I have the exact opposite issue you do. On a sunny day at the range my red dot washed away. I went to green on all my guns and rifles problem fixed. All of mine are Holosun. I just ordered a CT2 for a budget video.
Just received 2 T10 green dots from Amazon for my shotgun. 1 of them my friend and I just spent an hour throwing it around at his range and confirming zero now and then. After an hour of tossing it at the backstop I was able to chip the glass after baseball pitching it at the building cender block wall. Twice… looks like junk now but still works. Other is now on my Mossberg 590A1 sbs. Great for a cattle defender in my UTV.
@@poortac5568 I put it this way most of us are training more than actually having a gun fight . The optic should last majority of your training sessions . That's where I see you get the most value as usage each training session whether on the range or classes. Price is what we have to pay so the manufacturer can profit off us. If we could get it close to nothing we would . That goes for all of the well known brands as well.
Thx for the review. I'm looking for a micro for my new g45. These keep coming up in my suggestions on Amazon. I'll prob end up with another Holo but, I appreciate the unbiased info
Great honest review video. Some reviewers love everything cause they want to "make it". Keep doing what you're doing. I gave you a subscription, a notification, and a thumbs-up!
Wow...very good review & presentation. I don't have this model...yet. But, I do have the WOLF0. I do like it & haven't had any issues with it. It's mounted on my Tisas px9 gen3 Duty. Subscribed...
@@leciaman Not always. In general, name brand has less lemons and better QC, R&D, and implementation (the new Olight Osight is a good example of bad implementation and R&D). The green color is mostly personal preference though 👍 I think pistol red dots have been out long enough for most “budget” companies to make a decent optic. The problem I have run into is they dont test out their stuff before selling it. I often have to get a replacement from companies, because of this failure. That said, for non serious use, most work fine.
Unpopular opinion- Holosun is not a duty use brand. Iv had too many of them break under light duty conditions to ever trust them for real field use. The only holosun I somewhat trust at this point is the 403B aka the $120 Aimpoint T1... Only reason being I haven't had one break yet and they're actually seeing some real world use in Ukraine right now with surprising success.
if you do the sagedynamics drop test the $300 507C will break like it did in his video, and to begin with the glass isn't much bigger than the RMR so your absolutely right
I carry it but it's never been abused I blow dust and degree off then clean it with the provided glasses style cloth . . Can't understand how it seems to keep accumulating scratches
Because I prefer things to be overbuilt. Im cautious by nature. A lot of Chinese products I have used work fine most of the time, but because their electronics/wiring is usually cheaper, I see more failures in the long term compared to higher end stuff. Granted I have seen plenty of high end stuff take a dump too, so maybe you are on to something 😂
I’m surprised your not catching hell for your kid being a kid ..I started a gun channel 13 years ago and i use to catch hell when my kid made noise ..people would say” turn off the damera and be a dad “ “Take care of your kid!!” “Someone call cops!” I just bought this optic for my g/17 or maybe a dagger now I’m gonna buy a few for all my pistols ..awesome review!!! Also I wasn’t throwing shade at all just sharing my experience…I know people are way worse all these years later
@@satinwarship Yeah, I think the youtube crowd had gotten more tolerant of gun stuff, even though youtube itself hates it. I bet all those people in the past have kids now 😂 thanks for watching man!
Sad thing is an RO at the range I go to has taken apart 3 different dots. This one a holosun and something else ( all the cheapest version like the 407) he ask us which one went each site.... they looked the same to me except one had a tiny black box on it. I'm not sure where I stand on budget optics. I have this one and it works
I doubt they are targeting night vision users as much as they are not wanting to be excluded by those who have it maybe for a home defense or range gun

I understand that this may not be duty grade but i dont think the bad guy is gonna care what brand dot they are getting lit up by 😂.

Hey man just curious my ct2 has some scuffs on the glass or coating on the glass not sure which one but how would u recommend buffing it
Im not sure that you can. A glasses repair kit might work. Im unsure whether or not that would distort your image though.
Thanks for responding I was curious because I heard u say something in the video about buffing something out on the glass

great optic shit is crazy

Never understood if you use it constantly at the range and it works great and you hardly ever going to use it in self defense how its not reliable 😂
