Link having been raised by his mom making him a more hands-on parent more nurturing I guess. Rhett was raised his dad at home making him more traditional dominant dad if that makes sense.

This episode was really sweet. I'm not lucky enough to have children and I'm just about mid thirties, but I love the idea of this feedback and seeing yourself through their eyes. It's obvious there's alot of love there. PS - I was trying to think of my favourite memory with my dad and what came to mind for some reason is driving him to the city the year before last to Christmas shop for my mother (as we do every year) and we were talking about the weather. This made him start singing the song "Get the Urge for Going" which I had never heard before. Loved it. I always love those yearly trips. I remember another time where he was trying to explain how he wasn't raised to express love or give hugs in his family and that he has a hard time doing so. Telling a family friend that "his girls" (my mom and I) were the best thing he'd every done/had/created in his life.

For all of my time watching GMM, I’ve always seen more of myself in Rhett, but now that I’ve been listening to Ear Biscuits and specifically taking this quiz as well as watching this episode, I’ve come to the realization that Link and I have such similar thought processes and tendencies 😂

If someone asked me what my dad said a lot I would say “que bruto” which means how stupid. I’m a sensitive person, but I always knew he was joking and never felt stupid or any type of way about it. I’m not saying how Rhett’s kid feels, but I know a lot of people are feeling sad about the moron quote. I feel like if your kid can’t say it to you, don’t say it to them lol
You guys will probably never see this but I'd like to thank both of you. My depression has been really bad lately (due to personal things and also the current state of the world right now), but listening to you guys's podcast helps me calm down and feel less lonely. Thank you for keeping me company, you guys are the best.

I'm not lucky enough to have children and I'm just about mid thirties, but I love the idea of this feedback and seeing yourself through their eyes.
It's obvious there's alot of love there.
PS - I was trying to think of my favourite memory with my dad and what came to mind for some reason is driving him to the city the year before last to Christmas shop for my mother (as we do every year) and we were talking about the weather. This made him start singing the song "Get the Urge for Going" which I had never heard before. Loved it. I always love those yearly trips. I remember another time where he was trying to explain how he wasn't raised to express love or give hugs in his family and that he has a hard time doing so. Telling a family friend that "his girls" (my mom and I) were the best thing he'd every done/had/created in his life.
