The actress who plays Safiye is so beautiful!

Ahmed had potential. He was kinder than Suleiman and many others. He was also just in his family. Suleiman was a just ruler but wasn't just and fair in his family. I think if Ahmed had survived a bit longer he could've done many magnificent things. Could become a good sultan. He wasn't as magnificent and just and brave as Suleiman but a lot kinder and liberal and understanding. Suleiman somehow was arrogant in a lot of sense and paranoid. And I'm talking about the series not the history.

Safiye had no personal loyalty towards anyone with the exception of Mihrimah.......She was well trained by Mihrimah to put the dynasty first and personal relationships after the dynasty....If Sultan Ahmed had died before giving birth to sons, the whole dynasty would have been finished...hence she supported him when he said he will spare his brothers life.....

Wow, Halime fear and terror was so obvious about what Ahmet would do to kill her other surviving son Mustafa based on the laws of fratricide that a Sultan kills off his brothers when they ascend the throne. Halime had already lost her older son Mahmud who had been murdered on the orders of his own father Sultan Mehmed, the same way Sultan Suleiman murdered his own son Shehzade Mustafa years ago

They kept spouting off about ancient laws and conventions like the sultan has no choice. But the law says a sultan MAY kill his brothers to keep order, not that he has too

I can't process. Who is who's son. Selim and nurbanu's child is murad. Murad's wife Safiye. Then I lost count 😅

Safiye and Murad's child was Sultan Mehmed who died. And Mehmed and Handan had Ahmed who just got the throne. As for the brother who died, he was Sultan Mehmed and Halime's son.

You seem REALLY paranoically obsessed with Hurrem. Your every comment drips pure hatred for “MahiDEVIL”. Deeming from your comment, you even are Greek, not even Turkish. Why such paranoid pure fanaticism? In the end, they were all humans, with desires, loved ones and aspirations.

The bane of ottoman empire started with women wielding power. Suleiman the magnificent's era saw the rise of sultanat of women and decline of ottoman power.
