Wonderhussy you are the epitome of cool . I vote Wonderhussy to become a National treasure . She gets it and brings it home . Lots of us don't have the mobility to explore . So props to this wonderful ❤️ wandering explorer . National Geographic kept me hypnotized as a youngster . Today I have this treasure known as Wonderhussy . Who knows her shit . Thanks girl for all you do . So great to see you have so much fun . Much love and respect to you .

I love it. I have been over much of the old Route 66. I intend to see more of it in the future. "The plopping of turds." You have such a romantic soul, Wonder Huss. 8-) I don't understand the minds of people who trash and vandalize cool places any more than you do. When I lived in Coos Bay, there were miles of forest behind my parents house. People would drive into the woods and dump their garbage when there was a free dump only five miles away. Quite often, my nephew and I would see them driving up the dirt road with their pickups loaded with garbage. We would take the short cut behind my parents house on foot and be waiting for them when they got to the end of the road where they always liked to dump. We would step out of the forest and say "Ok, boys, you can just load it right back up, at least if you want to get out of here in one piece."
My understanding is that the Apache were only dumb enough to mess with the Navajo a couple of times, and the retribution was so devastating, that the Apache left the Navajo alone for ever more after that.

A modern service station was built at Two Guns in 1963, and in the late 1960s a motel, western tavern, reptile exhibit, and new zoo were added. Later, a Shell service station was built and a KOA campground opened. The decline began in earnest in the mid 1970's as the Energy Crisis and repeated recessions occurred.

"...the tinkling of pee and the plopping of turds!" You are precious, Darlin'. Busted a gut on that one, I think you've found your calling. Just discovered your videos this past week and have been enjoying them immensely. You are a Darlin'. You get a fat "Atta Girl," for this one. Don't ever stop and keep up the good work, although would hardly call it that as you seem to be having as good a time making them as I've had watching them. Kudos.

I can tell you that I did swim in that pool when I was a kid & yes it was a KOA KAMP! The logo shape is clear in the sign. Then there is the K instead of a C in camp. Also, the office/gift shop had a specific shape that was KOA all the way in the good old days traveling route 66! I don't remember much about the caves, but I do remember thinking it was better than Disneyland or Knox Berry Farm because it didn't have those long lines! Nice piece & I'm kind of sad to see it in ruins....but I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles!

Weird if you go on googie earth and click on the old "cowboy" water tower there in Two Guns,AZ you will see a man and
woman on a two wheel bike pulling a two person seat on the back. They made a movie ,"Jesus of Malibu" and you can
only watch it where ever they show it and only in the outdoors usually in the desert. Hippie RV nomads. Hey Sarah nice

I remember talking to a person at the museum and they said people from all over the world travel old 66 so it's no surprise you seen French tourists in Two Guns.

Hi WH I've actually seen the Apache Death Cave before but not to that depth. Opps, pardon the pun! I believe that most of those stacked stones, glyphs and the stone building on top are native American artifacts are genuine. The lion cages, garage, and other contemporary buildings are not.
It was nice to see all the clean up being done on Two Guns. Whom ever is picking up all the trash is doing a good job.
Your singing is really good one of these days someone is going to discover you..
I don't know how you do it. When you went back in the cave It was really exciting. I was really happy to see all the twists and turns. That glyph on the ceiling is sacred. They still use the caves for ceremonies. Gave me an uplift. Although you got in there so deep it was creepy!
    Thanks for the blog

Spelunking is always fun. I went with my brother and his friends to a spot in Santa Cruz California. I was barely 150 pounds back then. Wow! You've never heard of Two Guns before?? 😲 You missed Canyon Diablo that's right there too. It was an old lawless 1800's town with people getting killed all the time. Nothing left of the town but it's pretty cool just to go there. People also go there looking for pieces of the meteorite that fell in that area. The town was named after the canyon there. Diablo Canyon is pretty deep! Lots of history in that area. Read about it when you get a chance.
Hope you didn't get an arrow in your tire when you were leaving. LOL! ❤

Made 2 trips out west from my home-state of North Carolina back in the 1970's. Once in 1973 (I was 10) to visit the Grand Canyon and another time in 1976 when my older sister got married in Utah (she moved there). We pulled a travel-trailer down I-40 both trips and stopped at many of the old Rout 66 attractions that where still operating at that time (40 some years ago). I'm not 100% sure but that campground looks familiar and I am sure we stopped at Two Guns because I remember the story about the Ghost Cave.
Thanks for sharing you brought back some memories from my youth.

Saw your "girls guide to car camping" video and have decided to roll with a lot of it. Bought myself a VW Golf (Not as big as the Toyota but really good gas mileage) and I am currently headed across the country, Louisiana to Wash. Canadian border. I'm doing some car camping along the way and using your camping tricks. Thanks for that.
looking for a good and current book on hot springs in the west. Not much on amazon... Going to check REI when I see one.
    Thanks again! You're a peach!

I've been in this neighborhood about 5 times. So how did I miss this@@@#???? Gotta get back there. Pardner, I really thought for a minute there that Miss Wonderhussy wasn't gonna find her way back out. She is so funny. I laughed my head off about 7 times on this one. Recommend!

I've read some stories about the cave and it's on my bucket list.
I can't believe how big it is and how it's hardly known about now.
Thanks for taking the path least traveled on. Your Awesome!
