34:50 is my grandpa Jim, one of the most caring and interesting people i've ever met. Forever an inspiration
I heard a bit about Jim Plummer when I was at Itek in the late 70s & later. Everything pointed to him being a great guy.
My father worked on Project Corona in the early 1960's!
38:05 John Wolfe doing his best William F. Buckley Jr. impression.
I love watching this old footage. Something soothing about it. Like watching Star Trek 😄
Norway apparently was the asshole neighbor that kept your football after it landed in their yard!
Great flick, very interesting .....
Sad that today we can't even build Saturn rockets. We have to borrow Russia's to launch anything now. The Saturn's were superior. They launched to end up 20 pounds of film! Imagine going back then and handing them a digital camera with TB storage cards!
I just found where Stephen King got the background music for Creepshow!
Alright so for one thing, america has one of the best launch vehicles in the world, actually a few of them, very reliable and one is partially reusable. Also, we have crew launch capability with crew dragon and maybe starliner will fly crew before 2030… also, spacex is making starship, fully reusable and more capable than saturn ever was, and NASA is making SLS, less capable than saturn but still massive. Also, thors and titans launched project corona satellites, not saturns. But yes, we do sometimes use russian launch vehicles… a rocket that has been flying since the 60s, launched more times than any other rocket, and has been relatively unchanged for that time, with minimal failures… of course we use them
🧐That "Actor" @ 15:25 Sure Looks Like Neil Armstrong Hmmmm? 🤔😲🙃
2024 and the U2 is still operational!

17:10 Black guy helping build this. I'm not sure what year that was, but it makes you wonder how he was treated off base vs. on base 🤔
Why was he not used as a role model in day to day TV instead of Sandford and Son broke junk yard jive talking street guys?
Why were they showing crime in black neighborhoods on the news instead of this guy on the news?
Imagine if the black community would have been more inspired to be like this guy than how much future ahead America 🇺🇸 would have gotten with unity 🤝 instead of suppression.
Inappropriate, to say the least.
