged so that it will be able to start it again next time, sure
Thanks this clear explaination about alternator.

Nice you didn’t explain at all why the alternator it self goes bad
Battery will last longer in colder environments? Drive in Canadian winters where we go through a battery every year sometimes lol.

True sirt
"Engine wont run without alternator"... laughs in diesel
Diesels dont have alternators? Wtf?
@@Superinstakilla they do, but can run perfectly fine without one, older diesels at least, not common rail
