Haha. These are all true. He was fine leading on the court. Because his handles allowed him to control the movement of all the other players. But terrible in the owners box! That role was for Joe D. That backcourt, like much of that amazing team, is under appreciated. Detroit fans are fine with that.
If there is one NBA veteran that understands fundamentals and the right yet simple ways to improve your game its definitely Isiah Thomas. He would make a great coach for younger players who are learning the game
Today's 3 shooting skills are undeniably better but old timers would injure many of these kids, they wouldn't last a season. I mean Curry is the best 3 shooter I've seen but guys like Rodman, Issac, even karate kid Bowen wouldn't let them last a season
@@miopera40 lol let's not act like Curry would be a scrub in the past. He won't score 30 ppg, but he'd be pretty good with those skills. There are shooters back then like Dennis Scott, Kenny Smith who did nothing but shoot. None of those guys are close to Curry's ability. He won't be a super-star, but definitely an all-star.
@@damiester1 if curry were to play in the 90s first of all he would adapt the defense ofcourse and he isn't ball dominant , reggie miller had a hall of fame carrer running thru screens and steph is a master of it , i am sure he would be ok , players like harden and lillard they would have a hard time because they always need the ball literally always
this was so helpful, in all my life playing basketball I got 1 clean block on a shooter and man it was worth it. ball hit him in the face and everything
Interesting. Usually was taught to take away their right lane if they are a right hander. But Zeke is on the other side letting his hands do the guiding
I'm born an raised in city of detroit. But let me make this very clear on every basketball topic. Isaiah thomas is a pure hater. He knows himself deep down inside. You can't even mention M Jordan and LeBron james in the same sentence. It's no comparison.
"Now go up and shoot that shit!... *swat*" lmao you gotta love Zeke
Isiah is one of the smartest players I ever seen.
Bad gm tho
@@mumenrider1844 He is probably a better gm than MJ is as an owner
@@mumenrider1844 bro what
Amazing gm and talent scout

I always noticed how I got more blocks with my left as opposed to my right, so this was dope hearing an nba players explain why

But not a good GM😂
I absolutely love to hear Isiah talk basketball. His IQ is crazy! I've never heard this before. He's my favorite player of all time.
Did this man just say shit on live tv 😂
Elijah Roberson who cares
Great instruction....they actually let him get away with cursing on TV😂😂😂
It was players only, so you know they didn’t care 😂😂
3:23 ZEEK! LIVE TV MAN! :D
Zeke is my favorite former player ever
Hakeem the Dream Olajuwon
Zeke my favorite PG of all time... glad I am from 313 and was able to celebrate them winning back to back ships...
313 stand up!
Mine too. I'm from KY and have been a Pistons fan my whole life because of Zeke. Tough time being one these days though.
MINE AS WELL!! NO DISRESPECT TO ANY OF THE OTHERS
So that’s what Mark Jackson means hand down man down. Momma there goes that man
"Now go up and shoot that shit?" Did I hear him right? haha
bassican7 yes that's what he said u heard correctly lol
lucky mcnair I'm just surprised he said it like nothing on tv lol
@@bassican7 they ain’t called bad boys for nothing!
Big deal
WE HEAR WORSE ON THE COURT IN THE STREETS...
Lmao surprised they didnt cut Zeke's part out
The Bob Knight school of defense right there.
I used what he said this weekend in a pick up basketball game and I got a block shot and I almost got a 2nd block! Thanks Zeke!!!!
1:41 i got i got i got i got loyalty got royalty inside my DNA
Amazing lesson from one of the all time greats. You will steal the ball during pick up games a lot
isiah the goat
Dada not even close I swear some of you need to be banned from using that term
@Ben DC4L only little man to lead a team to multiple chips as well.
Learned something new. Loved that segment.
it's a different mentality back then. they were acting pissed if someone scored on them, know it's like whatever.

old skool is the best. "shoot that shit" (swat) lol
Wow that's next level teaching right there from the best one of the best that ever did it

Our sixth man would always block like the biggest the dude. He was no where near as tall as some of the other dudes. He was left handed.
Players only is the bomb. Now they just need R. Kelly to sing the intro for them.
Isiah is a national treasure!!! Love him!
Thx for the knowledge .
"now go up and shoot that shit!"
Forget a spin, a quick crossover and isiah is toast. Hes going to keep getting turned around playing d like that in todays nba
You can tell by Baron Davis mannerisms, that hes thinking i would cook this ni66a. It aint that easy unc!
1000% he a bum lol
I watched him at my high school, love what he's done.
Those 2 (Zeke & B-Diddy) are two of my top 3 favorite "little men" of all time; Tim Hardaway is the other.
Best true sized point guard
GIl sent me here
I implemented this the last time I played, I couldn’t believe how many cookies I got. All these years been doing it wrong
Great advice
Isiah Thomas is still the best NBA player for me. 😄😄😄
that shit was hilarious
yo I miss players only
This is a nice little nugget.
GOAT🐐🐐🐐
It’s baffling how such an intelligent player was such an awful general manager.
Why TF is Baron acting out for? Chill TF out lol a legend is trying to demonstrate something..

Vet approved.
He didn't explain when he got his dirty shots in, as a Piston.
what do your hands do when a right handed player goes left?
bill watson you do the opposite. What ever way there driving you keep that arm up.
You still use your left if he right handed
Wtf is Baron wearing.
The Goat
He whoop your favorite player!!!
Zeke savage
On open court inside nba don’t matter zeke don’t care he’s gonna curse FCC send me the bill lol
Free Ximo!!!!!
Alfredo Solano he's gotta new one
Barron showing no respect and taking it personal cause of being on camera
3:22
hahaha 😂😂😂😂
Why he never did that to Mike? 🤔
Cuz its mike lol and probably cuz dumarz was mike priority defender
Dumars was guarding Mike. Mike admitted Dumars was his toughest defender in his career.
He blocked an MJ jump shot. Not gonna search for it but I was watching one of their games on TH-cam and sent it to a few buddies
