Record labels will also make an artist work with a producer they choose, so the artist might end up receiving an instrumental they had no idea contained samples. One of my favorite songs by Tei Shi "Red Light" was removed from streaming services because her producer did not clear the sample before release. This was his fault and he's shitty for not telling her beforehand. Now you can only listen to the song on TH-cam, and it will likely never be rereleased again because of one person.
