Mel, i just have about 40% of the ME perfumes I bought.... I did many blind buys, gifted and sold the ones it didn't work.
They are getting way more expensive and I hesitate more to but them
What it is left: Narissa Rose Musc, lattafa Angham, Thoug, lattafa Liam, Orientica Melodie, junnon noir
I had Bright Peach and sold it. One reviewer once described its peach note as "dirty", a dirty peach and I agree....

      Hi!
Agreed! I am buying fewer middle eastern fragrances for the same reasons. I recently added Junoon Noir and really like it.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting 🥰

At (10:28) I think your talking about the Avon Fragrance from 1985 called "Imari".....in the dark maroon burgundy bottle & cap...an Aldehyde, Floral & Amber classic !

I really enjoyed your descriptions. I have Nebras and I adore it. I layer it with Fire Cracker Pop a cherry scent from Bath & Body Works or Sweet Cherry. I literally have multiple people follow me around if I wear it out and compliment me. It’s divine!😊

As for the packaging, I totally understand it’s frustrating to find the lid off, etc. but they are DIRT-CHEAP & the packaging sometimes floors me in the way I can’t fathom how I’m getting both an incredible juice AND a sturdy glass bottle (or what have you) for like $30-$40! 😅So I can’t imagine not putting something on my list due to packaging. I just completely overlook it & honestly feel fortunate when the bottles aren’t HIDEOUS😂as so many are just awful to look at.

Hi Mel, I am in Tasmania, fell in love with Middle Eastern perfumes May last year after getting Long Covid and feeling my body chemistry or my love for some perfumes altered and I was also frustrated at becoming nose blind to a lot of my perfumes. By chance I fell in love with a perfume oil and that began my journey of discovery of these perfumes.
I have 2 large perfume cupboards, in a stable cool area of our house and own too many 😅, too afraid to count them, but have run out of space. I have always loved and collected perfumes.
I am attracted to the more intense perfume and also like mysterious or noir scents, but also adore fruity florals with vanilla and spices.
I love so many and love how I can smell these on myself after hours.
I have had to blind buy them all, by reading about the notes , watching my 5 or so favourite reviewers and careful consideration but 4 or so were total fails.
Opulent Red was one of my first haul of 6 perfumes and is one of my signature scents, a lady ran after me wanting to know what I was wearing 😂. I am on my second bottle and have 3 back up bottles.
I own 3 other perfumes of the perfumes you mention. Nebras is lovely.
    Thanks for this video.❤😊

      Hi Tia!
Another Opulent Red devotee! 🥰 I am so pleased. I can’t get enough of that one.
I absolutely can relate to what you’re saying about enjoying the stronger nature of the Middle Eastern fragrances. I think I have been collecting these type of fragrances for about the same amount of time as you.
I’m in Regional Queensland, up in the mountains west of Brisbane in Toowoomba. Cooler temps and less humid than Brissie.
So lovely to meet you. Thank you for sharing this 😊

@@melraefinds9748 Same here, it is soooooo wonderful and affordable. I read so many negative reviews but felt it was my type of perfume and it was love at first sniff. I am addicted to that one for sure. It always makes me feel wonderful and you can always smell the perfume even the next day. So glad to find you 🥰😍 A lot of the perfume reviewers do not like Opulent Red. I have read some hilarious reviews about this. I know we all smell things differently and have different preferences which is great. And our body chemistry is different, but my best friend in Germany also bought 4 of my most loved Middle Eastern perfumes and she loves all of these and some days when we write to each other we find out we are wearing the same ones on that day despite the different seasons and weather. Opulent Red, Bade'e Al Oud Amethyst, Maison Alhambra's Berlinetta , all these 3 are polarising scents that last and last and the perfume oil Rasha by Al Rehab which is also so beautiful ( again a beast scent and polarising). I wish you a lovely day, from sunny Tasmania, Tia

Hiya, Mel. Just found your channel and subbed. I'm in the US but my fragrance choices match your seasons better, I think. Your winter, my summer, I'm ready for Khamrah and Mohra. It's fall here and I'm craving chypres. Go figure.
I'm seeing quite a few differences between what ME fragrances you're able to get when compared to here. Is that a thing?
Looking forward to watching more content from you. All the best to you.❤

      Hi Alisa!
I would say, regarding affordable ME fragrances, that in the last 6-12 months absolutely everything is also coming out here, with similar release dates to US (which can be ahead of UK and Europe, not sure why). There are fewer distributors here and in Australia we can’t get fragrances on Amazon (postal regulations, not sure).
I’m definitely getting choosier, and climate dictates that if I stack my shelves with the heavier scents, they will sit there neglected for much of the year.
The “affordable” ME fragrances aren’t as cheap here, relative to the prices of the fragrances they are duping when those fragrances are on sale. Again I think this is because there are fewer distributors currently. So, again this makes me choosier. It can make more sense to get the original here … sometimes.
Regarding availability it can actually be harder to find good oldies. I have finally tracked down a bottle of Junoon Noir for instance.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment.
And welcome to the channel 🥰

    Hi Mel,
    I'm a new subscriber!
I bought a cheapie called Mousuf by Ard Al Zaafaran recently and Solace by Ajmal, both kind of freshies I've liked.
Also a romantic perfume called Romancea by Ard Al Zaafaran, which i enjoyed for the most part but it got a little sickly toward the end of the bottle.

Your description of Satoor sounds amazing. But then I went to Fragrantica and saw that it’s compared to Bright Peach. Bright Peach is not my favorite kind of peach. Have you smelled it? Wondering how similar they are. Your description makes me think they aren’t that similar. Just wondering if you have thoughts on this. Thanks. 😊

You have me curious now too. I’ve not smelled Bright Peach. They DO seem like a similar idea from the note break down (I just looked 😊)

Hi Mel! I sold my bottle of Royal Musk. It smelled amazing in the bottle but the musk turned cheap on my skin unfortunately… Nebras and Honor and Glory also have left my collection. I bought many Arabian perfumes but a few have stayed in my collection to be honest. They just don’t agree with me. Amber Oud Rouge, Sublime and La Fleur Bouquet are three I really enjoy wearing.

      Hi Julie!
Thanks for sharing these (successes and the ones that have left)
I really think I need to get Sublime. I love Eden Juicy Apple. Interesting you love the Amber Oud Rouge, I think that whole range is too heavy for me.
Recent disappointment for me is Mystique Bouquet by Afnan. Nice scent but SO weak. I’ll give it some time.

@@melraefinds9748 I got Sublime last August or so. I do love wearing this but it is not a perfume I reach for all the time. I have not worn it during the cold months and for me I have to be in the mood for this but to me it has a sort of mystery to it, it starts of so tropical on my skin and I love plum notes so much but then it somehow gets a touch earthier or a slight twist because of the moss note. I may actually put this on, after I do the house work and have a shower, now I am writing about it 😀. Some reviewers mention that it has a slight hint of Baccarat Rouge 540 but I do not really feel so.
