I'd love to see if there's a way to use an event to back time our way up to the top of the hour, from say about 10-15 minutes out, through an sql query, to find the correct timed track...then load it, and hit the clock within about 10 seconds +/-. The current 'smart timing' is close, but no cigar. That little trick could solve a whole boatload of problems with kicking off programs/hitting network timing and tightening up the hour without have to herd it around like a bag full of cats.
You're definitely on to something! I wish I was a better coder, BUT the code could look at the Estimated Playback Time data in RDJ and do some math to pull two songs to match the time required to fill the slot. The last song should have a fade ending to allow for flexibility. Many a moon ago, I used to work for Westwood One (syndicated radio) and our last song of the hour HAD to hit 59:50. SO, I've been there. Let me know if you come up with a solution!

I don’t have a service that provides these reports. I’m only fairly new to radiodj. I would just like to know how to add traffic / road reports to radio dj. And also my previous comments, how do I schedule commercials / sponsors
