Hope so, unless something crazy happens in China! I've ordered two of them and its been a long wait, but thats ok. I always have other stuff to do. Currently trying to fault find my reAmiga1200. 😢 And for good measure working through an assembly programming course for the Amiga.
@@Spriteworx really good video was good to sit through that, full of interesting stuff. Have you checked modern retro computers like the agon light? Apparently that uses a z80 processor a modern one. Would be good to see your take on it. I've been meaning to go through your videos on assembly but I find assembly tough...maybe when my speccy next arrives I'll delve into that
@@johnwilliams7999 thanks John. Glad you enjoyed the interview. It was fun. Nope haven’t checked out the Agon. I do like new systems (like the ZX Next) that have ties to a retro system. Not sure if the Agon has any link to retro computing other than having a juiced up Z80 processor tho.
@@Spriteworx yeah might be right about the agon. I'm considering getting the feonix 256k that is a proper juiced up 8 bit retro computer. You should check that out I think it has a 6502 processor.
@@johnwilliams7999 yep I’ve checked out the Foenix but I doubt there will be much support or development for it. The community is very small and the system itself has conflicting options like multiple processor and controller types with no real ties to any vintage system. The commander X16 looks much more interesting for development having a strong retro identity to the Commodore 16 and large community.
Thanks for the mention!! I am indeed the King of the oddballs!!! The Sharp MZ-700 is an awesome machine, and is very similar to the wee blue key.
Yes you are 😁. Yeah the MZ-700 looks cool with lots of great games.
Wow, we spoke that long. Like to old friends catching up. Was a fun interview. Thanks for letting me come into your home and play retro for a while!
Yeah it was fun. Was great getting to finally meet face to face. I thought I was the one visiting you! 😄 Hard to tell in this online world now.
@@Spriteworx Yes, maybe 1/2 here and 1/2 at your place. hah
Watched 2 hours so far during some breaks and work. Will enjoy the 2nd 1/2 later. Run rewatching what we chatted about.
I can’t wait to watch this when I get back from vacation! Love your shirt TJ!
Finally watched the whole video (over several sessions). That TJ is a real character isn't he...
Yep he sure is :)
1 more hour left. hehe. You did tons of hard work editing in footage from various avenues. Well done. Makes the video more complete.
Haha yeah the editing process turned out to be a bit more than clicking the “upload” button. Took a lot longer than the interview actually. 😅
You're right, an FPGA is physical hardware that can be reconfigured, it's not emulation.
Interesting chat. Im waiting for the next Next to be manufactured, I missed out on the first one.
I expect it will be shipping soon.

There's the Mega65 which is the C65 equivalent to the Next, and being FPGA it has a core that makes it into a C64 or even a Spectrum.
im 1 hr 20 mins in thats a lot of minutes LOL
Yeah it’s a long one LOL.
