My mother is a teacher in government school in Rajasthan and the problem of children not having the level of knowledge, skill and education is multi-faceted. Under-staffing, quality of both teachers and students, lack of proper infrastructure, society's attitude, all plays its part.
Again my respect has gone much higher after seeing ASER report in your 1st headline. Truly a genuine reporter. I've seen the explanation of the report on a TH-cam channel named Deshbhakt. I don't know why but many people in our country avoid talking on these reports and suggestions much significant regarding education in our country.
Why am I feeling that the news coverage is getting weak day by day. We used to come here in order to get to know even about the news that are usually hidden by big media houses. Keeping education in sight...... there is a initiative called FLN and it'scovering whole India....and in this one student who r in higher classes but don't know how to read,to calculate and all are added ...and special faculties are added to teach them effectively with different activities..and i found it quite effective...students are finally discovering their potential,participating in competitions ,learning different new things ...so in my opinion it will take a little while but eventually i wish it to be fulfilled ...lots of love from Odisha❤
I am from M.P. and my mother is govt. a teacher and they also face the same problems like teachers are not able to teach even when they want to because of duties in different rallies, elections, lots of form filling which is of no use and other govt. programs. but I think what govt. should do is give this work to U.G. students as an Internship work and provide them Certificate of training. it will help students to get some experience. Teachers will also able to focus on their work properly.
