Ceratosaurus was not rare because of allos also some of the designs are from a inaccurate "documentary" And has some of the facts of it like allo made cerato extinct if that'd true we would find none ceratosaurus and even says primitive but ceratosaurus and allo came at the same time and may have ce after allosaurus and they probably didn't compete with other dinos like allosaurus torvosaurus and etc and ceratosaurus tail was not even that flexible it was more straight
@@furyfossil4407 I'm not sure. There are a few different species of Ceratosaurus, so that's one factor. it could also be genetics in different individuals.
While yes, *Allosaurus* and *Ceratosaurus* & *Torvosaurus* were in competition it was still a debate if they were in competition considering all 3 of the theropods lived and died around the same time. But I could be wrong.
I like to think of ceratosaurus living a hyena life style as it would live in big social groups and would have direct competition with allosaurus like lions
Great Animation and colors! But I believe that there is no paleontological evidence that shows ceratosaurus was driven to extinction by allosaurus. If I am correct that info is from an incredibly inaccurate series called Jurassic Fight Club. I also notice some similarities to the colors and models used in JFC. But great animating and such a flawless narration!
I noticed a pattern There was always competiton between two large theropods in the Late Jurassic North America: Ceratosaurus and Allosaurus Asia: Sinraptor and Yangchuanosaurus Europe: Eustreptospondylus and Metriacanthosaurus
the relationship between allosaurus and ceratosaurus is probably not very accurate. they served different niches so they would rarely compete. many people think allosaurus drive ceratosaurus to extinction drove this is not true. ceratosaurus was more rare, but the 2 carnivores went extinct at around the same time.
Sorry but your statement of Allosaurus driving ceratosaurus to extinction is now false, we have evidence that ceratosaurus actually outlived Allosaurus by more than a thousand years
Der Kragenhai THANK YOU, like it’s annoying when people say “Allosaurus outcompeted ceratosaurus cuz Allosaurus is cool!1!1!1” like it’s not even true anymore yet people still hold on to it and keep on thinking Ceratosaurus was the underdog, which it wasn’t Even 1 Ceratosaurus could give an Allosaurus a run for its money
@@skabaltlol8678 Exactly. They just watched the TV show Jurassic Fight Club too much. Allosaurus was only faster and around 500kg heavier, but it was worse in every other way.
Hmm i don't know if allosaurus outcompeted Ceratosaurus to extinction that felt like some Jurassic Fight Club stuff there. Late Jurassic North America has alot of predators that coexisted with each other. They probably had different niches in the environment.
Ceratosaurs wasnt weak and allosaurs do not caused its extinction they occupied different niches in the ecosystem And another fact is maybe the ceratosaurs hunted in packs
Riddle me this my name means heavy claw I'm related to spinosaurus but I don't have a sail and I played a role in jurassic world fallen kingdom what dinosaur am I can you figure it out before the next prehistoric world
I love this channel overall, but there's some misinformation here. 1. Ceratosaurus was barely taller than two meters, but possibly over 7 meters long. And we have evidence that its ancestors were over 8 meters long. 2. We have no evidence of competition between allosaurus and ceratosaurus, and ceratosaurus being driven into extinction by allosaurus is more of a paleomeme, falsely spread by Jurassic Fight Club TV Show (no, it has never been a documentary, it was made for children and teens to watch dinosaurs fight, no real info there). 3. Ceratosaurus was rare because water sources in the jurassic were rare too. It wasn't outcompeted by any theropod and had a drastically different lifestyle than any other carnivore at the time - it probably was like a jaguar, stalking the rivers and hunting crocodilians instead of chasing smaller prey (well, C.magnicornis probably was a forest hunter, but that's the smallest and earliest ceratosaurus species). C.nasicornis was more aquatic than its ancestor, while C.dentisulcatus was probably completely into croc hunting, it was also the largest and bulkiest. 4. Its bite force was relatively strong for its size, even stronger than allosaurus. It probably used these teeth to penetrate crocodilian armor, just like jaguars today. 5. It was smaller, but bulkier than allosaurus. Proportionally, it was larger in most aspects.
@Aiden Andrews i mean it is somewhat true. The aquatic thing is not confirmed. Ceratosaurus did came later on. And also the place it lived it had the 4 large to medium sized late jurassic carnivores(three if Saurophaganax is a species Allosaurus). How would these guys live together at the same time. Jurassic Fight Club can be full of BS sometimes.
Awesome facts about the Ceratosaurus, Jurassic relative to Carnotaurus, my favorite abelisaurid dinosaur.

ok after this is all to The Ceratosaurus.
Very nicely done: talked about how primitive it was compared to Allosaurus and it's features.
Once again, you've made another glorious masterpiece, nice work dodge 👍👍👍
Nice job dude! I didn’t know the reason why Ceratosaurus was rare until now! After Baryonyx, do ankylosaurus next!
