It's lovely to see you so relaxed and happy today. Big stressors dealt with! As a health professional, can I suggest that when you get your will done you also appoint a legal enduring power of attorney so that (god forbid!) if anything happens and you are unable to speak for yourself, you have someone you can trust who can speak for you. We strike it all the time at the hospital where I work where things happen and no one has been appointed and it then has to go through court hearing to appoint someone and that can take weeks.

Always good to have reliable local tradesmen, we have some good ones here in our village. We have had a few tomatoes and cucumbers from our small 6x4ft greenhouse so not too bad!!! Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick as they say!!! Lovely chat Vivi xxx

I use a shampoo/conditioner bar from poundland thats plant based & comes in only a box & its great they last me about 3mths at a time as i have quite thick hair but they have a gentle smell xx

I’m so glad and relieved for you that you have been making headway !!!! Thankfully the computer situation and boiler are sorted out - two necessary biggies . I mentioned a few times , that I find everything works out in its own time , one by one until the larger picture is complete !! You now hopefully have the encouragement to continue down your to do list . Most folks are helpful and I’m happy you found a few of the best in their fields!

The slugs have demolished my beans this year - just left me with the stalks !🙂 I think you do very well with technology - you make videos after all which I wouldn't have a clue about and I was lucky to have my son-in-law set things up for me when I needed a new laptop.
I could do with borrowing him! 😉
If you ever have that trouble with a laptop keyboard again, when things stop working you can get a replacement very cheaply and easy to swap out. Our now 15 year old grandson picked some of the keys off of our then new laptop 12 years ago, my husband paid $28 for a replacement and it is still working well. Love your channel!

Ohh, workmen - I had a man around yesterday to give me a quote for new flooring (yeah, me the person who is asking, who is paying and ultimately who will choose the contractor - but he didn’t want to give me a figure, or even a ball park estimate and said he would send a written quote to the person who recommended him to me - …so I think I might find someone else instead…! I couldn’t decide if it was because I’m a woman, or that I have a visible disability, but he definitely wasn’t taking me seriously and I’m wanting to give him nearly £2,000 of my saved up money.
I’m still carefully working my way through some shampoo and friend gave me a couple of years ago - it is extremely foamy so I water it down massively and I’ve still got over half a bottle left but I only wash my hair once or twice a week, otherwise it goes really dry and frizzy.
…and loo roll - I use one roll a month, but I know I don’t ‘go’ as often as other people, don’t worry it’s normal for me(!) but people just assume I’m lying 🙄 also, I have to use catheters.
How absurd and infuriating having to deal with that kind of tradesperson. Grr! I hope you kind find someone else soon and get a great job done.......enjoy it when it's finished. 😊

I need to do a will, I don't have children and not married so I don't even know who I would include in a will! Also my nephew is well provided for. But very good advice about being clear with addresses and names etc.
I'm the same as you Viv, when my computer just wasn't working properly I was having a meltdown. I went to Curry's and the first young girl I spoke to just didn't get it, that I'm old and don't understand all the latest techno. Then I wandered around and managed to grab an older guy and he was amazing. I hate having to get anything new these days 😂

You mentioned that you need to start sewing again for income..... just a thought (and this is from someone who knows Nothing about sewing so it could be a riddiculous idea but) have you ever thought of doing aprons like the lovely one you wear? I know you have said it was a gift to you but to my untrained eye they look easy to make & i'm sure they would sell very well. I would def buy one & judging by the comments I'm sure lots of your subbies would too.

Interesting comment about your bar shampoo Vivi. The bar I bought last Sept. is almost done. You mentioned that you think your hair feels thicker. My gal who cuts my hair said my hair feels a little thicker than it did with bottled shampoo.

I stopped using shampoo in December. I use hot water (not enough to burn though) and then I use apple cider vinegar as a conditioning rinse - then rinse well after that. My hair is really soft and it has got thicker. The colour is better too. I was quite surprised and only had a little greasy patch initially but it soon sorted itself out. I'm using the old shampoo to clean my combs and brushes!

What I absolutely hate, because I’m not tech savvy, it that computers do NOT come with instruction booklets! I would be willing to pay for a separate instruction booklet, but everything is on line. How can I see what to do+ how to do it if the instructions are on line?
I think companies would sell far more electronic equipment if they start providing written instructions.

It's good when the tick lists have the tick beside it and the plan starts taking motion. It's all about timing and what that looks like for you.
I have made a shampoo bottle last over a year, and the same for a tube of toothpaste. Lockdown declutters and sorting things out helped turn the over consumption into minimal consumption.
Like you just living life my way.
Today, I harvested rhubarb, potato- plot one, and carrots. Tomato plants are still on the flower stage. I'm not sure of any fruit this year 😊
And the broad beans 🫘 😋. I made them and had them on toast. So scrumptious. I had the lot and thought I needed to increase growing quantities next year 😆 ❤

Maybe people with longer hair use more product or maybe people shampoo twice when they shampoo. I only shampoo once. With soap bars, I think if you let it dry out between uses, it lasts longer. I am using a shampoo creme that comes in a jar that you just need a generous dab of, so I have to think to use the proper amount. Otherwise, I grab too much and waste it. I want to try shampoo bars after hearing you talk about them, but I need to use up the products I have first. It's almost August and I barely am getting squash here but, I still am harvesting mustard greens and the blackberries have been beautiful and sweet.😊

Hurrah for the new laptop purchase and list ticking! As you say take your time setting up the new one as you have a backup. I am sure you will be happy with the processing speed compared to your old one. Does it have USB ports? If yes, you can attach a card reader adapter so it would take any size card. Hope you are enjoying the Olympics! I am going to try a shampoo bar too. Very hot here but enjoying the sunshine. ☀️

I use Foamie shampoo bars and they last me 6 months. I like to keep them for 6 months before I use them. They cure more and last longer. Also letting them dry after every use helps.

Some people wash their hair every single day, which I think is too much. I’ve got frizzy hair and have always washed it once a week, so a bottle of shampoo can last me up to a year 😂 and the shampoo I’ve got was only £3 (Timotei) so that’s about 6p a week 🤣. Also, my tomato plants (outside in pots) are laden with toms but they’re tiny and green still. We just haven’t had the weather to hurry them along. Anyway, great video 👍
My hair is baby fine, very soft. I have had a bottle of shampoo for over a year and a bottle of baby shampoo for clarifying for over three years. My hair takes only a drop or two. I wash my hair every other day to keep it fluffy. I keep my hair short because it is so fine. By day three without a wash, my hair just flops.
