    When making earrings or pendants with stickers, look for extra stickers of the same shape to place on the back, to cover the wire and make it look more finished.

    I've kind of found myself in a funk, but you've given me a new direction to go in. Thanks Matt. You remind me so much of my brother, he passed away in 2021. I started doing jewelry making in his memory. He used to work at a binary putting magazines together and for Christmas one year he gave me a bunch of jewelry making magazines and told me he knew I had talent for it. I miss him terribly. His name is Matt too. Thanks again. Love your videos.

    Hanging beads off side of container with paper clips cool. Paper clips have thin coating on them just strip it off. Didn't know that. Cool earrings.

    4th message... for those that don't know, Dollar Tree offers online, bulk shopping of most items you would find in store. That way , if item you're looking for is not in stock at store you go to, buy online

    2nd message: Another tip is to lightly, quickly sand the surfaces of items you dip in the hydro-dip so paint will stick better. And you can use acrylic paint for this too I believe. And colored inks I think

    • @MattsCrazyArt
      @MattsCrazyArt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Acrylic paint is water based. I believe you need oil based paint to stay separate from the water

    • @carlystone5994
      @carlystone5994 ปีที่แล้ว

      @MattsCrazyArt great point Matt! Turns out there is a way to do hydrodipping with acrylic paints: thin the acrylic paints with water first
      Also, the water may need a dash of borax or cornstarch to change the density of water to allow hydrodipping
      But experiment first

    The ideas are so creative! Have you thought about using other nail art supplies, such as nail stampers and water based nail stickers and other appliqués? The possibilities are endless! Those stickers are sensational! Coincidentally, I mentioned water marble nail art in an earlier comment on one of the earlier videos. If you use a squishy clear nail art stamper you would be able to grab the nail polish off the surface of the water and stamp it onto your bead (works best stamping onto something flat, maybe a popsicle stick). Let the polish dry a bit on the stamper first. By the way, what you call hydro dipping, is water marble, so try that search term 😂

    I had no idea finger nail polish did that. Hydro dipping is very cool.

  • @LittleFrenchHen

    More fab ideas, love it! I got some flat wooden embellishments (Nature themed) so I could use them in printing. I just realised they would make beautiful earrings too! Loving the hydro dipping with nail polish, so cool!

  • @carlystone5994
    @carlystone5994 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    3rd messsge Another tip is heat the bare paper clips in a pan, then dip in water to cool, then straighten them out. It will be easier, and more bumps can be flattened

    @Myart3699 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I love the metallic!

  • @carlystone5994
    @carlystone5994 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome ideas Matt!!!! One tip for gluing the bails you made is use 2 glues, a fast drying one and a slow drying one.
    The fast drying one - like hot glue, or crazy glue-will get it to stick right away so you don't have to delay the process.
    The slow drying glue ensures a stronger bond to last

    • @MattsCrazyArt
      @MattsCrazyArt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That might work for some things but you don't need anything stronger than E6000 for this, which bonds in less than 2 min

    • @carlystone5994
      @carlystone5994 ปีที่แล้ว

      @MattsCrazyArt It may work for what you need,but I usually can't stand E600. It easily peels off. Believe it or not, Elmer's glue,I forget which kind, takes long to dry, but my crushed glass projects are unbelievably set in place after it has taken a week to dry: no peeling off at all. Extremely strong

It got me going on water painting stuff I already had here & bought some funky glittery nail polish to finish the project, Yay!!! Ruben's music is good, especially like djembe :-) But what the heck is that sound at the beginning?!!!! No no for me 🤯 the intro is a bit too long for my ADHD 😂😅 C'est la vie!😊 You make me practice to focus🙂and try new colors and new materials, it's great!!! Bead white beads are a glossy acrylic. Like glossy wall paint, nothing wants to stick to it, its wipeable. The nail polish will probably just peal right off.

    Matt, I’m really glad that you found the jewelry pliers and jewelry making materials that I mentioned in my comment from your first video in this 3 part series.
    Sometimes it’s good to visit several different locations because not every Dollar Tree carries the same products. If you can find a Dollar Tree with a plus section, they carry resin and jewelry making molds along with dyes to make it more interesting.

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I just typed out a super long reply with all super dooper ridgydidge comments and praises that would have you thinking I was the best commenter but probably worst speller though best commer upper with new not even invented words yet to describe your talent and skill and how much I like it.
    Nail Polish - I want to try that too and have been buying a couple of different semi sparkly colours each time including a graphite colour with sparklies.... Wondering if addiing some nail polish remover or some Turpentine to the polish - even if you have to transfer the polish and its little ball in there to mix it, into another slightly bigger container - or get a couple of hands done and turps or remover in it.... shake the daylights out of it.... it might be a bit thinner and the water should still repell it.
    Those little 3D tiles are awesome. The Butterflies and leaves are superb - partiuclarly at the end when you folded the bits out more 😀
    Overall - loves it loves it loves it. That popsicle stick you could make that end into a little heart and put a jump ring on it and give it to your neice for Valentines Day, or your Sister or someone as an extra goodie in their post packet. :--D
