Nice different views of the trains.
Hexthorpe bridge brought back memories of my early train spotting trips to Doncaster from Cudworth or Cudeth if you live around Barnsley.
I remember seeing an A1 on standby duty also there were steps down to a platform where the curve towards Sheffield is, we walked to the Works and climbed up a fence to see what was in the building, to find out it was the paint shop building. Not quite sure what the exact date was but we saw Dwight D Eisenhower & Mallard inside.
What a day that was we walked right up the sports field, and got into the works at the very back end, what a day. Loads of locos mainly Diesels but the odd steam shunter's.
Those were the days, but we got escorted out via a bridge that goes over the station to an office, where a bobby took our names and addresses. Yes we gave him false ones, then they just walked us to the end of the bridge and that was it.
Then off to the sheds to see loads of A1 steam engines on the scrap line. W P Allen & Great Northern are still in my head.
Enough of me rabbiting on, Look forward to your next 1

Hi! Pete brilliant video as usual, sorry you’ve not been well. They should’ve done the naming ceremony in Doncaster, e and my brother went to the original one at Doncaster when Valerie Singleton, Peter Purves and John Noakes bless him were there, brilliant day loads of people there too as I remember, keep up the good work and look after yourself x 😊😊

@sandramatthews2047 Many thanks, Sandra. I'm glad you enjoyed it . I think we went there too if I remember rightly. It's quite annoying that all these Doncaster built loco's have all the pomp in the wrong places to make other people happy!!!!!....

I’d love for LNER to paint one of their class 800’s in the class 91 livery as it’s the classiest livery of any train set currently running in the UK, so much nicer than the livery on the 800’s.

@philipbolton2811 now Philip, that would be interesting 🤔 as you have hit the nail on the head with the current 800 class livery......

Great video Pete and I hope you are feeeling better. I see the undergrowth looking to the right in your view from Hexthorpe Bridge has increase again. This really blocks your view of anything going round the curve.

@davidsnapebrcrosslane8782 Cheers, mate, I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's a disgrace at Hexthorpe Bridge. I couldn't get any shots looking North towards the station . Was the sole reason I went, so I had to put up with everything looking south. Realy annoying
